PrologueView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedPrologueA Lighting Storm: RebootedWritten By: BlackMirage Mirage: “A FEW MORE LAPS?” Spitfire yelled over the sound of the large tornado, “ALRIGHT!” I yelled back, smirking The tornado was incredibly strong; Spitfire and I were in charge of keeping this kind of weather outside of Canterlot, the princess had said something like this could blow down the castle, or maybe she just wanted me out for a bit, either way I was with my best friend and doing one of the things I love most, Flying. I readied my wings and flew straight into the howling storm, dodging chunks of rocks, dirt, somepony’s bathtub, everything. The dark tornado half blinded me, I could barely see my own hoof in front of my face so every kind of movement had to be a necessity or I would end up crashing into something. I eventually got through the storm meeting with Spitfire, “Let’s just finish it off” I said, getting closer to her, “Fine” she said, I knew she wanted to mess around more, but it was getting close to the city and I was exhausted, We flew up to the top of the beast, it must have come from the Everfree Forest again, no weather pony could make something like this, “Just do it like normal?” Spitfire asked, “Might as well” I said, getting to my side, We went in a twirling motion around it, going the opposite direction of which it was spinning, as we got to the bottom we went the same direction as it on our way up, pushing ourselves to the limit as we raised it back into the sky, easily going faster than I ever had before, we finally got it into the clouds, letting it dissipate on its own. We both landed next to its path of destruction, which had left a large ravine in the ground “The worst isn’t even over yet” Spitfire said, looking towards the sky, She was right; debris that the storm had picked up started to fall from the sky. I would have gotten out of the way but we had made up a game, a very dangerous game, we would try to dodge the debris as it fell from the sky, letting it shower the land with whatever it had decided to pick up. First came a large boulder, easily dodged, next came a rainstorm of chunks of dirt, no need to dodge, then came the good stuff, the big stuff. First a washing machine, then a carriage, followed by a roof of a house, I was having a lot of fun until I heard Spitfire shout something; I quickly looked towards her, fearing the worst. Nothing had even gotten close to her, why was she yelling? *Clink!* The feeling of sickness woke me up, I was looking at a dirt road, the ground moved quickly below me, my eyes noticed small rocks and pebbles rolling out from beneath my hooves, was I running? No, I can’t even feel my legs, “Is she awake?” A voice asked, “I dunno, she’s on MY back” A more masculine voice said, Was I riding on somepony’s back? The voices sounded familiar but I couldn’t focus enough to know, Spitfire came into my vision, she must have been one of the voices, but who was the other? “She’s awake” Spitfire said, “You alright kid?” the other asked, The only pony who called me “kid” was Soarin so it must be him, “I’m fine” I said in a raspy voice, “What happened?” “You got hit upside the head pretty good” Soarin said, “Can you walk?” “Damn Soarin give her a break, she could have been killed!” Spitfire snapped, “You don’t give me any breaks when we’re training” Soarin said, “That’s different, she’s new to the team and you don’t get hit in the head with a metal pipe” Spitfire said, “Guys I’m fine” I said, forcing myself off of Soarin’s back, falling to the ground immediately, making me feel like a bomb exploded inside of my head, “You sure?” Spitfire asked, bending down and looking at me, her big orange eyes filled with worry, “Yes” I said, not wanting to show any weakness, I managed to stand up but felt like vomiting, “See?” Soarin asked, “She’s fine” he said, “Who saved me?” I asked, wanting to know, “Well Soarin swooped in and grabbed you after holding me back” Spitfire said, faking a laugh, “Thanks Soarin” I said, kissing him on the cheek, “Heh, no problem Mia” he said, blushing and using my nickname I actually liked, “Thanks Spitfire” I said, kissing her on the cheek as well, “Hey, anytime” She