Fly to the Stars and Back (Redone)

“So the war is over?” Twilight asks as almost everyone was online with her, waiting to hear what happened.

“Yeah, I think the overlord finally had enough as they were taking such losses without gaining much.” Lightning says drying her mane.

Rainbow raises an eyebrow. “So when are you three coming home?”

“We will be there tomorrow, have to go slow for a while to keep up appearances of this being a giant blimp.” Lightning says.

The foals cheer and Blazer smiles. Twilight smiled as she looked down to Arcane. “Guess you are finally going to meet your dad tomorrow.” She said tickling his stomach, making him laugh.

Fluttershy looks a bit concerned. “What about Blitz, where is he now?”

Lightning sighs. “Still resting a bit. He really worked himself to the bone and left himself injured the whole time. Now Minerva has him healed up, but we’re leaving his body to do the sleeping. By the way, Daring, he used a performance enhancement syringe.” All the mares saw her twitch at that. “But there was a good reason. If he hadn’t done that, I don’t think any of us could have survived that onslaught of monsters. He saved us Daring and all he got was a good knockout punch. He’ll be fine and just to make sure, Minerva has flushed his system of that thing. He’ll be fine, just let him pass on this only.” Lightning said, trying to ignore the now slightly mad Daring.

“Let me see what these monsters were.” Daring says.

Minerva comes into the call now and giggles a bit. “And I made a cute little video for each. Almost like it’s a roll call for each.” She plays them and tries to hold back snickers at the faces everyone makes, expect Lightning. “So? Forgive him now?” She asks after stopping the last video.

“This one time.” Daring says.

Lightning sighs. “Good, now then. We also have a visitor coming over. Blitz’s squire named Whirlwind. So be nice. Also, when will you introduce Arcane to Celestia?”

“She is supposed to come tomorrow.” Twilight says.

Lightning nods. “We should be there a bit sooner, but we’ll try to make getting there our first priority.” Twilight nods as Arcane giggles at her. Lightning smiles and waves. “Hi Arcane.”

“He is just so excited.” Twilight says smiling.

“Oh, by the way, this is the fiefs we are aiming for.” Lightning says sending pictures and copies of the documents.

They all soon start looking over all the choices and smile and go wide eyed at some of them. “We don’t have to do it now. We can choose when Blitz is properly woken up and well rested.” Lightning said finished up.

“Oh look at the lovely ballroom.” Rarity says.

Lightning shakes her head and smiles. “Yes Rarity, you can have dances with him soon enough.” She said teasingly. “Now then, I have to rest as well and really get some sleep. If you need anything, ask Minerva. She will take control for the rest of the way. If anything pops up that requires our attention, tell her and she’ll get to us.” They all nod as they kept looking over the choices and even the foals and Blazer got into it. “Well, night everyone.” She said before cutting off her connection.

Twilight looks up for a bit and sees Minerva winking at her. “Night cuties.” She said before cutting off as well. Twilight shakes her head as Arcane keeps looking around at the choices.

Spike sighs as he looks at the three fillies sleeping around a bit in his bed as he keeps looking over the information as Slender comes up behind him and wraps her hooves around his shoulders. “I think I can take over now. Want to send them back?” She asks him.

Spike nods as he keeps looking at them. “Yeah, it’s been long enough and you are back now. I kinda get what you planned out for this. You wanted me to keep calm and steady minded. Only those three and you could do it. Well, you did fine on that. Though now, we have to send them back before Twilight and the others start bucking my tail.”

Slender giggles. “Or…we could have them stay here for a little while longer. Maybe have some fun.”

Spike stares blankly at her. “Slender.”

Slender sighs. “Fine, we’ll send them back. I’ll have that cute pilot fire up a ship since we are so close to Equestria.”

Spike smirks. “Except you are still cute to me, same level as the girls here.”

Slender giggles. “That’s true. I’ll get them home now.” She said picking them up with her shadow tendrils and placing them on her back. “I’ll be back and remember, your test is coming up.”

Spike sighs. “How could I forget?”

Blazer yawns as he wakes up and gets out of bed and pokes his head into the hallway. “Mom, are there any chores?” He asks her as Applejack comes out of her room.

Applejack shakes her head. “No, the princess is coming over to Twilight’s castle to see your brother. We have a break today. So grab your things and let’s grab a bite and head out.”

Blazer nods. “Okay mom.” He said heading back into his room and grabbing his wrapped swords and putting it onto his back and heads out and grabs an apple off the table in the dining room and gives a wave to Big Mac and Granny Smith before they both head out.

“So daddy is coming home today?” Blazer asks.

Applejack nods. “Yep, Blitz is coming home. Now remember when princess Celestia is there, try to be on your best behavior or at least yourself since Pinkie would just jump in her face. I’m sure she will understand all of you.” She said as they reached the castle. “So, have you ever seen the princess?”

Blazer looked at her. “Just miss Luna.”

Applejack smiles as they enter the castle and sees the others already there. “Hey there guys. Sorry about being late, but I couldn’t let this guy look groggy when the princess gets here.” She said as Blazer went up to Azure and let him get on his back.

Applejack then noticed the sour look on Rainbow’s face. “Still sore you can’t fly huh?” Applejack asks.

Rainbow growls. “Shut up, shut up, shut up.”

“Don’t worry Dashie, you’re in the final stages.” Pinkie says cheerfully.

Twilight smiles as she sees the state of Pinkie. “And you are close in front of her since Rainbow was after you.”

Pinkie giggles. “Yeah, I’m going to have a bouncing baby foal soon and we’re going to have so much fun.”

Applejack smiles and wraps a hoof around. “It isn’t all fun and games Pinkie. I’m sure you know that.”

Pinkie nods. “Yep, foalsitting the cake’s foals taught me that.”

“My queen, the sun princess is coming.” A changeling said from the window before it climbed onto the ceiling.

Twilight takes a breath. “Alright guys. Get ready. Arcane, come here.” She said grabbing him and holding him.

Soon the door opens and some solar guards come in and line up on both sides before they see Celestia walk in with a stoic face, yet trying to smile all the while. “Hello my little ponies. How are you this fine day?”

Twilight smiled. “Just fine princess Celestia. Also, Luna is here and will meet you later. For now, you wanted to meet my foal, well, here he is.” She said holding up Arcane as he coos at Celestia.

Celestia smiled. “Well I am glad to see you have a healthy unicorn colt. Blitzkrieg must be so proud of his new family.”

Twilight nods. “Yes, but he’s not a unicorn.”

Celestia now looks confused. “Oh, then what is he, as I can see a horn right there?” She asks, pointing to the horn.

Twilight turns Arcane around slightly. “Well he’s an alicorn. See, wings.” She said as his wings flap a little. Celestia stared at him as Twilight turned him back around and he laughed a bit. “Um….princess Celestia, are you okay?” Twilight asks, seeing the shocked look on her face.

Celestia then starts to frown. “No.” She said.

Twilight and the others get confused. “What?”

Celestia points to Arcane. “No, he must not be alive.” She stated, making the others gasp or start to frown and slowly move closer around Twilight and Arcane. “He can not be here nor must he ever. I want him gone!”

Arcane whimpers a bit before starting to cry as Twilight stares at Celestia in shock. “Princess, what…?”

Celestia kept frowning until she hears a hiss and looked up to see dozens of changelings staring at her with malice before they all landed onto the ground and surrounded everyone, protecting them. “You disrespected the prince and our queen.” One said.

Celestia looks even madder than before. “So that was the magical explosion. The bug gave you control. No matter, I want him gone.” She stated.

