My Little MonsterVerse: Canterlot Uprising (SPECIAL PREVIEW)

The bell rang to signal the end of class, and the end of school for a mid-term vacation. From the Chemistry class emerged star pupils Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle, who were both formerly subject to the powers of dark Equestrian magic. From P.E. came along Rainbow Dash, the best athlete in school, and Applejack, a tough, apple-lovin' cowgirl and farm worker. Biology soon released Fluttershy and Wallflower Blush, two socially timid and awkward students who liked to keep themselves to themselves. Last but not least emerged Rarity and Pinkie Pie, the school's resident fashionista and party-planner respectively. The eight girls congregated outside of the main corridor, greeting each other with warm smiles and excited giggles.

"I can't believe we're on vacation already, it feels like time has really flown" Fluttershy remarked, brushing her hair to the side so it wouldn't block her eyes.

Pinkie Pie gave out a loud gasp, an indictator of one of her famed Pinkie Rambles of Pie Family Wisdom. "You don't that maybe there's a girl in this school who has the power to manipulate time and is using that superpower to make time go by WAY faster so that we can get more vacations??" Pinkie exhaled, having completed her short ramble.

"Well, I personally wouldn't dismiss that possibility, Pinkie Pie, but I would really like it if we met a magically-powered teenage boy, for a change. To keep things fresh rather than recycling the same old magic-girl thing again and again, and having them become she-demons again and again" Rarity concluded, acknowledging the fact that all of their challenges were always linked to a teenage girl. The other girls simply blinked and stared at her, as she nervously laughed "Oh, come on darlings, surely you're all just as tired of magical girls as I am!"

Twilight cleared her throat and adjusted her glasses slightly before speaking. "Well, um, that...odd conversation, out of the way, what are we gonna do together for the first day of vacation?" Her question was met by a series of many different suggestions being fired across all eight girls all at once, before a young man came over to offer his suggestion.

"Well, I've no idea what you girls enjoy doing, but the beach is a first-day MUST DO for vacations. Plus," He pulled out a series of vouchers from the pocket in his shorts. "I can get free ice cream" The girls all smiled and Pinkie Pie even squealed with excitement.

"OHMYGOHSOHMYGOSOHMYGOSH HE'S GOT FREE ICE CREAM VOUCHERS, WE NEED TO GO WITH HIM!!!!! PLEASE WILY, PLEASE!!!!" Pinkie cried out with excitement before promptly having her mouth covered by Applejack's hand. The boy grinned and let out a small chuckle, before nodding as Pinkie shook her body in an attempt to get herself free.

Wallflower Blush lived up to her name and blushed as she smiled and played with her hair "Thank you, uh....w-what's your name"" She asked him.

He held out his hand for Wallflower to shake "My name is Jake. Jake Pentecost." The girls each shook Jake's hand one at a time, before he began to walk away again. "See you all down there."

-A Few Hours Later, At The Beach

The gang of girls were already commencing their fun in the sun down at the beach in their own special ways. Twilight was inspecting the washed-up body of an incredibly rare species of jellyfish, Sunset was playing a game of beach volleyball with Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Wallflower, Rarity was relaxing under the protective shade of an umbrella, and Pinkie Pie was frolicking in the water with Fluttershy. Jake was walking around with a lifeguard's uniform before approaching Twilight, eyeing up the jellyfish curiously.

"What sort of species is that? Never seen a jellyfish with pulsating blue veins before" He remarked, gently poking the blob with a thin stick, causing its vein-like structures to pulsate once more. "Kinda freaky"

Twilight got up from her knees and acknowledge Jake's reaction. "It is rather curious. Jellyfish commonly don't have any visible networks of blood vessels, so it could potentially be a new species of Man-O-War, but even then, the anatomy doesn't add up." As the two of them exchanged confused glances between one another and the jellyfish, everyone present at the beach was interrupted by a sudden beam of blue light erupting from the distant sea and vanishing into the clouds.

Jake shrugged. "Probably just some teens setting off fireworks"

However, as Jake finished his sentence, a sudden orange light was seen, just as the charred body of a fighter plane suddenly crashed into the sand, causing an explosion that knocked a few people several feet back. In the distance, a large, beastly figure began to rise up from the depths, letting out an earth-shattering roar as several panicked civilians began to retreat into the city, Jake becoming lost in the crowd as Twilight ran toward her friends as they all stood and watched as the mysterious creature began to slowly tredge toward the shore.