said, fake punching me in the side, never blushing because she was used to our affection towards each other. We all walked back to Canterlot, stopping outside of the headquarters, “Let’s hit the showers Mia” Spitfire said, “Finally” I said, craving to have a cold shower, “I’ll be upstairs girls” Soarin said, walking inside, “We’ll meet you up there” I said, speaking for the two of us, Spitfire guided me into the team’s huge shower room; the marble flooring could almost perfectly reflect us, almost like a mirror. There was no such thing as privacy in the showers, no walls keeping us away from each other, I hadn’t liked it at first but eventually I could take a shower in front of the whole team, which is usually what we had done after shows and demonstrations, everypony was okay with it, we didn’t have to share shower heads or anything we all had our own, being in alphabetical order was the only thing I wasn’t too fond of, being trapped between two stallions wasn’t the most comfortable place to be for me, especially because of the two having such vivid imaginations, I’ve caught them staring twice. This time was different though, it was just me and Spitfire, I didn’t bother to go to my shower head, just went a few down from Spitfire’s. “Are you still having trouble with those two?” Spitfire asked, massaging soap into her mane, I knew she was talking about the two Stallions that were around me, “A little” I said, “They aren’t trying anything are they?” She asked, looking towards me, “Nah, they ‘aint got the balls” I said, smiling to myself, “Yeah, those two are really getting on my nerves lately” She said, giggling from what I had said, “Y’know you can always switch places with my neighbor, she craves that kind of attention” I guessed that “neighbor” meant the mare who took a shower next to her, “Really?” I asked as I turned the water on, sending a loud screech through the shower rooms, “Yeah, It’d be cool to be able to talk to a good friend” she said, ‘Friend’ That word bounced through my mind, oh Celestia I hated having to use that word with her, I liked Spitfire a lot more than just a friend, but I couldn’t tell her, it would ruin our relationship, and may end up hurting me even more, “Mia?” Spitfire asked, snapping me back to reality, “You alright?” “What? Oh, yeah, yeah I’m fine” I said, stumbling over my words, “It’s time to shut off the showers, let’s get upstairs” she said, wrapping a towel around her wet body and mane, I hadn’t even washed my mane, but, whatever; I’d have time in the morning.
Secrets RevealedView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedSecrets RevealedI wrapped a towel around myself as well, same with my mane, I quickly followed Spitfire up to the sleeping quarters, Me Spitfire and Soarin had all gotten the same sleeping quarters, which Spitfire had done on her own. As soon as I got upstairs I slipped out of the towel, completely forgetting about Soarin, “Eep!” I shrieked, jumping into my bed, “That was smart” Spitfire said, looking towards Soarin, who sat with his eyes wide and his jaw agape, “Hey buddy, you good?” she asked, seeing his reaction, “Uh, yeah” He said, shutting his mouth, “Sorry Soarin!” I yelped from my bed, hiding under the covers, “It’s okay” he said, “I mean-“ “Oooo” Spitfire cooed, “Cat got your tongue Soarin?” “Oh what the hell” Soarin said, “Mirage I need to ask you something” “Alright” I said, Spitfire bolted downstairs, bringing up three other mares, Soarin trotted over to me; I had gotten my night robes on under the covers and gotten up, meeting him face to face, “What’s up?” I asked, trying to keep my mane out of my face, “Well… would you… wanna…” he stopped, looking back at Spitfire, who sat there with a stupid look on her face, “What?” I asked, trying to figure out why she was acting like that, He looked back at me, “Would you wanna… go to… a gathering or something?” he asked, Spitfire gave a loud face hoof behind him, nodding her head like she was disappointed, which just confused me more, “A gathering?” I asked, “What am I a fucking wizard?” Spitfire busted out laughing and fell to the ground, along with the other mares, “No, I mean… like a date” he said, scraping his hoof against the