Chapter Nine: Summer Sun Celebr- Oh, Hi Nightmare
-Story Start-

In the wise words of the internet from back home, oof. Alright that hurt, how the hell did Twilight even hurt me? I am literally over two hundred times her power level, yet her tackle hugs knock my breath away.

"Hikari, I missed you!" She was still hugging me…. Why is she still hugging me?

"Remember Twilight, I'm Dark Light right now. Gotta call me that in public, alright?" I inform her. "Also, I just saw you five days ago, stop being over dramatic."

"B-but I missed you, even if for a week!" Great, now she was giving me that look.

"Fine, fine, we can hang out-"

"Yay!"

"-while you finish your summer sun checklist."

"Ugh, fiiiiine. But we have to go do something fun afterwards and then prepare for Nightmare Moon." Ever since I told her I believed her on that past week, she's been less worried about it. Most likely because she thinks I can handle her if she shows up, which I probably can't.

"Yes, we will prepare for the eternal night thing she probably has planned. Anyways, on to the first thing on the checklist. Spike?" I always liked the little guy, Imma help him grow up later.

"Somepony named Applejack, at a place called Sweet Apple Acres." Spike replied.

"Ah, Applejacks in charge of it? It'll be fine then, might as well visit her though." And so, our party of three traveled to Applejack's orchard, unaware of the danger that followed them. Well, Twilight and Spike were unaware, I already knew Pinkie was following them. She is probably waiting to try and surprise me and Twilight at the same time, first time this week she's tried, must be planning something... I'll have to watch out for her. We soon got to Applejack's and everything went according to cannon, well, other than Twilight being more accepting of friendship. Then we went to find Dash. Except this time, I changed timeline a little by catching Dash before she slammed into Twilight.

"Yo Dark. Thanks for the catch. I would offer a race but I'm working on my moves." She said.

"That's fine, just make sure you clear the sky first. I am escorting my friend here around town, she was sent by Celestia to check preparations." I informed Dash while giving Twilight a one armed hug.

"Yeah, yeah, I got it. See ya around Dark!" With that she flew off and cleared the sky before continuing to practice. "Alright let's get moving, I believe next is Rarity. Oh, and Spike?"

"Yeah man?" He asked

"Don't try anything with her, she already likes somepony."

"Why would I try anything with her?"

"That's what you said before your crush on Fleeting Heart. Seriously man, don't fall for her."

"Oh, hehe. Ok man, I'll take your advice on this."

... He's not taking my advice at all. Guess you can't change Spike’s love interests, he's just too stubborn. I'll just have to tell Rarity to let him down easy but clearly so he understands. We were already close to the Town Hall where Rarity was decorating. We entered the building to see Rarity deciding between a red and a blue ribbon.

"Gorgeous" Damn, already infatuated with her. Such a weak willed dragon, can't even resist a ponies beauty.

It basically went as the plot intended other than the passing greeting to me. Once Twilight had escaped Rarity's boutique, we started towards Fluttershy's house on the edge.

"Twilight, no loud noises. This pony I very shy and is an animal caretaker, if you make too loud of a sound you'll both scare her and her animals. Ok?" I told both her and Spike. I had to interfere with how this meeting went, never liked it.

"Ok Hika- I mean, Dark. I'll try to be quiet with my check." She responded. Then we continued on the path towards Fluttershy's house. It was only a few minutes later that we came upon Fluttershy teaching a flock of birds a song to sing during the celebration.

Instead of calling out loudly, Twilight silently asked me to greet her. She was probably banking on Fluttershy responding better to me than her, which she wasn't wrong. I went forward a little and softly called out to her, she immediately stopped to greet me as well. Then she noticed my company and seemed to shrink a little.

"Fluttershy, this is Twilight, a friend of mine sent by Celestia to check on the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration." I softly explained. She still seemed a little scared of Twilight, I don't know why though. "Oh, and her assistant, Spike." Spike jumped off Twilight's back when I said his name.

