Everypony got busy preparing the potion. Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Rarity, Shining Armor, Twilight Velvet, Night Light, Starlight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy, all stuck themselves with lancets to extract the blood samples. Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Rarity, Starlight, Twilight Velvet, Night Light, and Shining Armor extracted samples of their own magic. Luna, Celestia, Cadence, Rainbow, and Fluttershy preened their wings to get feathers. Applejack heated a goblet of cider until it was steaming, then everyone put the special ingredients in, creating the potion that Twilight was to drink. Nopony knew who would zap the potion to activate it, then Flurry Heart flew away from Cadence, confusing her for a second. Cadence then understood what her daughter was doing, when a blast flew from Flurry Heart's horn. The potion took on a warm glow of amber, and Twilight raised the goblet to her muzzle.

"Will it hurt?", Twilight asked Luna.

"I am afraid so.", Luna replied.

Twilight gulped in nervousness to hear her say that, then drank the potion slowly. For a moment, it seemed like nothing was happening.

Suddenly, without warning, "YAAAHHH, I'm getting a headache.", Twilight yelped, as she dropped the goblet to the floor of the room where it shattered.

Then, she felt a burning sensation on her back. Then suddenly, reflexes forced her to stand on her back hooves as if she were a person, and not a pony.

"What's happening around her neck and her front hooves?", Rainbow nervously asked Luna, when she saw that all three spots were glowing with bands of bright purple light.

"COVER YOUR EYES NOW!!", Luna shouted.

Suddenly, Twilight's neck and hooves shot into straight positions, as the rings became beams that encircled her head and her hooves. She felt agonizing pain, and screamed as she felt what would seem to be wings, physically growing from where she felt the burning on her back. She screamed louder as the pain worsened. Then there was a flash that blinded everyone, and Twilight's agonizing scream faded.

The part where beams shoot from Twilight's head and front hooves resembles the scenes in Doctor Who, when he regenerates.