The changelings hiss again as they try and back everyone up. Soon the royal guards move to Celestia and moves their weapons ready to attack while the guards that Twilight had move in front of the changelings and point their weapons at them. “Please, don’t do this.” Twilight whispered.

Celestia growls. “I will say it one last time. That colt is now ban…”

CRASH

All of the occupants in the room were sent to the ground from the force of the crash and they all groaned as they all looked up and saw the smoke clear to a four prong metal spike. “Wha…?” Applejack tries to asks before the prongs spread themselves outward and reveal a hole which then something jumps out that they could only describe as crawfish creatures with large claws that look metal. “Oh no.” Twilight whispered as she pushed Arcane behind her.

The changelings were the first to rise and hiss at the new occupants of the room and they responded in kind by opening their claws and firing laser bolts at the changelings to which they killed a few. Everybody screamed as they all backpedal away.

‘Twilight, screech.’ Chrysalis said.

“What?” Twilight asks.

‘Screech!’ Chrysalis yelled.

SCREEEEEEEEEEEECH

Everybody covers their ears as Twilight opened her mouth wide and screeched so loud that the new threat had to cover theirs. Twilight soon stops as everybody puts their hooves, talons, or claws down and looks back to where they were looking.

Blazer groans as he puts his talons down and looks down to see his sword bag open and loose. He goes to grab the black one first before the new threat growls at him and points it’s claw at him as Blazer holds the sword against him until it fires and Blazer covers himself up, sending the sword out a bit from his swing arm. He waited and waited, but the burn or pain never came. He looks up again and sees the two things growling some more before they both fire again and hits his sword as he covers himself up and sees the shots hitting the sword and actually getting sucked in. “What?” He asks himself taking out the sword now and sees it glowing the same colors as the shots fired at him.

The two things roar now and open both their claws and starts to fire at him as Blazer holds up the blade and absorbs the shots until he smiles. “Cool.” He said before thinking and then held the blade behind him and took a swipe at them and actually sent an energy cutter through the air and hit the creatures and made them stop as it went through them. Everyone stops and watches until the two fell apart in half.

Blazer keeps breathing until he looks down and sees the blade glowing a bit before dying down to it’s usual black sheen. “Huh.” He said to himself before grabbing his other sword and taking it out as he then sees more come out and they all aim at him as Blazer holds up the white blade and feels a bit of recoil as each shot sent to him is actually reflected back at them, though it was spread widely and only hit them a few times. Blazer frowns a bit and quickly switches to the black blade and takes some shots before switching back to the white blade and while holding it up as best he can, he swings his blade at them and sends the energy and takes out a few of them, leaving only two again.

The other changelings immediately pounce on them and starts tearing away at their armor and biting into them until they fall. Everyone in the room tries to breathe as they try to understand what just happened. “Blazer, that…was…” Rainbow starts to say.

Blazer stops and turns around to her. “I’m sorry mommy.” He pleaded.

“Awesome!” Rainbow finishes.

Blazer blinks as he stood in his pleading stance. “Um….okay.”

Applejack smiled as she put the swords back into their place and quickly put the straps around him. “You definitely earn these.” She said as Arcane and Azure cheered for him as everyone else crowd around him and gave him their own thanks.

However, it was soon broken once they realized that Celestia was still there and they looked to see her staring at them as the changelings and guards surrounded them again. “This doesn’t change the fact that the colt is banished.” She said coldly.

Twilight closes her eyes before glaring at her. “Shut the buck up!” Everyone in the room looks wide eyed at Twilight as she steps forward. “I want you to listen to me, good, Celestia. I’m the princess of magic, I’m queen of the changelings, I’m married to Blitzkrieg and have a son named Arcane Force who is in fact an alicorn. So if you think you spilt my life apart like that, then you got another thing coming. So if you want to do it, then say it to my face princess!” She yells now up close to her and glaring right in her face.

Celestia stared wide eyed at her as Twilight breathed hard from her rant. “Twilight…” She tries to say.

“Tch.” Twilight clicks her tongue and turns around. “Come on guys. Let’s go.” She said to the others as they all started to walk off.

“Guys! Get the bunkers now!” A voice suddenly came through.

Twilight holds up her leg. “What’s going on Minerva?”

Minerva looked frantic as she ran around. “Listen, you got space pirates inbound. The one that hit your castle wasn’t the only one. You got to get out now! I’m hurrying the ship over and waking them both up and I’ll be with your step in every way. Just run!” Minerva yells as she gets close to the screen and then it shuts off.

Twilight stares at where the screen was before putting her leg down and looks to Celestia and her guards as they stare at them. “Next time you mess with my family, you won’t get a second chance.” She said before turning to the others and Arcane who coos from her back. “Come on guys, let’s go. I want all changelings watching us and helping anypony who comes our way as well. That bunker is for everyone, no matter who it is. I also want you two to help Blazer. Those swords may help get us there.” She said to two changelings who nod and pick up Blazer. “Blazer, try to hide behind those swords, you are not yet ready to fight head on, but at least you can give some time for us to get through, okay?”

Blitz’s eyes suddenly shot open as he awoke. “Aw, good, you’re awake. Now then, get your things and suit up. We got in trouble.” Minerva said through the coms of the ship.

“What is the situation?” Blitz says getting off bed, making the sleeping Lightning fall off.

Minerva suddenly comes in through the door. “Space pirates. They already launched a landing spike to Twilight’s castle. I think they took care of it and they are heading towards a bunker. Now they are sending more spikes, dropships and attack ships flying through the air. Mandalore has already been notified and he has an attack plan in place, however, he has left the other things for us to deal with. Now get up.” She said leaving before poking her head back in. “Oh and Celestia tried to banish Arcane.” She said before really leaving this time.

Lightning groans as she brings her head up. “Suit up?”

“Minerva, add Celestia to the list of things I want to kill most and prepare my Raptor for launch from here.” Blitz says.

“Yeah, about that, we didn’t receive your Raptor, but we did receive a fighter jet.” Minerva says.

“Come again?” Blitz asks.

Minerva giggles nervously. “Yeah, Mandalore had your ship rearmed and changed some vehicles you had in the docking bay when we were attached to the Darkline.”

Blitz frowns. “Well why in the bloody hell did he do that?”

Lightning shakes herself before heading for the armory with Blitz following. “I would think he has something for you. Now, you got something for me in the meantime Minerva?”

“He sent you something new.” Minerva says.

“If it is a Tomcat or a Super Tomcat or even a Su model it, might not be enough for this.” Blitz says.

“So I guess you don’t want it then.” Minerva said as they almost swear they see a smirk on her as they enter the armory.

“I guess even a Mirage 2000 will do.” Blitz says.

“Ew, no. I actually like something different than the standard jets that the enemy uses in those video games.” Lightning said getting her armor on. “Maybe a super hornet.”

“Hey, the Mirage is a good multi-role fighter for newer pilots to fly. I should know, it was one of the jets they let us fly while in training.” Blitz says.

Lightning rolls her eyes as she stays quiet before they get all their weapons and armor and heads down to the hanger. “So what do we really get down here, cause I need something that can turn better if those pirates can almost turn on a bit.”

Blitz raises an eyebrow as they stop at the bottom and heads out to find an aircraft Lightning had never seen before in her search through all the files in her studies, in the hangar waiting to launch.

Lightning just steps up to the jet. “Um…what is this?”

“I can’t believe it. I thought they were still in the design stage of this. The CFA-44 Nosferatu.” Blitz says stunned.

Lightning looks back to him. “So is this yours then?”

“It is now. Mandalore says that this might just give you the edge you need. It is also equipped with the two special secondary weapons that were developed with it and electronic countermeasure pods.” Minerva says as Blitz starts to smile.