floor, “A date?” I asked, astonished, no pony had ever asked me on a date, didn’t Soarin know that I liked mares and not stallions? “Well, No not really” I said, stopping the laughter, “Oh…” he said, looking saddened, “It’s not you though, if I liked stallions I would have said yes… but, I just don’t really like stallions… Sorry” I said, trying to get him to cheer up, “Wait, you don’t like stallions?” he asked, Spitfire disappeared behind him, “No, didn’t Spitfire tell you that?” I asked, “She told me you did now” he said, looking for her behind him, “I’ll be right back” he said, chasing after Spitfire, “Soarin!” I said, stopping him, “Yeah?” he asked, “Still friends?” I asked, smiling, “Still friends” he said, smiling back, I just got in bed and waited for their return. Spitfire: Oh boy, Soarin was pissed, after a few miles he still wasn’t out of steam, “What a good joke” I said, trying to catch my breath, I hadn’t realized it then but Soarin had caught up with me, he tackled me to the ground and pinned me there while I was laughing my ass off, “Are you fucking kidding me?” He asked, looking right into my eyes, making me laugh harder, “That’s not funny!” he said, “Then, why am I laughing?” I asked, trying to hold it back for a moment, “How about I tell her your little secret?” he asked, grinning at me, I got serious, “You wouldn’t” I said, “I would” he said, laughing to himself, “Payback Time” he said, With that, he was gone, ready to tell her my only secret, she couldn’t find out, no matter what. I was up and moving a split second later, chasing after him, if he told her that, our friendship would be ruined, even if I couldn’t have her as a marefriend, I would still want her as a friend. I caught up with him outside of headquarters it was near dusk; the sun was only a pink cast of light just over the horizon, the moon was just now starting to shroud the land with darkness, “Soarin! Stop right now!” I yelled, as if I was some kind of authority, He didn’t answer, only smirked in my direction, He got upstairs before me, almost crashing into the walls as he tried to fly up the stairs, “Oh Miaaaa” he cooed, trying to get her attention, “Mia! Don’t listen to him!” I yelled from the bottom of the stairs, “What?” She asked Soarin, “Spitfire-“ He was cut off by me crashing into him, sending him into a nearby wall, “He’s lying!” I yelped, seeing him get up, He pushed me back as well, “She likes-“ Cut off again, “STOP!” Mirage yelled, standing up on her bed, “Soarin stay where you are, Spitfire come here” We did as she said, she hadn’t ever yelled, “Now, Soarin what do you have to say?” She asked, holding one of my wings so I didn’t move, “Spitfire likes you” He said, “What?” Mirage asked, a look of shock spreading across her face, “Wait!” I yelped, “She makes me tell my secret, I tell hers” Soarin said, I bowed my head, so much for friendship. “Spitfire?” Mirage asked, putting her hoof against my chin, making our eyes meet, tears were in mine, where her eyes just had confusion and worry, “I’m sorry” I said, a tear rolling down my cheek, “Why?” She asked, hopping off of her bed, “Because, we’re just friends, you wouldn’t want anything more than that” I said, “I always liked you, but I know you wouldn’t ever like me the same way” “Spitfire” Mirage said, looking towards the ground, then back to me, “Have you ever heard of the friend zone?” “Yes…” I said, knowing that was what she wanted, “Well I’ve been in it ever since I met you” She said, hugging me, Soarin’s jaw dropped audibly, I don’t think he expected that, well, honestly, neither did I, “Really?” I asked, pulling away from her, “Really” she said, nuzzling my neck, The night the followed was quite eventful, Soarin went to bed angrily, we stayed up half of the night, trying to figure out what we would do in this newly found relationship, we had a scroll, a inkwell and a quill, writing down what we liked to do, “I’ve never even been in a relationship” Mirage admitted, “I’ve been with a few stallions before, but never a mare” I admitted, looking towards her, “I don’t want to hear about any of them, ever.” Mirage said, looking serious, We sat there for a few more minutes, never writing anything down, “Damn, this is hard” I