Next morning I woke up and headed up to forge as usual. When I arrived I met my boss.

"Hi there Iron, did you slept well?"

"Well yeah kind of."

"Oh okey and by the way I heard what happened last night, you know that thing with protestants. And I must say I´em proud of you."

"Well thanks, but how do you know about that?"

"Well you know some guards entered our forge this morning and after they questioned me on progress with weapons and armor they started about SOMEPONY who saved night guard patrol from dying, SOMEPONY with blonde mane and red coat and SOMEPONY really familiar to you."

"Okey busted it was me."

"And I´em so proud of you and," He stepped closer to me and putted a hoof on my shoulder. "I think your parents would be proud too."

"I hope so."

"I know so" He said. "And I aslo know that some commander gave you opportunity to join the army."

"Well yeah, I met him and his name was Duck Keeper I think and he really said I should join, but still it´s an army and I´em only.....well me."

"Yeah and that´s why I think you should join, because you are you."

"Yeah but.......I just don´t know."

"It´s okey, if I know they are not recruiting only today so you got time to think about it."

"Yeah you are right."

Then a moment of silence.

"Well let´s get to work, it will help you clear your mind."

"Yeah you are right as always.......thank you."

"Anytime my friend."

And after that we again began to work. After work I headed home. Somehow that day I decided to change my way home this time over the main square on the second level of the city. As I was nearing the square I hearded sounds of protests.

"Not again." I said to myself.

When I was around the corner I saw protestants......again. So I decided that it would be best if I go and call guards, but before I could do anything one of the ponies stepped in front of me and started talking.

"Hey where are you going the big thing is about to start."

He then grabbed me and pulled me to the crowd of protestants. He must have thought that I´am one of them. As I was pulled through the crowd I heard something about fire and emblem.

"Finally it is here," mysterious stallion shouted from wooden stage "now we will finally show Celestia and her supporters that Princess Luna will bring peace and harmony to Equestria" said mysterious stallion.

"Long live Princess Luna!!" shouted crowd of protestants next to me.

This is madness, I thought to myself as I slowly tried to leave the crowd. When I was at something like edge of the crowd I decided to run away. Unfortunately somepony saw me and shouted.

"Traitor!!" stallion shouted as he pointed with his hoof on me after that one pony at a time looked behind. Then next thing I know are words "Traitor" shouting behind me and me running for my life. When I was at the entrance of palace I finally stopped. As I nearly collapsed from exhaustion I heard those protestants again. I won´t deny that I was scared also as minutes passed by I started wondering "where are those night guards? Shouldn´t they guard the entrance by now." As I was wondering I heard protestants getting closer and closer. Then I fall on the ground exhausted. At that point I was practically begging for help as they approached me and suddenly I fainted and all I remember was sound of blades. I woke up in shock.

"W-what happened"
"You are safe now" voice talked to me "you have been sleeping for two days now."
"T-two days….." then I realized what happened "wait what happened, are the guards okey? What about the protestants"
"Told you he would freak out, you owe me twenty bits"
"Yeah yeah whatever"

As two voices talked I could recognize one, but the other I could not.

"Anyway see ya on the training grounds"
"You too"

Then I looked at the silhouette standing next to me, as the moments passed I could saw who it was.

"Duck Keeper?.....AH I mean Keeper I mean sir" I said as I raised up my hand to salute
"It´s good to see you again Iron Heart, but it´s bad that in this state"
"Yeah" I said with little giggle
"Anyway what do you remember?"
"Well just sound of blades and darkness before my eyes"
"Hmm….."
"Anyway what happened when I passed out? You helped me?"
"Well kinda yeah, I realized that because of these protests it would be matter of time before something like attack would happen so I went to the princess telling her about it and my solution which was that the night guards should be guarding the main entrance through the night and because I have one good friend who is the nightguard I said that he would guard it with his team and it was useful as I see"
"Well yeah…..Em is there something that I can do to repay my rescue?"
"No need of that it´s our duty to help, but if you want to "repay" us for your rescue then there are two options to do it, one don´t get in contact with protestants again or you can join us"
"Me? Joining the army?" I was once again shocked
"Yeah you could help us fight for equestria, the true equestria, but I talked to you about this once already didn´t I, tell me have anything changed?"

I thinked about the forge and about the incident that happened. It was true I still wanted the normal life and all, but if I take the chance that something like that might happen again to me or anypony else.

"Well I let you think about it" he said as he was going away
"You know what" he suddenly stopped "I might not be the best soldier under the sun" he turned his head little to the right just enough so he can hear me "but I really can´t carry the thought of this happening again to me or to anypony" he began to smile
"It´s settled then" he said "I want to see you tomorrow at the training grounds" he said as he turned enough to make eye contact
"Yes sir" I said with salute

He than smiled and went away, I knew that it will be hard, but thought of something like that happen again to anypony, I can´t just stare and do nothing I must fight and I will fight for better equestria.

"Well obviously, who don´t have bravery at situations like this" said Bronze
"Yes, but after what he went through I mean he almost died and he just stand up and fight that true bravery"
"Yeah yeah whatever what´s next?"