"A baby dragon! I've never seen one before!" Fluttershy yelled as she quickly flew up to Spike. I just stood there, flabbergasted. Yelling and Fluttershy are two things that should not be in the same sentence, it's against nature.

"Well well well, look who's finally getting some attention." Spike said.

"He can talk!?" Damn, she can really yell when she's interested in something. I'll keep that in mind. The rest of the meeting between them went as it did in cannon, other than me walking beside them. Hopefully this means that mean that the cannon can't be changed or something. Like the whole solution to the grandparent paradox thing, time just works around your interference.

We eventually got back to the Library, however, due to my interference, Twilight is more open to social interactions right now. This means that Twilight enjoys the party a little... Until she drinks a cup of hot sauce. Then she hides up in her room, I simply enjoy the party for a bit more. I eventually convinced them to go home and rest for the celebration tomorrow, then I head up to Twilight.

"Don't worry Twilight, everything will turn out fine. I'm the one who should be worried here." I tell her as she is in the middle of ranting to herself.

"What, why should you be worried?" She asked me.

"I will most likely be forced to reveal my true self, and I have no idea how my friends here will react to such a big lie. I have literally hidden my race, real name, and power from them." I said sadly. It was true though, I have hidden the biggest part of my life from them. Although, even Twilight doesn't know the Alicorn part yet.

"I'm sure they will understand the need to hide yourself, Hikari. They will forgive you very quickly." Twilight said as she gave me a comforting hug. She was always fairly affectionate, always wanting to help.

"I guess so, I hope they see the need for this disguise. I also hope they know that my personality wasn't fake." I told her. We made small conversation until she eventually got tired and went to sleep. I went downstairs and sat in the library, I needed to plan this out.

It was now the day of the Summer Sun Celebration and the day I get my first real challenge. I am not sure how long it is until the reveal, we are all just standing here waiting for Celestia to come and raise the sun. That didn’t last long, however, as the mayor approached the podium and announced Celestia's arrival. The curtains are pulled, but there is no one there. That is, until a purplish miasma appears and forms into a new Alicorn. Nightmare Moon.

Twilight and the others have their discussion and small banter with Nightmare, then right before she leave I shout, "Hold it!" Nightmare stops and looks over to see me floating at her level a little ways across the room.

"You dare speak to me, Mortal?" She asks me.

I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "Who said I am a mortal?' I ask, before dropping my transformation. I hear gasps all around the room as I reveal my true form. "I am what is known as a Saiyan, a warrior race that traveled through space looking for the most challenging fights. My name is Hikari, and I am a mix of four different races. Saiyan, Human, Arcosian, and Namekian, a mix of the most powerful races in the universe." Everyone was captivated by my story, except for five mares. "I came here over three years ago, forced here by an unknown entity. When I got here I was met by Celestia, who offered me a home, a life. You, have taken the pony who gave me a purpose. And now? I am going to make you pay." I spoke this speech with passion, for it was a lie filled with truths. Celestia did give me a purpose, she did make my life here better. Due to how I was feeling as I spoke, the last part came out as a snarl. I then continued my speech. "Unfortunately, I cannot beat you. But I don't have to, I just have to stall you long enough. Then I can get Celestia's sister back, Luna."

As the last part of my speech was said, Nightmare snarled a bit before speaking. "I will not be defeated by some runt who thinks himself immortal like me. Prepare to die scum." She began to power up. She was at max in almost a second. I immediately used observe on her.

Shit, she is stronger than expected. At that level I might not be able to hold her off for long. Thankfully, the girls have already left and are probably on their way to the Everfree by now.

I decided to make this more dramatic for the ponies here, and started to transform. Yelling out as I slowly pushed past the weak barrier into Super Saiyan, lightning striking around me. I finally screamed to the heavens as my power skyrocketed and my hair turned golden, spiking up into what teen Gohan's Super Saiyan form looked like. I was now at a level close to Nightmare's, but not close enough to make this fight any easier.