said, breaking the silence, “I said I didn’t want to hear about them” Mirage said, “I meant what to write down” I said, grinning from her vulgar mind, “Oh” She said, blushing, “What do you like to do?” I asked, “I dunno, snuggle?” she said, “Snuggle?” I asked, raising an eyebrow, “Yes” She said, blushing again, I wrote it down; at least it was something, “How about flying?” she asked, her face brightening up, “Yeah!” I agreed, writing it down as well, “So far we have snuggling and flying” I said, looking at the scroll, “You wanna try the first one?” Mirage asked, moving closer to me, “Fine” I said, rolling my eyes, We both hopped into her bed and huddled together, it was awkward at first, trying to find a position that was comfortable for both of us, but, eventually we got settled in, her head under my chin, my front legs wrapped around her back, holding her close, her front legs just above my haunches, our bottom legs inside and outside of each other’s, I was slightly taller than her, so she was better in the position she was in, her mane smelled a bit like caramel, but it wasn’t the soap she had used, if she did ever use soap, which I hadn’t seen her do earlier, it was her natural smell. “You smell like caramel” I said, “Again, I don’t want to hear about your relationships” She said, I held back a laugh, “I meant like the candy” I said, “Oh” she said, inhaling through her nose, “You smell like honey” “That’s what Caramel said” I joked, I felt one of her hooves leave my lower back and connect with my stomach, knocking the wind out of me, “He was right”

Mirage wake up!” Soarin yelled in my ear, “Why?” I asked, pulling the covers over my head, “Because we have a show today, did you forget?” he asked, “No, I didn’t forget” I lied, “Then why didn’t you set your alarm?” He asked, “Because I didn’t want to!” I yelled, pulling the covers away from me and looking him in the eye, He backed away, “What’s your problem?” he asked, I lay back down, “Nothing, I was sleeping” “So? Everypony sleeps” he said, “Not when you have Insomnia” I said, looking at my calendar, “You have Insomnia?” He asked, “Yes” I said, “Thanks for waking me up though” “Sorry” he said, “I wasn’t being sarcastic, really, thank you” I said, smiling, He smiled back, then leaned down towards me, “How’s your head kid?” he asked, “It’s fine” I said, remembering what had happened, “You sure you can fly today?” he asked, “If you didn’t want me to fly, why’d you wake me up?” I asked, grinning at him, “I’ll see you outside” he said, walking towards the door then stopping, “Could you wake up Spitfire?” he asked, smirking at me, Oh no, I had to wake up Spitfire, every time I tried to I would end up getting smacked across the face or thrown across the room, Soarin, who was larger than her could just hold her in place when he did, but I was much smaller than her, even if I was the same age, I looked to the other side of my bed, where Spitfire slept quietly; I hopped up on top of her, pinned her hooves down and spoke slowly, “Spitfire…” I whispered, making her ears twitch slightly, “Spitfire” I said a little louder, making her eyes slowly open, “Spitfi-“ I was cut off by her pushing me off of her, throwing me to the foot of the bed, my body landing with a loud thump! On the floor, “Who’s there? Where am I?” Spitfire asked looking around, “It’s just me Spitfire” I said, groaning as I got to my hooves, She raised an eyebrow, “How’d you get on the floor?” She asked, “You threw me here” I said with annoyance in my voice, “Oh my bad” she said, “What’s going on?” “We have to go train for the show today” I said, “The show?” She stopped, thinking about it, “Oh right! The show!” she said, making a fake laugh, “You forgot didn’t you?” I asked, smiling, “How could I do such a thing?” She asked, “I’d never forget” I raised an eyebrow at her, “Really?” I asked, “Yeah, I forgot” she said, hopping out of bed, “But, whatever, I remember now” Training was grueling, it felt like everypony as staring at me, which they all would be during the real show, I had never been one to crack under pressure, but the slightest mistake in my routine could end up being fatal, I was flying between rings of fire after Spitfire and Soarin, “You can