“Minerva, send him my thanks, but…” He looks to Lightning. “What about her? What do we get for her?”

“Unfortunately, she hasn’t trained to fly a jet and we only received the Nosferatu.” Minerva says.

“Very well. Love, looks like you are my copilot for this sortie.” Blitz says.

Lightning smiled. “Good, I hate to be on the ground again. My hooves are killing me.”

“Very well. Minerva, what is our ETA?” Blitz asks.

“Thirty minutes from the shore of equestria with the Darkstar One with our current fuel being low and the engines running on slow to be able to fly. But if launched from the magnetic catapult, you would make it in five on the Nosferatu.” Minerva says.

“It’s funny you know.” Blitz says.

“What is?” Lightning asks.

“One of my greatest fears in my life has been vampires and now I am about to fly a vampire of the sky. Minerva sends out the word to commence operation Dawn Hammer.” Blitz orders, his voice going from humorous to serious, walking towards the fighter.

Minerva smiled. “You got, prepping the catapult.”

Lightning smiled a little. “You have three wives who are vampires.” She reminds as she gets in with Blitz and the jet starts to move.

“One vampire, one hybrid, and one artificial.” Blitz corrects placing on the fighter helmet.

“Oh, one last thing, before I launch you two.” Minerva says.

They look up as they start to head down on a platform and Lightning puts on her helmet. “What?” They both ask.

Minerva shows them both the emblem on one of the fins of the fighter to see an eagle holding a constellation of stars shaped like a cross in its beak. Blitz chuckles a bit seeing that. “He even branded it with my emblem.” Blitz says.

Lighting chuckles as they reach the end and they start to hear some electricity running and a door opening ahead. “Minerva, once you’re there, try to get the others and stay low and get out fast as far as you can. I don’t want anyone hurt in this.” Blitz said as he watched the light. “Lightning, you did empty your stomach and everything, right?”

Lightning looks at him. “Of course, it was a rough few days, why?”

Blitz smirks as he puts his visor down. “Cause it’s about time for me to fly again. Southern Cross launching.” He said before the light changed to green and they were both pressed into their seats as the jet launched away and Minerva just chuckles at their reactions. “Oh, this is one for the scrapbook.” She said to herself as she saves the photo.

“Wake up boy!” A voice yelled, making Spike yell out as he fell out of bed.

“What, what’s happening, are we under attack?” Spike asks as Slender looks down to his covered self as the bedsheets wouldn’t let him go.

“Time for your final exam. Report to the room immediately. If you are late by even a second, it is a failure.” Mandalore says.

Spike tries to salute. “Um…yes sir.” he said before shoving the blankets off of him as Mandalore runs off. “Looks like we got a big one. Can you head to the observation deck?” He asks as he gathers his things and actually puts on a coat that was given to him as a gift from one of his other commanders.

Slender jumps off the bed and shakes herself. “Do you have to even ask?” She asks gathering him up on her back with her tendril and runs off before dropping him off at her stop and lets him run off to the room as she heads up.

Twilight watched as the guards tried to herd all the populace into entrances of the bunker as she saw ships starting to descend.

“We got everypony from the east part of town.” Octavia says as a few ships land about a mile outside of town.

Twilight nods. “Good, how far are the west coming along?”

“We left that to Applejack.” Octavia says as Azure starts making noises on her back.

Twilight sighs. “Okay, you and Azure head down and take Arcane. I’m going to stay a bit longer.” She said taking him off her back and giving Arcane to her.

“Twilight, we got incoming.” Octavia says as her eyes widen.

Twilight looks up and sees a wide ship settle almost over the town before it starts to open a hatch under its front end and they see it light up before a loud whistling came from behind them and they quickly look to see a missile fly straight toward the gunship and hits it as it fires off a shot and aims widely to which it hits the nearby mountain before exploding in midair. They soon hear a roaring sound as a jet passes by where the gunship was and flies up before leveling out and circles around the town. As it flies by, Azure is reaching out to it.

“Sorry I’m late for the party.” A voice came from their omnitool.

Octavia and Twilight put their hooves up and see Blitz on the other end, sitting inside something. “Blitz!” They yell.

Lightning leans a bit into view, behind the seat Blitz was in. “Yeah, I’m here too. Just in case anyone was wondering.”

Blitz smirks. “Miss me?” He asks cheekily.

Twilight then frowns. “I’m really going to slap you once this is over.”

Blitz playfully looks hurt. “Why Twilight, you would hit me after saving you and coming back after such a long time?” He asks, trying to hold back chuckles. Twilight growls a bit as Azure and Arcane cheers at him. Blitz smiles as he sees them. “I’ll be there as soon as I can you two. Just need to take care of these goons and daddy will be back with you soon. Lightning, you ready?” He asks, turning his head to her.

“You know it.” Lightning said holding up a hoof.

“Don’t start the party without us.” A voice said over Blitz’s jet radio and they looked to see a line of jets coming in from the direction of the base they established a long time ago. “You always kill the fun before we get there.”

Blitz laughs out loud as he recognizes the voice and jets. “Oh guys. Where have you been? I just killed one already.”

“Told you we shouldn’t have stopped for a snack.” A female voice said.

“Hey, I was hungry.” Another male voice said.

“You’re always hungry enough to eat a whole fridge.” Another male voice remarked.

“Eh, shut up!” The male said.

Blitz was trying to hold in his laughter now. “Jeez guys, what made you take up comedy?”

“War.” They all said as they started to line up and follow Blitz’s jet.

Blitz shakes his head as he looks back to Twilight and Octavia. “I’ll help finish the fight up here. You guys get to safety. We got this, right?” He asks the new pilots.

“Right!” They responded as the line cut off from Twilight and Octavia.

Lightning leans in. “Um…who are they?”

Blitz smiled as he turned to one jet. “Razgriz 1, is your X-02 Wyvern flying well?” He asks.

“This is Blaze, she is flying pretty nice for a new gal. Still need to work on the sticky trigger.” A male voice said as Lightning sees a man waving at him.

“Roger and it looks like you brought your ball and chain. Razgriz 2, how is yours?” Blitz asks.

“This is Edge. Ready to rock and roll. Though they still need to fix this screen. Come on dammit!” A female voice said as Lightning sees a female pilot hitting her dashboard a bit. “Got it!”

“Roger, Razgriz 3, what’s your status?” Blitz asks.

An old chuckle sounds out. “This is Swordsman. Still kicking it. And those idiots forgot some armament in the rush for us to get up. I think mine just has one of them missing.”

Blitz shakes his head. “Don’t worry about it and take down as many ground targets as you can. After all, you still got your machine guns and your BDSP.” He said before turning to another. “Razgriz 4, how about you?”

“This is Archer. Still working like a beauty after being built from so long ago.” A male voice said.

“Yeah, you best not insult that model, it shares the name with my copilot.” Blitz says.

“Sorry ma’am.” He apologized.

“None taken.” Lightning said.

“Ok, Demon Lord, did your son Blaze have to dig you up for this?” Blitz jokes.

“Hardy har har. Just wait till I beat the amount of kills Cross. And this is Cipher, signing out till our kill count and when you guys want me to hold your hand.” A male voice said.

“Right, right. Anthares 1, how are you and your terminator doing?” Blitz asks.

“Don’t make me do a terminator joke. This is Scorpion, ready to strike.” A male voice said.

“Right, Mobius 1, how are you and your Su-47 Berkut?” Blitz asks.

“This is Ribbon. Ready to cut them into shreds.” A serious male voice called out.

“Right, Gryphus 1 here confirming all things are optimal. You get all that awacs?” Blitz asks.

