Chapter Ten: Knowing When To Let Loose
-Story Start-

It must have only been a minute that I was out as I could feel Nightmare heading towards the castle. I looked at my Health, Ki and Chakra. They had all reached max while I was out, that's good. My Regen probably just saved my ass. I then started to power up, reaching Super Saiyan quickly. I needed to get to the castle soon, the girls can't beat her at that level. 'Just hang on, I'll be there soon!'

Pov: Twilight
I had been trying to figure out how the elements worked for a full minute now and was still no where close to doing so. Nothing I tried even slightly affected the ancient artifacts. Then, as I turned to one of the girls that came with me, the castle shook. After the small quake passed a purple mist blasted past me and to the the elements. Nightmare had arrived, and Hikari did not. 'Hikari, where are you, did she... kill you?' I wondered, 'please be ok.'

"It seems that even with all that time the foil bought you, you still haven't activated the Elements of Harmony. What a shame, the creature died for nothing." She said with a laugh. The girls behind me gasped at Nightmare's claim, Fluttershy already getting tears in her eyes. I just glared at Nightmare, knowing that Hikari was alive somehow. Nightmare noticed this and began to laugh harder, "Do you really believe that it is still alive? Such a pity that you deny reality."

Then a voice yelled out from the door to the room. "I reject your reality and substitute it with my own." Everyone turned to see Hikari in his Super Saiyan form, ready for another round with Nightmare.

"You dare challenge me again, Foal. I thought you dead, you could have just scurried off and hid away from my sight. Why not take that chance?" Nightmare asked Hikari forcefully.

"Because, Nightmare, I care for these ponies. I will not allow you to kill them."

"Kill them? I just want to rule in everlasting night. I have no plans to kill the ones I want to rule."

"You... You do know that without the sun plants won't grow. Without plants, ponies have no food, and other herbivores for that matter. Also, without the sun there is no heat, the world will freeze over. What's your plan for all if that?"

'Did… did Hikari just talk down to Nightmare like a parent would a child?' I thought.

"I... I will deal with that later. For now, you are in my way!" Nightmare yelled. "Leave now or suffer the fate you should've from our last fight!"

Hikari just stood there for a moment. "So you’re just gonna procrastinate the problem and hope it fixes itself? *Sigh* Fine then, I'll fight you again. In the meantime, figure out the elements Twilight. I'll give you a hint, friendship is magic." '... What does he mean by that?' I wondered. The Hikari turned to Nightmare and crouched down, "Max Power" suddenly three key shaped weapon, two in hand and one it his mouth, gained green face paint, and had a green cloak of energy around him. His eyes changed and looked purple and rings spaced out from each other with tomoe in three of the rings. Then he charged forward, grabbing Nightmare by the neck, and busted out of the castle through a wall.

We all just stood there for a second before I recovered and started thinking on what I am supposed to do with that hint. Friendship us magic... Friends... The girls? I mean, Pinkie Pie could be laughter, Fluttershy definitely Kindness. Rarity would be Generosity, Rainbow is Loyalty. Applejack would be Honesty, but what about the last element. Wait, 'is magic' the finale element is magic! That means I represent magic...

"Girls, I've figured out Hikari's hint.”

I only activated my Max Power mode for a second in order to get Nightmare away from the girls, but I felt that drain on my reserves and stamina. I won't be able to hold her off for long. It shouldn't take Twilight more than ten seconds to figure it out, therefore I'm just gonna use Max Power mode this entire time to hold her down here.

"What is this power!? Why didn't you use this before?" Nightmare yelled. I did not answer, that pissed her off and she charged at me. Using only a little of my current power I knocked her back, then I used my Rietsu to do the Spiritual Pressure thing. That forced her to her knees as she tried her hardest to not submit, I just decided to hold her here for the next of my twenty second time limit.

The girls had already discovered themselves and are ready to fire what I happily refer to as the Friendship Cannon of Megadeath. So I let up on my power and reverted to just Super Saiyan before quickly flying back to the castle. Nightmare was immediately in pursuit, and very pissed.