Nightmare seemed to just stare at me in surprise, she must have thought that no one but her and Celestia could ever come close to this level of power. She seemed to think for a bit before she took to the sky and came a little closer to me.

"You surprised me with your level of sheer power, nowhere near my own, but still promising. I could use someone with your level of power and skills. Why not join me and help me rule this world, it would be glorious. You could have all the food, drink, and mares that you could ever dream of." This surprised me, an offer from Nightmare. Of course I would never take it, but to think she would offer me a deal just for being powerful.

"I'm afraid I'm going to have to say no to that offer. You see, I already have everything I could ever want. A home, a life, and friendship. I don't need anything else, it wouldn't do me any good. Also, I'm not sexually attracted to your species. I might be later, due to there not being other humans or Saiyan's here. But for right now, no. So why don't we just start fighting?" I told her. she seemed to get very angry at my refusal.

"You dare refuse an offer from me!? I am the ruler of this land now, and no ones disobeys me!" She yelled out. I found this quite funny and decided to piss her off more, even of it later turns out to be a mistake.

"Well excuuuuuuuuuuse me, princess! I'm sorry to say, but I am not listening to a bitch like you." She just floated there for a bit, "What, you afraid? Come at me bi-" and now I was no longer in the building… and there was a hole in the wall. She must have taken offense to my remark. How would anyone ever take offense to what I just said?

“Well, I guess we're doing this now!” I yell as I throw a ki blast at her. She dodged it easily and shot at me like a bullet. I hope Twilight and the girls get there soon.

Twilight really did not like the mares that had decided to come with her right now. Yes, they were right that it was wrong Hikari hid his true form from them. No, what was making her angry is they were questioning his friendship with them. They thought he might have been pretending to be their friend. The only one not doing this was Fluttershy, but she wasn't defending him either. The last straw was when Applejack questioned his overall character as a… whatever he was.

“Enough! Hikari wasn't in the right to hide his true nature from you all, I'll agree with that. I will tell you this however, he told me he planned to reveal his true self today and was scared of your reaction to his true race… races. Anyways, he told me that while he did hide his true looks, he never faked his personality nor his friendship. The idea that you would question his character is appalling to me, as I have known him for a long time now.” Twilight told them, “and Celestia has known him longer than I have.” The others thought over what had been said by both them and Twilight before coming to a decision.

“You're right Twilight. He may have hid his looks, but we all know he didn't hide his feelings.” It was Rarity that said this. Twilight accepted the answer and they began walking again, they were only a minute away from the castle at most now.

“Please hold her off just a little longer Hikari. We're almost there.” Twilight said to herself.

This is going very badly. I just can't get a hit on her and I’ve only clipped her with a few attacks. She seemed almost unbeatable, her health bar had barely moved from the Super Kamehameha that just clipped her side.

I could start using some other transformations, like Limit or something. Doing that will drain my stamina faster though, and I need to last as long as possible. I took a look at my own Health.

I won't last that long, they better get to the castle soon. I also need to start leading her towards it. Need to be there when they get there, oh nevermind. I'm not gonna do that. She's charging up some kind of blast, I am going to have to meet it head on. If I'm going to fight that beam, I'ma have to use my own strongest beam.

“Hrraaaaaaaaa! I will not lose here! Big Bang!” I start to funnel all the Ki I have left into a shell of Ki made for this attack.

“Your right, you won't lose here... You'll die here! Moon's Grace!” A purple wave fired from her hands instead of her horn, it seems to be sparkling with the Stars of the night sky as it barrels towards me.

“Kamehameha!” I let loose my own attack of blue and white. They collide and a power strut is made, both of us pushing against the other. Unfortunately, even after pouring all my Ki into this attack, I am still much weaker than Nightmare. Her beam over powers mine and slams into me, exploding. I hit the ground in Ponyville Central, and dark engulfs my vision. The last thing I can see is my Health Bar