“Ghost Eye here, confirming all planes. Be advised that the enemy is landing at two locations on the continent. Most of our ground forces are engaging the other site and ground reinforcements are an hour out from your location.”

Blitz smirks as he sees more dropships and attack skiffs coming in. “Then let’s get to work. Raise the shield over the continent and charge the hypervelocity gun and start taking pot shots at their spaceships. Don’t let them land. Razgriz squadron, you’re your own squadron. All others are with me in the other. Assume double echelon formation and take them.”

“Roger.” They chorused as they move around and then into formation with their squadrons.

“Question though, this seems a little small for an attack force, don’t you think? Where’s the rest of them?” Blaze asks.

“In space, they were not expecting a defense like this and with the shield, they can’t start bombarding us from space and they can’t land without risking being destroyed with our hypervelocity gun firing at them.” Blitz informs.

Blaze chuckles. “Wonder what defense they are facing against. Is Mandalore taking the chair again?”

“He is amongst the reinforcements coming, but enough talk, starfighters inbound. Let’s show them who rules the atmosphere.” Blitz says.

“Oorah!” They yelled as they all sped off at high speeds to reach their targets.

“Keep those drones spinning around the ships. Get our dreadnought into there, use the asteroids and get under them. Tell them to aim their turrets around a ninety degree angle. Shred them. Get all fighter pilots between them and the planet and hold off the dropships. Do the skiffs if you can. Have the drones fire in a straight line if the ship is pointed at a cruise ship and when you have a clear line of sight. Use the asteroids as help against beam fire.” Spike called out to which the commanders on the second level below him filled out and the many pilots on the side of the room ran the small ships as he kept moving the view around to make sure he saw everything.

Slender sighs. “So, they finally came. Never thought they would come here.”

Mandalore sighs. “To be honest, they would have come here eventually. This is a mineral rich system and it has the biggest amount of minerals needed to build hyperspace relays and drives. What pirate couldn’t pass that up?”

“Really, what is so valuable on the planet?” Slender asks.

“Well, platinum for one.” Mandalore says.

Slender nods and looks to Spike as he messes around with the Darkline itself personally. “And maybe gems? They are good focusers for laser systems.”

Mandalore nods. “Yes, you can hardly find those on other planets that are right near the surface. One square acre can contain enough gems to build an advanced armoury, but the element that the populace has yet to discover yet is one of the most valuable resources in the galaxy. This planet is like a gold mine of Element Zero.”

Slender tilts her head at that. “The fable element that makes hyperspace and weapons possible? Fascinating, though you may want to speak with the rulers when they ask why they were attacked. I couldn’t as I am…well, you know.”

Mandalore snorts a puff of air as Spike turns to one of his commanders. “What’s the status on the EMP cannon?”

The commander looks it over. “Fine, but they got shields for that. Good enough to take enough shots until we are blown up.”

Spike thinks for a few. “Bring up the energy displacement settings on the EMP cannon system.”

The commander turns to him. “Sir?”

Spike looks at him sharply. “You heard me.”

The commander shakes his head before making a screen pop right in front of Spike and he starts editing it. “You want EMP, you can have it.” He said to himself. “Activate the systems for the EMP cannons and send this to all of them.” He said as he hit one last button and pushed the screen down.

Mandalore raises an eyebrow. “Changing the settings?”

Slender almost seems to smile. “You’ve played a game for so long and then figure, hey, I brought this to have fun, so let’s have fun and you start getting into the console system and messing around with the numbers?”

Mandalore looks at her. “Can’t say that I have. Never had time to play games, not even card games.”

Slender shrugs. “Pity. You missed out on grand ideas. Those who break the rules on how it’s supposed to play, will make the opponent of the game suffer when played fairly again.”

Spike grins as the ship carrying the cannons moves closer to the pirate cruise ship. “Fire the cannon.” He said to which the commander hesitated a bit as she saw the shield still up before hitting the button and fired the cannon and sent a beam of energy to the pirate ship and hit the shield. “It soaked it up.”

Spike smiled. “That’s the plan.” He said as the energy starts to look like it was going the opposite way. “Tell them to fire their main laser cannon and hit the ship in front of them. Use the energy for the cannon from the energy they are collecting from the pirate ship and redirect their own energy for the shields.”

“Yes sir.” The commander said as she smiled at what he was thinking.

They all watched as the ship’s shield lit up before their main cannon fired a blue beam at the pirate ship in front of them and hit the shield, but kept going until the pirate’s shield died out and the beam went right at it, making it start to explode all over.

“Impressive, using an EMP the opposite way.” Mandalore remarked.

Slender grins. “Told you. Cheaters in games, can be smart in real life.”

Spike nods as he sees another down. “Good, now back off and recuperate.” He then turns the view around as he sees the destroyer move along steadily, but not firing as the pirates attack them. “How are we doing?”

“Shields holding, but it will go down soon.” A commander of the ship said.

Spike nods. “Tell them to arm everything and have at least seven canons of any kind aimed at all the ships around it.” He said moving his talons around and taking control of the drones. “Tell them to not fire until my signal.” The commander nods as all the turrets start to move in the direction they need to be. “Hold.” Spike said bringing out a flat map of the area and directing a fleet of drones to the destroyer before sending them into the pirate ships and the drones swarm them, mostly in the places where they view and windows. “Descent and open fire on the belly of the ships.” He said before the destroyer descended downward before firing into the ships as the drones flew away before some could be completely destroyed and headed back toward their battle groups. “Nice job. Finish those guys off and get into the midrange fight.”

“Sir, fifth of the pirate fleet is decimated.” Another commander in front of him said.

Spike smiled. “We are having a good time. Keep up the attacks and make sure to hold those dropships and skiffs away from the planet. Don’t have the starfighters come back to our positions or they will risk it.”

Mandalore watches it carefully. “Not so gung ho now. He’s holding the ones that can be destroyed by explosions away from the fight. That placement is at least twice the amount between his and the pirate ships.”

Slender sighs. “When you present numbers, they use everything they got. When you present real lives, they hang back and think long and hard before taking a jump to where they would have normally just walked slowly though to get there.”

Mandalore nods before looking at her carefully. “You seem more knowledgeable then you let on.”

Slender keeps still. “I’m over a few thousand years old, of course I would be smart enough for this.”

Mandalore nods as he turns his attention back to the fight. “Get those drones back to a clockwise rotation and have them clump together. Send out our EMP again. I want him moving as quickly as he can to the far side. Have the drones start making a circular disc shape between us and them, but only a small area. Give me layers upon layers and have them keep spinning, the next layer in an opposite direction and have them fire in between the gaps they have. Have the Darkline get up behind it, but go silent.” Spike orders.

The ship lurches forward as everyone in the room hangs on for a bit before the Darkline starts to move. “You sure it was a good idea having the room connected to the Darkline?” Slender asks.

Mandalore seems to smile a little. “I just thought it would give him more incentive to keep things going.”

Slender shakes her head as the Darkline gets behind the drones. “Now have them wrap around us.” Spike said before the drones moves slowly around them in a box shape before it trudged along and moves to the pirate ships. “Charge up the laser system. Move all other ships away and have them have their shields at max to whichever is pointed to the pirates. Keep them busy and have the drones still fire. I want my EMP cannon firing and hitting a ship, this time, send another EMP cannon laser to us and have it connect to our cannon collection orb.” He said as a large barrel comes out of the top of the Darkline and an orb comes up behind it as it spins freely. “Make sure the ship is behind as soon as it got a connection.” He said as the ship fires its cannon and hits the shield of another ship bigger than most and then moves behind them before firing another laser at the orb and it starts to spin widely. “Have all forward shields at maximum using our own energy. Aim the laser at that cruiser.” He said as the large barrel moves and aims towards the cruiser in the middle of all the ships. “Are we ready?”

