A Thief's Escapade in Equestria
Waking up
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe pain was unbearable. It felt as if a giant 500 kg weight just dropped from a height and it somehow landed on me, crushing my torso into pieces. My body felt like butter afterwards and I literally couldn’t do anything but think.
I was dumbstruck and confused.
Did that bitch just 1 hit KO me?
Everything was pitch black. No noises could be heard and nothing could be felt. It was as if I was sleeping while floating. Though I found it pleasing. It was peaceful and nothing much to worry about.
……
…………..
Wait what am I thinking? I just died didn’t I! That fucking horse girl just fisted me right in the fucking ribs!
I flailed around the black vacuum in attempt to find some sort of ground to stand on. Suddenly, a ray of light pierced through the black walls. More rays cracked through the black barrier that surrounded me and I was brought back to what seemed to be reality.
My eyes opened to a ray of light that peered through the curtain blinds. I groaned as I moved an inch up to move away from the blinding light. I tried to get up after a few more minutes of thinking, but strings of lube that was stuck on my arms restricted me from moving.
“What the hell…...?” I said to myself.
I slowly opened my eyes and it scanned the room carefully. I was in what looked to be a hospital. A tiny tube (don’t know what they’re called…) connected my arms to a hear rate monitor that read 72 beats per minute.
My heart raced as a sudden realization hit me.
Everything wasn’t a dream….
The bpm rose to 95 bpm and slowly lowered back down to 72 as I tried to breathe normally and assess my situation the way I usually do.
I mean, I did say that I was going to focus on what’s ahead of me……. Didn’t I?
I wore a white robe that I see most patients usually wear on cases like these. It covered my entire body and the only thing that could be seen wide was my chest. Though, the only thing that concerned me was that it was held by one tie. A breeze ran through my legs and into the bottom of my robe. My little dong felt it which meant that my underwear wasn’t there. I didn’t complain, it is necessary to have patients rushed to emergency rooms for operations and the time to remove the clothing takes way too long.
I looked ahead of me and saw my belongings. My knives and phone were placed on a desk along with my clothes. They looked washed and fixed. I’m guessing that girl now realizes that she almost killed me, which should make her rethink her decision for calling me a killer.
It was stupid for me to even think about her since people like her don’t usually feel a sense of guilt for hurting someone else. But, a question did linger in my head.
Who brought me here?
I then remembered the last person who shouted to me when I fell unconscious. Pipsqueak….
Man, it’s the first time to have someone care for me so much after just a few hours of meeting. He really looked like me when I was small…
My thoughts were disturbed by a knock coming from the door of the room.
“Come in!” I shouted loud enough for him/her to enter.
A girl in a nursery outfit came in with a clipboard in one hand and a pen in the other. Well…. A pony. This confirms that I’m still not dreaming. But damn! That’s one hot body to look at!
“You’re finally awake, Mr. Shad.” She spoke.
“I guess I am.” I replied back with a smirk.
She wrote on her clipboard. I’m guessing it is to record whether I have some sort of amnesia.
“Tell me Mr. Shad, do you remember any past memory before the attack incident?” She asked.
Yup.
“Ok, hold on there, lady.” I gave her a stop gesture.
She looked at me with a raised brow.
“First, I would like to know who you are. Second, I would like to know how I got here. Thir-“
“Please refrain from asking questions for now Mr. Shad. We are here to record your database for the doctors in this hospital to evaluate.” She said with a straight look.
This bitch….
“That doesn’t mean I can’t get to ask a question or two, right?” I raised a brow of my own.
“You may have your chances with the doctor later.”
I sighed, “Fine, ask away.”
“Again, do you remember anything at all before the incident of the attack?” She asked.
“Well, yes. A girl in a western hat punched me in the ribs. I don’t know what kind of steroids she’s in but I’m pretty sure she broke a rib or two. I then heard a child’s voice call me out but that was when I fell unconscious.” I honestly answered.
“Hmmm…. Where are you from Mr. Shad?”
I looked at the floor. I wanted to get out of here as fast as I could so I could try find a way to get back home.