do it kid!” Soarin cheered, I inhaled then exhaled deeply, I gave my wings a quick flap for good measure, I took off like a bat out of hell, whizzing between the burning circles, around the last four I really felt the heat of the fire through my suit and began to sweat, after I sped through the last ring I flew to Soarin and Spitfire’s side, ready for the next step, “Great job!” Spitfire exclaimed, fake punching me in my shoulder, “If you keep acting like that the show will be a success!” Soarin cheered, “Yeah, great job” A very sarcastic voice said, I looked to the left; it was one of the Stallions I showered next to, “What’s your problem?” Soarin asked, looking towards the Stallion, “Nothing, I was saying she did well, you got a problem?” he asked, “Yeah, I do have a problem” Soarin said, butting heads with the Stallion, “Do something about it” The stallion said, Soarin raised his hoof to the stallion and I jumped in, “Cut the shit you two” I said, eying the stallion, The stallion backed up, never looking away from Soarin, “You better keep an eye on her” he said, turning around and flying away, “Bastard…” Soarin mumbled, “Soarin, it’s fine he won’t do anything” I said, putting a hoof on his back, Something whizzed past my head, as I looked towards who did it I noticed Spitfire chasing the stallion at breakneck speed, “Spitfire wait!” I yelled, She either ignored me or didn’t hear me because she caught up with him and drilled him in the side of his face with her right hoof, “That had to hurt” I said, Spitfire did have a pretty mean right hook, Spitfire returned to us with a look of satisfaction on her face, “You alright?” Soarin asked, She shot him a look, “Yes Soarin, I am fan-fucking-tastic, somepony just threatened my marefriend” “Oh” He said, Spitfire had never cursed as much as me, “Hey, I’m fine” I said smiling warmly, She smiled back weakly, trying to hide the anger on her face, “I know, but, if what you’ve said about those two is what they really want…” She stopped, “I promise I won’t let it happen, as a friend, or a marefriend.” She said, I embraced her, “Thank you” I said, squeezing fairly hard, She returned the hug, “Your welcome” she said, We got off of each other and turned back to the team, most of the stallions were staring at us, all of their wings extended and their jaws agape, I frowned from their vulgarity, “Something wrong?” I asked, The whole crowd returned to what they were doing almost immediately. Spitfire went through the flaming death rings from hell without a problem, doing backflips inside of them like it was some kind of game, she was taking her time, “You okay kid?” Soarin asked from in front of me, “What? Yeah I’m fine, why wouldn’t I be okay?” I asked rather quickly, “You look nervous” He said, “Don’t be” “I’m not nervous Soarin” I said, faking a laugh, “Yeah you are” He said, I didn’t reply, I waited for him to take off, which he did after what felt like hours, I started to stare into the crowd, I would usually do this before preforming, trying to find out which pony stood out the most, kind of like a game, this time it was a pink pony that wouldn’t stop bouncing up and down, It was my turn to go; I flapped my wings and leaned forward, ready to take off, the world seemed to move in slow motion as I flew through the burning rings, I knew I had this one in the bag everypony around me cheered, then it all stopped, a large circular rainbow appeared in the air, it looked like the same kind of thing that happened at the Best Young Flyers competition, I was so engrossed in the large rainbow I lost focus on my job and smashed into one of the rings, creating a large burn mark on my uniform, I hit another, this time with my right wing, I heard a Snap! And felt a sharp pain go up my spine, I hit another, this time burning into the side of my body. I fell for a long time before connecting with the ground and bouncing right back up, I noticed that one of the lenses for my goggles were smashed out; the crowd stared, as did the cyan pony with the rainbow mane, who had caused the distraction, at first I thought they were going to laugh, then I saw the team rushing towards me, I checked over my body to see what was wrong, My wing was on fire.