“Yes, the silencer is fully charged.” A commander said.

“Fire.”

A large red beam fires out of the cannon and heads toward the ship before breaking through its shield easily and then hits the ship before exploding the area in a blinding explosion. As soon as the light died down, there were a few destroyers, some cruisers, a few dreadnoughts, and some carriers. “Take them.” Spike said as most of the fleet reengaged again.

Mandalore nods. “I thought that thing would come in handy. Never thought he would use the enemy’s shield against them to power the laser.”

“What the heck was that thing?” Slender asks as most of the pirates regrouped.

Mandalore smirks. “Our secret weapon can decimate an entire fleet to scrap. At the cost of losing power to your ship since it requires so much power. Of course, our young Lt. Commander has just found an alternative that can be used in more ways than one.” He said before turning to an assistant that was nearby. “Have the settings sent to the R&D center. Have them make ones that are specific to it and others that can change between regular and the collection ones as well.” He said before turning back to the fight.

“Lt. Commander.” Slender asks.

Mandalore smirks. “He has come far, but he would be proclaimed a junior before he could really earn the title. Until then, let’s see what can survive this fight.”

“Sir! New contact from hyperspace!” A commander called out. They all look and see a larger ship come in out of hyperspace and stops right behind the pirate fleet. “We are reading something that is opening in the back. It contains a lot of energy.” He said as they saw something dark and with wings heading towards the planet.

“Give me visuals from the starfighters.” Spike said and a video comes up and they see the object that looks like a dragon with metal parts covering it’s flesh parts and what looks like energy wings and a long tail whips around behind it and it roars as it flies right past. “Okay, now we are in trouble. How long until the silencer is ready again?”

“Just now, we can use the ship’s energy, but we would be blind for a bit.” A commander said.

Spike sighs and steps back a bit. “Keep the pirates held back and get me a line to the one in charge on the ground.”

A video monitor appeared in front of them. “This is Southern Cross, reporting, what’s the problem?”

“Blitz?” Spike asks, a bit confused.

“Ah Spike, kind of busy right now. Razgriz squadron, they are trying to set up artillery!” Blitz yells.

Spike shakes his head. “No, this is not a courtesy call. We just had something that looks like a dragon fly down toward the planet and boy does it look mean. I’m not planning to get into that though as I still got what looks like a mother ship here. What do you got as planetary defense?”

“Only a shield and one hypervelocity cannon is all we could make, while keeping it hidden.” Blitz says.

Spike nods. “Okay, but I think this thing is too fast. At least the shield will hold up.”

“Um…Cross, something just went through the shield and it has a lot of energy.” A voice said over Blitz’s radio.

Spike facepalms. “Dang it. Well it’s flying so you might be able to take it down a notch.”

Blitz nods. “Gotcha. I’ll see what I can do about it. For now, get that space battle over and done with.”

Spike gives him a thumbs up. “Yes sir.”

Blitz chuckles as he cuts the line. Spike sighs and turns back to the battle. “Alright, let’s deal with this new threat.”

Blitz stares ahead and looks at the skiff in front of him before launching a pair of missiles at it and it explodes in midair. “You okay back there Lightning?”

Lightning shakes herself before looking at the instruments. “I’m fine. How are we doing?”

Blitz looks around for more targets. “Well, we got a space dragon coming our way and at least the town citizens are safe as well. So then, all we have to do is hold the line and keep those guys away from the citizens.”

Lightning leans over. “And the dragon?”

Blitz chuckles nervously. “I haven’t got anything yet.”

Lightning keeps staring at him. “Blitz.” She said accusingly.

Blitz then looks at another skiff flying past. “Oh look, another target, let’s have some music for this one.” He said messing with his computer on the jet for a bit and playing some music. “Hope this will get some mood up and running.” He said as music started up and chased after the skiff.

Lightning shakes her head as she starts to help him with taking it down the skiff before another call comes through. “Cross here, what’s going on?”

“Sir, some of the dropships and skiffs are headed up north. Looks like they are trying to find something.” Ghost Eye said.

Blitz glares a bit. “Dang it. Squad, report in. We are going for a road trip.” He said turning towards that direction as the others catch up with him and then some skiffs follow them.

“Cross, we got company and look like they want to ruin our road trip.” Ribbon said.

Blitz watches the skiffs as it catches up and tries to hit them. “So they want to try that huh? Alright then. Let’s try out the first of the special weapons. Lightning, bring up the ADMM.” Blitz says.

Lightning hits a few things and leans over. “It’s up.” She said as another effect appears on Blitz’s visor.

“Alright, have a taste of this.” Blitz says as several targets were locked onto.

Flaps were opened on the jet above and below it and suddenly, lots of missiles were launched and then headed for the targets before splitting into four more and soon a whole barrage was sent into the skiff who were promptly blown up in a huge cloud of explosions. “Write that down. ADMM works, but needs to work on launching.” Blitz said to which Lightning puts down before going back to helping him.

“Skiffs are down. Five clicks to target.” Cipher said.

“Gryphus 1, we have a reading. More incoming forces inbound to the settlement, Ponyville.” Ghost Eye says.

Blitz glanced at his hoof as it held the stick. “Blitz.” Lightning tries to say. “Blitz.” He hears before sighing. “Squad, pull back to the settlement.” Blitz says pulling back on the stick.

Lightning looks at him. “Are you okay?”

“Fine and I see a large carrier ahead. Bring both the ADMM and the EML to bare, we will take it down in the first pass. Ghost Eye, keep an eye on that dragon. I want to know exactly where it is going.” Blitz instructs.

“Ghost Eye copies, but you have to hurry back. Those forces are closing in faster than normal.” Ghost Eye said.

Blitz frowns. “Squad, pick it up.” He said speeding up with the others following and then finds the town on the outskirts on fire as some skiffs firebomb them. “Take them out!” He said trying to target them all before firing the ADMM and aiming the EML at the carrier before firing them.

The ships and vehicles hit by the ADMM all explode and the carrier actually jumps in midair before being hit by a few ADMM missiles and then gets sent to the ground before it explodes a bit. Blitz stares at it before seeing more ships fly in from above them and tries to attack them with laser strikes. “Break!” Blitz yells and everyone separates and goes their own way.

Blitz tries to follow the skiffs before noticing that it was a bit faster. “Alright then, Lightning, turn off the assistant system.”

Lightning stares at him before flipping a switch and shuts off most of the systems and then quickly brakes and turns so sharp that Lightning was pushed into the side of the cockpit as Blitz was able to quickly target a skiff and fires the EML at it and makes it be torn in half before exploding.

Lightning was marveling at the flying and couldn’t believe it, but she was starting to feel a lot of pressure from the flying and was getting a little air sick. She tries calling out to Blitz, but he doesn’t respond.

Blitz quickly goes up as one skiff follows him before he breaks and turns hard and starts firing the machine gun and then fires the EML and hits it right down the middle and moves the jet off to the side as the skiff starts to fall before exploding in midair and crashes into the ground. “Well, that’s that.” He said to himself. “Lightning, you okay?” He asks, trying to turn his head to her. “Lightning?”

“Blitz?” Lightning tries calling weakly.

Blitz goes wide-eyed before leveling out and slowing down. “Lightning, squeeze your fore and hindlegs, now!”

Lightning did so and felt a lot of pressure leave her. “What happened?”

Blitz sighs in relief. “You had your blood spread to your fore and hindlegs. With the blood away from your brain and heart, you almost passed out. I guess I shouldn’t have flown like that.”