I sighed again and answered honestly, “I don’t know…...”
“What do you mean by that Mr. Shad?”
I gave her a troubled look.
“I’m not from here….” I said softly.
“Will you please clarify that statement?”
I didn’t want to tell her the truth. So, I told her what I told Pip before.
“I-I came from a city close to the Everfree forest. I don’t remember the name….” I answered.
“The closest city to Ponyville is Cloudsdale. Are you not from there?”
Pleas just stop asking questions about myself!
“I-I don’t know anymore….” I laid my head on my hands.
“Do you have a family?”
….
That question…. It struck way close to home. I didn’t want to talk about my past life or even my personal life right now. They are questions that are slowly piercing my heart in all directions.
“No…. I don’t…” A tear fell off of my cheeks.
“O-Oh my, I’m really sorry Mr. Shad. I-I didn’t know you were the sensitive type.”
Take a fucking hint!
I wiped off the tears quickly in embarrassment.
“This is enough data for your results later on. Thank you for cooperating and I wish you a fast recovery Mr. Shad.”
She was about to walk out the door until I spoke out, “What about my questions? When will you answer them?”
She looked back at me and gave a concerned look, “Maybe in about an hour. The doctor will inspect you and there you will have the chance to ask your questions.”
Just like that, she walked out of the room and into the crowded hallway.
I sighed in exhaustion. It’s been roughly 5 years since that incident. I thought that taking the role of a thief and doing jobs for my clients will slowly put that memory somewhere I can’t see. I guess one question can bring it back in full detail.
I placed my hand on my chest to feel my ribs. They were perfectly fine. I breathed in and out slowly and I could feel the bones of my ribs as I inhaled. I don’t know how the hell they do these kinds of miracles but I need to be thankful that I get to see another day.
Minutes later, I got bored and decided to sit upright from the bed and took a peak at the window. I slowly peered through the blinds and saw a different setting than before. The view showed no signs of cottages but giant houses with a pillar holding the roof. Instead of the greenery background, showed white tiles on the floor along with the rest of the structures. Was it a city? Doesn’t look like it…. Something like an ancient kingdom.
“Liking the view?” A male voice spoke behind me.
I turned my head to the voice and saw a pony with dark grey coating wearing a lab coat and some formal clothing. He had a statoscope hanging from his neck, a pair of glasses on his yes, and brown mustache.
“It’s a beauty isn’t it? With ponies going about their business in a vast array of ancient structures.” He said as he walked towards me.
I continued to look at him.
“Name’s Doctor Brown. Full name, Rust Brown. How have you been doing Mr. Shad?” He asked.
“Doing fine, just formulating some questions on what the hell happened to me.”
“Well, now’s your chance to ask away. I have the results of your test papers and if you’re willing to know more about your body structure, I’ll be glad to explain it briefly.”
“Do that after answering my questions, will ya?” I deadpanned.
“Fair enough.”
I sighed and looked at him seriously.
“Firstly, where am I?” I began.
“You’re currently in the city of Canterlot.” He answered.
“How did I get here?”
“You were brought here in a hurry by Princess Celestia. She said you were a special case.”
“And who the hell is this ‘Princess Celestia’?” I placed air quotations for emphasis.
“Why she is the all-knowing Princess of all of Equestria of course! She along with her sister, Princess Luna, raise the sun and moon and govern the city you’re currently in.”
I got confused on how she found me dead on the field or why she would ever consider me as a special case… But hey, as long as I’m alive, that’s all that matters.
“Next, how long was I out?” I continued.
“Well, you were brought here 3 weeks ago. That meant that you were in a state of coma. It’s a miracle that you even woke up so soon.”
3 weeks?
"Wait, how was I in a state of coma? Isn't that due to brain damage or something?"
"After your ribs broke, something or somebody placed heavy pressure on your head. This gave you brain damage but we were able to fix it."
I sighed. I don't know what the hell that fucking western girl or that big buff red dude was thinking but they have seriously injured me. I'm this close to slitting their throats open, thankfully I survived.