At The CastleView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedAt The CastleSoarin: Camera flashes, the paparazzi bombarding us with questions, a certain Rainbow pony begging for forgiveness, it's funny how the word gets out so fast. Mirage was in a black hoody between Spitfire and I. She kept her head down and didn't speak a word, even though some questions were very abrupt. "What just happened in there?" one reporter asked over the other questions, "How will this effect your career?" "Who were the two ponies?" "Did you like it?" that one stood out among the rest, "What kind of question is that?!" Spitfire roared, "Of course she didn't! she doesn't even like stallions!" The crowd gasped, causing an uproar of more questions, "When were you going to tell the media about your sexual preferences?" "How long have you been lesbian?" "Do you have a partner?" again, one stood out, "Yes, she does" I said, "Is something wrong with that?" We kept walking, ignoring the rest of the questions, eventually we were pushed into a carriage pulled by Celestia's guards, we all knew where we were going, Mirage's parents were going to have a fit. "Mirage?" Spitfire asked, looking over the pony who looked like she was going to explode, Spitfire received no answer. "How was your day Mirage?" I asked, trying to get her funny side out, "I was raped, any more questions smartass?" she asked coldly, That shut me up. She crossed her arms and leaned back, closing her eyes and showing no emotion, "Don't be like that" Spitfire said, leaning towards her and hugging her, "Get off" She said without moving or opening her eyes, "Why should I?" Spitfire asked, laying her head in Mirage's lap and turning to face her, trying to be silly, "I said get off" Mirage said, her voice shaking as she spoke, "I couldn't hear you, what?" Spitfire joked, "I SAID GET THE FUCK OFF!" Mirage screamed, getting up and looking out of a nearby window, Spitfire was shocked by her outburst, "Don't yell at me!" She shouted, Mirage turned around, her eye fixed on me, "It was his fault!" She screamed, pointing a hoof at me. Ouch. "if he didn't go off on those two perverts we wouldn't be here right now!" She shouted, her voice cracking from the tears streaming down her face. "It was not Soarin's fault Mirage that is downright... wait... THEY did this to you?!" She asked, Mirage snorted, "Yeah" she said, "Why would they target you?" Spitfire asked, 'Damn, I knew I would' I thought, 'Wait no... she's just my friend.' "Wouldn't you?" Mirage asked, grinning cockily Spitfire blushed heavily, "Uh..." She stammered for words, "What we really want to know is are you going to be okay?" I asked, Mirage put up the hood on her sweatshirt and sighed, looking towards the ground, "I don't know yet Soarin, I'm never going to be able to show my face in public again." she said, "That's not true!" I said, rather loudly, "Maybe not, but don't expect me to anytime soon" She snorted. We had arrived at our destination. A crowd of ponies stood outside of the carriage as we landed, all muttering inaudibly. "Step out of ze vay! Move I say! Move!" A pony called through the crowd, I caught a glimpse of those all-too-familiar purple glasses and along with that accent I knew exactly who was walking towards us, Photo Finish. Spitfire stepped out of the carriage first, followed by Mirage and I followed close behind, not wanting anypony to get between us to split us up. "I say! who in Celestia's name is responsible for this?" Another pony shouted, Hoity Toity this time. "Why are they here?" I asked quietly as we carved a path through the crowd, "Probably to ask what's wrong" Mirage said, "Mia, They follow you everywhere!" Spitfire exclaimed, "Is that a bad thing?" Mirage asked, "Of course it is! you don't want those kinds of ponies following you around" I said, "Oh hello darling!" Hoity Toity exclaimed, he was waiting for us at the bottom of the castle steps, looking just like he did the last time we saw him, "Vat is ze occasion?" Photo Finish asked, "I'll tell you when we get inside" Mirage whispered, I was shocked, why would she want to tell these two jokers? Spitfire looked the same why I pictured myself to be, shocked. We ran up the stairs after Mirage, getting on both of her sides, "I don't need to be protected guys" Mirage said, "Obviously not" Spitfire said, Too