I flew through the hole I had made and landed on the pedestal, turned, and waited for Nightmare. The girls all had the necklaces and the crown, and seemed to understand I was leading her back. They all took a ready stance and started charging up the elements.

Nightmare burst through the hole at max speed towards me, already preparing her left hand for a punch that would have probably really hurt. The girls were ready to fire, I dodge the horribly telegraphed punch before kicking the back of her left knee. This would only down her for a few seconds, but that's all it took as I jumped out of the way and then the Elements of Harmony were fired.

Nightmare's face went through several emotions before the Rainbow Friendship Cannon of Megadeath hit her, Rage, Realization, Shock, and then Horror as the attack hit her. Instead of it wrapping around her like in the show, it acted kinda like a Kamehameha or other Ki based beam attack. It blasted into and passed her as what looked like black muk slipped of her form and burned up, leaving a smaller version of our precious luner princess, Luna. As it ended Luna and fell forward and I raced up and caught her, the others had landed already on the ground. I laid her down gently and sat next to her as I waited for Tia to get there.

I didn't have to wait long though as right when I got comfortable, Tia appeared in a flash using Light Magic Greater Teleportation. The only reason I knew the spell name is because I apparently forgot to turn off my Rinne-Sharingan, and I accidentally copied it. Anyways, Tia walked up to me and the just waiting Luna, nodding to me as she went towards her.

"Luna, my dear sister, I have missed you. Please, accept my friendship, come back with me." Celestia said with a kind smile on her face. I knew her though, she was pretty much begging her sister to come back to her. She was nervous and just barely keeping herself in check.

Luna looked up at Tia, and tears started to gather in her eyes. She lunged forward, engulfing Tia in a hug and asking for forgiveness over and over again. Nothing Tia did stopped her incessant need to say "I'm sorry!" at least every three seconds. This continued for a full two minutes before Luna became less hysteric. It seemed that Luna has taken all the blame for the appearance of Nightmare Moon on herself, I'll have to fix that soon.

We were all teleported back to Ponyville and a party was set up by Pinkie in record time, I on the other hand had went up to Luna. "You know, the hole Eternal Night thing wasn't you ya know?" I said. She looked up to me in surprise, I continued, "While it was your Jealousy that took over, it was not entirely just that. You see, anything born of negativity actively seeks out any way to gain power. Your Jealousy provided the perfect way for something to take control. That means that you were not even indirectly in control, you have nothing to be sorry for doing as you did not do it." I explained to her. Luna looked up at me wide eyes, before launching at me and knocking us both to the ground with a hug.

She looked to my face, and spoke. "Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot to me. To know that there were other forces at work eases my mind of this whole situation."

"Good, now go catch up with your sister, you two have much to discuss." When I said that she nodded and went off towards her sister.

As she left Twilight and the others came up to me and started asking questions all at once, except Fluttershy, she just came up and hugged me. She was apparently really scared when Nightmare said I was dead, and wanted to make sure I was really there. After her hug I told then I would answer all of their questions later and to for now, just enjoy Pinkie's party. They all agreed and backed off, but Fluttershy stayed.

"T-thank you f-for helping us, i-if you didn't s-show up t-then, then..." She stopped before continuing, "I just... thank you Dark Li- I-I mean Hikari," she finished. Then she ran off... She is one of the most adorable things I have ever seen.

It was a little late when the party ended, so Twilight and our friends decided to ask me their questions tomorrow. That gave time to prepare my answers. I was going to tell then the truth about me, but I want the answers to be clear. Twilight's will most likely be about my transformations, while the rest of the girls will want an explanation.

I'll probably answer the girls questions on why I hid my real looks from them for so long first, before answering Twilight. I am fairly sure I'll have to explain exactly what I am, so that means explaining the Game. At least this means I will be able to invite then into my Party, that will help when I start training the main six. Though I'll have to answer to Tia on why I kept my story of how I came to be in this world a secret, which will probably need to be a very good explanation.

For now though, it's time to go to sleep, I'll answer all of their questions tomorrow. Hopefully the girls understand my reasoning for all my secrets, if not, then I will have to find a way to appease them. Please let them just except my reasons Yami.