“No, keep flying as you wish. Don’t let me hold you back.” Lightning says as Blitz pulls as maneuver and avoids a few missiles before getting on the starfighters’ rear and shooting it with the machine gun till it tears apart and explodes.

Blitz tries to keep level as he keeps going. “Are you sure?”

“Yes, in this battlefield you can’t afford not to. After all, you’re protecting the lives of not only your mother or wives’ lives, but the lives of your childrens.” Lightning says and Blitz felt like something snapped and like restraints were just removed as he turned back to the front his vision seemed clearer than ever as it began to rain.

Lightning sighs as she looks up and sees the rain pelt the glass and start to be pulled away by the speed and wind. “You’re right, but you’re one of my wives too.” Blitz said.

“And I want to protect our children so show me the reason why you are feared as one of the greatest ace fighter pilots of all time.” Lightning says.

Blitz sighs and nods. “All right. Let’s get this done.” He said before rushing off and heads toward the skiffs still there and Lightning turns the switch back on and he starts to aim with the ADMM. “Screw you.” He said before launching and hitting them, but also hits some of the houses. “I hope they forgive me for that.”

Lightning smiled. “Yeah, they would. It isn’t the first time houses have been demolished.”

Blitz chuckles a bit. “Good, that also means the citizens won’t kill me for it.” He said before quickly turning around and aiming toward the dropship that is slowing down and stopping. He then fires as it starts dropping off pirates before it is hit and explodes in the air and crashes down as some of the pirates run from it. “Not on my watch.” He said to himself as he goes up before coming down and killing them with the machine gun and pelts them with bullets. “Dropship down. How’s your end guys?”

“Ribbon here. Going along well. This will definitely be another sticker on my jet.” He said.

“Scorpion is still stinging everything trying to get me. Haha! Fuck you!” He cheers.

“Cipher racking up that kill count. You ladies better catch up.” He taunts.

Lightning smiled as she hears that and looks over to see them going at the pirates very hard. “Ribbon, I don’t think your fighter is big enough to carry all those stickers. They got the apple fields, we got the town.”

“Burn.” Blitz, Scorpion and Cipher said.

“Oh Ribbon, seems Lightning here gave you a compliment.” Blitz says eyeing a few pirate tanks.

Ribbon was silent for a moment. “Why do you have to rain on my fun?”

Lightning giggles. “The real rain already has that taken care of.” She said, making them all laugh as Blitz flies across the ground and swerves one way before firing the machine gun and swerves the other way and hits all the tanks before they all explode and fly up again.

Blitz chuckles as the laughing dies down. “Ah, I love you Lightning.” He said trying to find more targets, but barely sees any.

“Love you too.” Lightning responds in kind.

“Aw.” The others said.

“Ah, shut up you pansies.” Blitz said flying the plane around in a circle, keeping an eye out and then calling up some numbers. “Switching to a private channel. Girls, you there?”

“Blitz!” They all cheer as they come online.

Blitz smiled to see them all in good shape. “Did you all make it?”

“We are all fine and have been watching the majority of the battle.” Spitfire says.

Blitz grins. “So how’s my flying now?”

Shadow chuckles. “Give it a few more years.”

Blitz gives a hurt look. “Why did you have to do that?”

Shadow giggles. “Cause it’s fun and I want a laugh, see.” She said gesturing to the others who were snickering and giggling.

Blitz sighs. “Hey, where’s the young ones?”

Twilight smiled and brought Arcane into view who laughs at him. Octavia giggles and brings Azure into view who cheers at him. Applejack moves slightly to let Blazer see him. “Hi dad.” He said waving.

Blitz smiled. “Hi son, I’ll be there once this whole thing is over.”

Blazer nods. “Got it dad.”

Blitz looks at the many screens. “Where’s Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo?”

“With Spike on a spaceship.” Rarity growled, surprising everypony.

“Geez Rarity, what got your fancy tail in a twist?” Blitz asks.

Rarity still growls. “Just a little thing that starts with Slender.”

Blitz shakes his head. “Oh boy, I’ll talk to them later, but she wouldn’t do that without a good reason. But, we will all sit down after this and talk it over. I’m sure you will get why she did that. Twilight knows and she doesn’t even know it.”

Twilight looks confused. “Um…what?”

Blitz smiled. “Growth, greed, growth. That can remind you of a few things.”

Twilight then realizes what he was saying. “Oh, that. Yeah, there is another form of growing. They grow also to protect.”

Blitz sighs. “And how are my pregnant mares?”

“I am contemplating snapping off your horn.” Rainbow growls.

Blitz grins. “When you use words like that, I know you’re fine.”

“I want pancakes.” Pinkie says.

Blitz laughs. “Now I know you’re fine. How’s my other mare in there?”

“Wishing we were out there helping and how are you such a good pilot?” Spitfire asks.

Blitz grins. “Lots of training. More than Wonderbolt life.”

Spitfire chuckles a bit before saying. “You will pay for that comment.”

A beeping sound came from his console. “More so than normal. I kinda wasted some fuel getting here. Sorry, but looks like this thing got part of it.” He said moving the jet to the direction of an open field near the apple family’s orchard. “Gryphus 1 here, I have to make an emergency landing. Can you guys take care of the rest?”

“This is Cipher, can lead these guys here for you. Good luck Cross.”

“Roger that.” Blitz says turning off the radio. “Love, engage all terrain landing equipment.”

Lightning salutes a bit slow. “Roger that.” She said flipping a few switches.

“You know, you’re my first co pilot I ever had.” Blitz says leveling them off.

Lightning looks up a little. “Really?”

“Yeah, only others who have ever flown with me were instructors. For the longest time, I never understood why people flew with co pilots. Now, I think I have an idea.” Blitz says.

Lightning smiled. “And what’s that?” She asked as he started to hit the ground and roll.

“Someone to manage part of the systems while the other concentrates on flying.” Blitz says as they start to slow down.

Lightning sighs as she takes off the helmet and the cockpit opens. “So what are you going to do next time?”

“I think you need a little more training before you fly with me as a co pilot again.” Blitz says.

Lightning sighs and gets out before jumping into the ground. “So never?”

“I didn’t say that. So how do you like this vampire of the sky?” Blitz asks.

Lightning giggles. “Needs more sexiness.”

“That is why you’re here.” Blitz jokes.

Lightning nods her head to the jet. “How about some decal, pony style?”

“I think I will change the colors and unfortunately, she might not be able to fly for a while because of lack of fuel.” Blitz says.

Lightning sighs. “Walking time.” She said, starting to walk.

“Lets just watch from here as there aren’t many left.” Blitz says.

Lightning looks at him. “Don’t you want to see Arcane and the rest?”

Blitz chuckles. “We would have to cut through the defences of the bunker first as they won’t open the doors yet.” Blitz offers her a seat.

Lightning sits down. “Blitz?”

“Just enjoy the fact we don’t have to act like there is nothing between us.” Blitz says.

Lightning looks up at him. “Blitz?”

“Yes love?” Blitz asks, leaning into her.

Lightning leans a bit closer and takes off her helmet. “Can you…you know?”

“Not right here, but I will soon.” Blitz says smiling.

Lightning smiled and nuzzled his head. “I love you.”

“I love you too sexy.” Blitz says.

“And I love you too lover.” Vinyl’s voice says from on top of the Nosferatu’s wing.

They both look up and see Vinyl resting on the wing. “Why aren’t you at the bunker?” Blitz asks.

“I never went into it.” Vinyl says jumping onto him.

Blitz chuckles as he wraps a hoof around her and puts it on her cutie mark, stroking it all the while. “So what have you been doing out here then?”