“How did I live?”
“Well, with a little help of healing magic, we were able to piece your ribs back together during the surgery. It might take time to fully recover as the magic is still doing its magic.” He chuckled.
I looked at him with a raised brow but chuckled along.
Wait… Healing magic? There’s healing magic here!?
“How does this healing magic work, if I may ask?”
“Well, because magic is kind of an instantaneous process, we chanted a spell that would slowly stick your ribs together. Although magic was involved, the majority of the process was accomplished through physical surgery.”
I slowly nodded.
“Are those all of your questions?” He asked.
“I’ve got one more.”
“Ask ahead.”
“How long will it take for my ribs to heal? And when can I get out of his hell hole?” I asked.
“Technically that’s two questions. The rough estimate time for your ribs to fully heal is about a week or two, seeing as your anatomy is somewhat similar to a pony’s, that being less strong. Also, it is necessary for your ribs to grow stronger than normal to avoid cases like this from happening again. And for the date on your leave, it will be available once your ribs have been fully healed and reinforced.” He answered, giving details.
“That’s all. Thank you doctor.” I said with a sigh.
He flipped open a clipboard, “No problem. Now, moving on to the analysis of your paperwork. It is stated here that you have no knowledge of where you lived before the incident prior to your ribs as well as being a missing family member?”
“I’m not a missing family member, I just have no family. I thought that was clear when I spoke to the nurse previously.” I stated blatantly.
He wrote on the clipboard on which I assumed he changed the statement.
“Well, other than your personal information being unknown which gives us little to no knowledge of your previous medical issues which will heavily weigh on your medical prescriptions, your body sustained well from the impact.”
I sighed in relief to know that nothing else broke.
“But… I’m afraid to say that there was an infection that has been growing in your right shoulder lately.” He said with a hint of seriousness and concern.
My head quickly shot up to him with a look of worry.
“What do you mean by that?” I asked.
I then realized…. I was hit by that blue blood thing that came out from that freaky monster… I looked at my right shoulder and saw it glowing bright blue. Why didn’t I notice that before?
“You were affected by a toxin that is unknown to Equestrian knowledge. We have tried analyzing it during the duration of your coma but it proves to be futile. We don’t know the symptoms as of now, but we have come up with a hypothesis if this continues to progress.”
I looked at my glowing blue shoulder not as a bad thing. In fact, I kind of thought it was cool. But, if this continues going, I might not be able to move through the night like I used to as it was going to give me away.
I turned to Doctor Brown who continued to stare with the same look.
“Continue.”
“As time passes, that infection might spread throughout your body. Once it has reached the brain, it will infect it and soon enough strip your ability to control your own body. Though, this is just an assumption and hypothesis as the kind of cases we have to date are far more different. In brief explanation, it is some sort of a virus.” He finished.
I nodded to what he said. In this situation, I just had to agree with what doctors or nurses say. They had far more expertise in medical terms and I’m kind of forced to do what they say. I always hated listening and following, but as of right now, it’s an exception to the rule.
“I shall be leaving you to rest. I will inform the princess of your awakening and hopefully get to meet you at a sooner time. Pardon me, Mr. Shad.” He stood up and walked out of the door.
I didn’t say anything. I just sat there on my bed, thinking for what’s to come and what I had to accept… Even if it was hard.
It’s been 4 days now and I’ve never been bored in my life. I felt like I repeated the same day 4 times. I was given breakfast which was porridge with some vegetables to give me some of those nutrients for the day. I was given an option to take a quick shower before having my blood checked. I read books about a certain novel and the history of this place that was given to me by the nurse, very admirable. And, I ate the same thing for lunch and dinner. Is this safe? I don’t know. But that was the gist of the passed 4 days since I woke up.
I wouldn’t say that I didn’t enjoy my leisure time in reading interesting books. It gave me a clear understanding to this world’s literature, full history, entertainment, and the fundamentals of magic.
The only things I payed attention to were the types of ponies. Pegasi, pretty clear on what they can do. Earth, ponies like Pip that excel in physical strength. Is that how my ribs collapsed? Unicorns, ponies that excel in magic. Lastly were Alicorns, ponies who excel in all three separate feats.