“Watching, now I don’t know about you, but I need to feed.” Vinyl says before biting him.

Blitz yelps before staying like that for a few and then sighs and puts a hoof behind her head and leans back. “Sure, go right ahead.” He said sarcastically as Lightning leans on him.

They stayed like that for fifteen more minutes until Blitz’s communicator started ringing. “Cross here.”

“Blitz, it’s Twilight. Since they are telling us it’s over, we are coming out.” Twilight said.

Blitz sighs in relief. “Okay, just give me a few more minutes. Vinyl here is taking her mid morning snack.”

“I stopped ten minutes ago.” Vinyl says.

Blitz looks at her. “Then why are you eating my emergency snack?”

“Because it is a pretzel covered in cinnamon and sugar.” Vinyl says.

Lightning smirks. “I for one want a burger.”

“And I for one can’t wait to see everypony.” Blitz says getting up.

Vinyl shakes herself as she moves against Blitz as they walk. “Nice stallion.” She said, licking his neck.

“You already drank my blood today.” Blitz says.

Vinyl giggles deviously. “Still the foal needs some.”

“I know you haven’t taught him to go around biting random ponies right?” Blitz asks.

Vinyl raises a hoof to her heart. “Scout’s honor.”

“You are not a scout. Where’s your baseball cap and bat and why haven’t you smacked heavy with it yet?” Blitz asks.

Vinyl laughs as she leans against again. “I love ya you stallion.”

“I know. I’m awesome.” Blitz jokes.

Lightning bumps against him. “Rainbow has that title.”

“And I stole it along with her hoof in marriage.” Blitz jokes.

Now they both bump against him as they enter town. “Shut up.” They both said.

Blitz chuckles as he grabs them both and hugs them tight. “I love you both.” He said, giving them a kiss on the cheek.

“Oh we want more than that, don’t we Lightning?” Vinyl asks.

Lightning nods as she grins. “Oh yeah.”

Blitz sighs. “Later. It’s been a long day and I need some rest.”

“Oh don’t worry, we will give you al…” Vinyl was cut off by Blitz’s hoof covering her mouth.

Blitz points over to Twilight, Octavia and Applejack with the foals and Blazer on their back. “Later.” Blitz says before walking over to them.

Twilight smiles as she stops in front of them. “Hey Blitz, say hello to your new son.” She said taking Arcane off her back and giving him to Blitz.

“Hey there Arcane. I’m your father.” Blitz says smiling as he holds him.

Arcane coos gently and reaches out for him as he laughs. Blitz smiles as he brings him closer to him. Arcane giggles as he hugs Blitz and nuzzles him.

“Aw.” Most of the mares said, but one cleared her throat.

Blitz turns his head to see Rainbow. “Rainbow, my love.” Blitz said in a cheery sort of way.

Rainbow glares at him. “You bucking idiot.”

“Oh no.” Blitz says, starting to charge his magic for a spell.

Rainbow walks over to him before hugging him tight. “You idiot.”

“Starting to sound like Pinkamena love.” Blitz says placing Arcane on her back and hugs her back.

Rainbow nuzzles him. “Love ya.”

“I love you too and nice to see you too Pinkamena and that knife won’t penetrate my armor.” Blitz says.

Pinkamena looks to the knife before placing it in her mane. “You’re a bucking idiot.”

“See Rainbow, that’s her thing.” Blitz says.

Rainbow keeps nuzzling him. “And you’re still my idiot.”

“I say that as well.” Pinkamena says dryly.

Applejack chuckles as she walks up. “You wouldn’t believe what Blazer here did when they put a spike into the castle.”

“Actually I can and know, I installed hidden cameras in the castle.” Blitz says before giving her the smile.

Twilight hits his side. “Blitz, invasion of privacy.”

“I call it security.” Blitz says.

Twilight sighs. “So you worried about his training now?”

“We have a few more issues before we start and speaking of which, where is Celestia?” Blitz asks, bringing out a shotgun and smiles.

They all look at him before pointing. “Town center.” They said.

“Excuse me. I have to go give Celestia a live demonstration of this to her face.” Blitz says running off.

They watch him as he rushes over there. “Should we stop him?” Octavia asks.

“Yes.” Applejack says before lassoing him.

“Hey!” Blitz yelled out as he was dragged back and then lassoed up before being carried.

“Let’s go.” Applejack said walking to the town’s center.

Blitz looks at them. “You’re going to let me see her?”

Applejack nods. “You won’t rest until then.”

“Pinkamena, help me decide which way to kill Celestia horribly. I already have forty seven ideas.” Blitz says.

Pinkamena chuckles evilly. “Well there’s…cupcakes!” Pinkie cheers.

“We aren’t eating her and it’s too good for her.” Blitz says.

Pinkie looks confused. “No, I mean these.” She said taking a box of cupcakes out of her mane and showing it said ‘You’re a dumbo.’ written on them.

“I was thinking more of her screaming in agony from pain.” Blitz as Applejack still drags him along.

Pinkie giggles. “Silly, the best to make them hurt is by going away.” She said before hugging herself. “Being alone, is the worst thing you can feel.”

“Pinkie, right here, being dragged away.” Blitz reminds.

Pinkie smiled. “I meant her.” She said as they approached the town square and saw a crowd of ponies being ushered and quieted by the guards and Celestia. “Luna already caused her pain.”

“Applejack, undo the lasso so I don’t have to cut it to pieces.” Blitz says fully serious as he brings his helmet onto his head. Applejack sighs as she undos it and let’s him walk up. “Celestia!” Blitz yelled as he marched right up to her. A solar guard tries to stop him, but Blitz punches him right in the face and an audible crack is heard, causing all to wince. “You got some explaining to do about banishing my son!”

Celestia tires to stand firm. “He is not supposed to be alive.”

“And are you to decide that? Who are you to say my son is not worth life because his mere existence threatens your superiority? Who made you god?” Blitz asks.

Celestia glares at him. “He’s male and what he is makes him a threat.”

“Very well Celestia. You want it that way, it means war and I will give no quarter to protect my son and I will kill you.” Blitz says unsheathing his claws as his intent to kill was starting to be felt.

Celestia’s horn flared up. “Fine.” She said before shooting a spell beam at him.

“Dad!” Blazer yells as he gets in front of him and blocks the spell with the black sword and absorbs the power before she stops and the sword glows bright yellow. “You’re crazy.” Blazer said to him.

“Two things you forget about Celestia.” Blitz as if spitting her name out of his mouth as if it was poison.

Celestia huffs as Arcane starts to crawl to him. “And what is that?”

“First, I am a mandalorian, you pick a fight with one of us, you pick a fight with all of us and second.” Blitz stops as Celestia falls as she is being choked by a great force. “I’m not squeamish from my time in the flames of war and will literally crush you.” Blitz says using telekinesis as he then smashes her against the statue of herself in the center of town.

“Da…” A voice said below him and he looks to see Arcane leaning against his leg and looks up to him, reaching for him.

Blitz uses his magic to bring her at his hooves before glaring down at her. “Know you have made your last mistake Celestia. Your rule is at an end. The only reason I give you your life this time is because I owed you. That debt is paid now.” Blitz says before picking up Arcane and walking away with him.

Celestia just stared at them as they all walked away and the citizens started to talk amongst themselves.

“Celestia tried to banish a foal for being born.” One mutters.

“Now that’s just horrendous.” Another said.

“Wait…look at the foal he’s carrying.” Another said pointing at Blitz and Arcane.

“An alicorn, but I thought that all were female.”