What was also interesting were the major events that happened to Ponies. Most of them had to do with somebody sieging the kingdom or wanting immense power. Understandable.
On the 5th day of my recovery. I met the doctor again, but he brought in some guests.
“May I come in?” He asked as he knocked on the door a few times.
“It’s open.” I told back.
The door opened to reveal the stallion who checked on me in a daily basis.
“Mr. Shad, here are some guests that want to meet you.” He moved aside to reveal a white girl with rainbow flowing mane. She wore a white dress that skid across the ground. On her head was a golden crown with bits and pieces of jewel on the sides….. Wait…
Is she…?
“Pardon my intrusion Mr. Shad, I would like to have a talk with you if that’s alright?” Her voice spoke.
Whatever I just heard got me entranced quickly. But shook it off just as fast. I didn’t know what kind of aphrodisiac aura she has but it won’t and shouldn’t affect me.
“Be my guest, Ms….” I tried to figure out who she was.
“Celestia. Princesses Celestia if you may.” She chuckled.
Aaah… Knew it.
“Okay, Princess Celestia. What business do you have with me?” I asked kindly.
She looked at the doctor and he immediately gave us the privacy by exiting through the door without a word.
“I’m here to make a deal with you, Shad.” She said in a motherly tone.
Gross….. Is this how ponies get their kindness from? If it is then it’s affecting them in a different direction. If she were a presidential candidate, I’d be the first to give her a finger. Nobody can lead a country through kindness…
“What deal are you talking about?”
She walked around the room and sat on a chair that magically appeared out of nowhere. I kept a straight face as this place has already fucked my head in all directions.
“I want you to stay with me here in Canterlot.” She said as she kept her smile.
I raised a brow, “No.”
She closed her eyes and sighed, “I knew you’d say that.”
“What makes you think you know me, Princess?” I gave her a stern look.
“Oh, I know all about you Shad. Or maybe shall I call you Jacob?” She grinned.
My eyes went wide.
“heh, nice guess. But not right.” I looked back at her with a grin of my own.
She cleared her throat and stood up, “Jacob Arvid. A human teleported to Equestria from the Planet called Earth. Lost his parents at an early age and grew up as a lonely boy. He hates following orders given by anyone and tends to grow violent went aggravated. Is this not true?” She kept her grin.
I looked at her with confusion and shock. My heart began to race as I was thinking of many ways to kill this bitch. I can’t let her tell my past.
“Oh, don’t worry. Your past is safe with me.” She said.
My eyes grew wider…. She knew what the hell I was saying.
“Why of course I know! I am the all-knowing Princess of the Sun!” She chuckled.
I was in disbelief. Something like her can exist and just act so normal right in front of me. I’d expected some sort of banishment or arrest, but there she was… The princess who is looking down on me, laughing at my own thoughts.
I sighed, there was no escape. I was stuck here and nowhere to go.
“Were you….” I started.
“Excuse me?”
“Were you the one who broutgh me here?” I said coldly.
“Yes, indeed. In fact, my request for you to be in Canterlot was-“
“WHY THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT!?” I screamed in anger at the top of my lungs.
She looked at me, but with a cold stare which pissed me off even more.
“I brought you here because this world needed your help. Is that so much to ask for?”
I gritted my teeth and clenched my fist, “That doesn’t give you the right to fucking bring me here without my consent!”
The plugs on my arms held me back from punching her. But a thought crossed me that. I shouldn’t care and just go for it. Thankfully, I restrained myself.
“I will give you a span of 2 days to think about this offer. If you’re willing to accept, I will inform you with further details about how you would live here. If you decline, we will let you choose by execution or lifetime in the dungeon.” She said as she walked towards the door.
She opened it, “Your choice, Jacob.”
She walked out and the door slowly closed by itself.
I glared at her but needed to stay cool, calm, and collected. I placed my head on my hand and sighed in annoyance.
I got my choice....
And why are all women bitches?