“Looks like the old rule is broken.” Another said as they watch them walk away before Blitz stops and whispers something to Blazer who nods and takes out the sword before swinging it into the air and sends the energy away.

“Twilight, it seems what we discussed has come to past.” Blitz says.

Twilight snorts. “That’s why I told her to shut the buck up. Nopony talks to my family like that.”

“Minerva, send word to all our forces. Celestia has declared war on us over my son being born. We will destroy her and the next in line to the throne will claim it.” Blitz says.

“Belay that.” Twilight said before turning to him. “It’s already done.” She said before looking back and they see the citizens start to walk away, still talking. “No point in going to war when she has a civil one by talking.”

“We only have those of Ponyville on our side. She will lie and manipulate the rest of the country to try and turn them against us. Just like she had her solar guards kidnap and torture ponies.” Blitz says.

Twilight stops and turns to him. “Then do it where we are not fighting, but by talking. Words can travel fast if you do the right things before they could.”

“True, but there is one thing you are forgetting.” Blitz says as a solar guard jumps out of the shadows with a spear in hoof. “Die abomination!” The guard yells before he finds himself trapped in Blitz’s telekinesis. “Everypony, if you see a foal, cover their eyes.” Blitz orders.

The mothers in the crowd covered all the foals’ eyes and Arcane, Blazer and Azure were covered too. Seeing this, he kept applying more and more pressure to the telekinesis over the guard’s entire body. The guard screamed before they couldn’t hear anything as another bubble appeared around him and they just saw a silent scream before blood started to pour from his mouth before his blood shot everywhere and what was now a corpse floated there.

Blitz gives a huff before dropping the now dead body into the bush and covers it up. He then turns back to Celestia. “Now, cover their ears.” He said to which the foals now had their ears covered. “Hey Celestia!” He yelled which made her look in his direction. “Fucking buck you, you loser of a princess who also lost her only sister!”

Celestia could only stand still as he huffs before turning back again and takes off his helmet and laughs as he holds up Arcane and nuzzles his head who giggles from the sensations.

“Send everything you have at us Celestia. I will return all that’s left in a match box.” Blitz says, his eyes now boring into Celestia.

Celestia actually takes a step back and that makes everypony talk about it before they take one last look at her and either went home or went back to their day.

Blitz sighs as he looks at Twilight. “We’re going to need more security and more places to sleep now.”

Twilight nods as they came to the castle and finds Luna and Trixie standing at the doorway with Luna looking at Blitz.

“Also, I will need to send some of the clan to go and route out all the remaining solar guards.” Blitz says.

Luna raises an eyebrow. “So…she finally did it.” She stated.

“Yes, so will you be taking the throne or will Twilight?” Blitz asks.

Luna sighs. “I may have to. They will lose trust in her eventually and Twilight is not yet ready. After all, you still are queen.” She said, winking to Twilight.

“That will be your title once Celestia is officially deposed as you will be the sole ruler.” Blitz reminds.

Liam giggles. “Not really, see, Twilight is in fact holding some part, so we are still princesses.”

Twilight sighs. “It’s true. Celestia was planning on that.”

“And you are now a queen. I think that destroys her plans.” Blitz says.

Twilight smiles as she sees some changelings. “Only changelings.”

“The fact still stands, you can’t be a princess and a queen.” Blitz says as Azure and Arcane started playing on him.

Twilight shrugs. “We’ll out something when that huddle comes. For now, I think our young ones want to play with their dad for a bit.” She said, smiling as she sees them playing with his mane.

“Indeed, also, we will be expecting guests soon. The other seven who flew with me are old friends.” Blitz says.

Luna squeaks a little. “Oh boy, I can’t wait to meet off world flyers. I wonder what they will be like?”

“Just so you know, one is married to another and there is only one female.” Blitz says walking into the crystal castle and starts at the spike lodged into the room through the wall.

Twilight chuckles nervously. “Yeah, we are still working on that.” She said as changelings try to get it out. “Which reminds me, what was that screech for?” She asks, knocking her head.

‘That was a call to all changelings to protect the queen and hive and all who are deemed friends to be kept safe. It was never used in all our lives except for one time and that was the time it was made.’ Chrysalis said.

“Rarity, do you mind putting that on the list of improvements to the castle you have been making?” Blitz asks.

Rarity smiled. “Well, this is a time to redecorate.” She said looking around.

“Please put it at the top so we don’t have to redo any of it?” Blitz asks as Arcane was having a hard time trying to braid his hair as it was very short.

Arcane whines as he finally puts the hair down before moving to his head and doing those or rather trying.

Blitz chuckles as he grabs Arcane. “You’re still cute and trying to braid, really?”

Trixie giggles as she walks up to him and shows her mane. “He can really do a good job. He will be the sight of many mares.”

“He already has the sight of one unfortunately.” Blitz says turning to her. “I’m sorry, I don’t think we have been introduced.” Blitz says.

Trixie smiled. “The name is Trixie or The Great and Powerful Trixie!” She yelled as fireworks came out from behind her.

“Apple Blitzkrieg or more commonly known as Southern Cross.” Blitz says.

Trixie nods. “Pleasure.”

“Ah, surprising, usually most ponies have a different reaction.” Blitz says.

Trixie giggles nervously. “I can’t afford the newspaper that much.”

“Ah, I see. So Twi tells you everything including how she and the rest of the girls got me to marry them and how before she knew I was Southern Cross, she had a borderline obsession with me?” Blitz asks.

Trixie looks surprised at Twilight. “You had an obsession?”

“An entire wall dedicated to newspaper articles, pictures and rumors of me.” Blitz says smirking.

Twilight blushes. “Shut up.”

“Now Twilight, look at Arcane, can you say no to him.” Blitz says showing her Arcane with a puppy dog face on.

Twilight tries to look away, but groans. “Dang you Blitz. Dang you.” She said playfully, shaking a hoof at him.

Blitz chuckles. “Now Rainbow, Pinkie, why don’t you come join us?” Blitz asks.

Both mares move up beside him. “Idiot.” They both said.

“Oh look Arcane, messed up hair.” Blitz barely contains his laughter.

Arcane cheers before jumping onto Pinkamena and braiding her mane. “What is he doing?” She asks looking back at him.

“Seems he has picked up braiding hair.” Blitz says as Rainbow started to sweat.

Blitz picks him up as he finished the first bit before placing him on Rainbow. “Here you go boy. Braid away.” He said before chuckling as Arcane starts to braid Rainbow’s mane and she started to shake as she tried to stand still.

“So Pinkie, tell me how long till you and Rainbow go into labor?” Blitz asks.

Pinkie comes back and hugs him. “I don’t know. This is even beyond my scope of expertise.” She said letting him go and placing some glasses on.

“Pinkie, look, cotton candy. You get it if you tell me.” Blitz says levitating the cotton candy just out of her reach.

Pinkie starts salivating before shaking herself and huffs and turns around and crosses her forelegs. “I won’t take it if it is not raining chocolate milk.”

“Oh, oh, what is this? Am I pouring chocolate on top of it now?” Blitz asks.

Pinkie shakes before pouncing on him and slurps it all up. “We’re going into labor now.”

“What?” Blitz asks, a little shell shocked.

Pinkie points to Rainbow who stops and looks under herself before fainting and Arcane cries out and tries to push her up. “See.” Pinkie said as Blitz felt some liquid from her before she fainted as well on top of him.

“Twi.” Blitz says.

“Already on it.” Twilight says as some changelings pick up the mares.

Blitz shakes himself after he gets up. “Ready for two more?”

Twilight smiled as they were taken to the infirmary. “Always. They are family.”

Blitz nods as they follow them and so does everypony else.