Soon. Mirage looked over at Spitfire and mouthed something that I couldn't see, when she turned back her face was ruby red with embarrassment. "Please, Sit" A voice said from behind us, I turned around to see Celestia and Luna towering over us, Luna being the one who spoke, We all did as told, taking a seat on the velvet cushions a few hooves away, Mirage looked unsteady as she sat down, I couldn't imagine why. When she finally did I saw her wince in pain and blush, immediately jumping up and lying on her belly, "You alright?" I asked, "Yeah, I'm fine" she said, squirming in place, Celestia cleared her throat and got everypony's attention, ready to speak. "Now, I understand what happened today after the show" She said, "If anypony does not know, Mirage was sexually assaulted by two Wonderbolts" Photo Finish and Hoity Toity gasped, why were they here? I had to ask, "I'm sorry to interrupt Princess but..." I turned to look at the two fashion ponies, "What are you two doing here?" I asked, Hoity Toity and Photo Finish looked bewildered, "Can we not look out for our daughter?" Hoity Toity asked, "Your daughter?" Spitfire asked, "Yes, is that a crime now?" he asked, Mirage pointed a hoof at her father, "Watch your tongue with her" she growled, she was NOT in a good mood, Photo Finish gasped again, "Don't talk to your fazer like zat!" She said, pulling her glasses off, revealing two green eyes, probably fake. Even the way she said "father" was annoying, "I can speak to him how I want, I am a grown ass mare" Mirage asked, "Everypony please..." Celestia tried, Everypony kept on arguing, except for Celestia, Luna and I. "EVERYPONY QUIET!!!!! Luna shouted, silencing us all, We all looked in her direction, not daring to speak, "Thank you Luna" Celestia said, "Now, I want no conflict inside of this castle" she said, Spitfire whipped her mane to the side and stepped closer to Mirage, putting a hoof over her shoulder. "May I ask what this is?" Hoity asked, "Friendship" Spitfire snarled, "Ugh, Such a waste of time this was" He said, "More than friendship dad" Mirage said, putting the hood to her jacket down, revealing her beautiful purple and black mane, "What is that supposed to mean?" He asked, raising an eyebrow, "We're marefriends" Mirage said, putting a hoof over Spitfire's shoulder, Photo Finish fainted.

We arrived the morning after talking to my parents, they were pretty shocked I wanted to go to such a rustic town, but I was never much of a barbie mare anyways, I did things different than them I always had, I didn't want to end up so stuck up and full of myself like they are. "I went here to watch over the pegasi when they transported water to Cloudsdale" Spitfire said, looking over the town and smiling, I hadn't seen her out of her Wonderbolts uniform in awhile, her beautiful bright orange coat almost blinded me, her orange eyes seemed to sparkle when she looked at the buildings of the town, I could get lost in those eyes, they seemed to be endless, like a cave lit by the moonlight. "Spitfire!" A voice yelled from above, cutting off my thoughts, "Hey Rainbow Dash!" Spitfire shouted, That name... that voice... I looked up to see that rainbow maned pegasus, the one with the cyan coat, the one who made me crash into the rings of fire yesterday. She must have recognized me, because she turned away quickly, "H- Hey Mirage" She said, trying to smile, I could feel rage building up inside of me, I felt like I would burst into flames any second, I ran my hoof across the black burn mark on my side, I was glad my coat was black because it hid the burn marks. I flew up to her slowly, meeting her face to face on a small cloud, never changing my blank facial expression, "Listen, Mirage, I'm sorry for what happened yesterday" She said, holding her hoof out for a shake, I bottled up the rage, I didn't want to lash out on somepony my first day here, "It's okay Rainbow Dash, I can't blame you for something that you didn't know about" I said, shaking her hoof with my own, "Really? I mean, yeah, thanks" She said, uneasily, "We cool?" I asked, "Yeah, We're cool" She said, I flew back down to Spitfire, landing on her left and pushing her along, "Hey! if you guys wan't to come over sometime you'll be able to find my house pretty easily" She said, flying off, "See ya!" "See ya!" Spitfire shouted, We kept walking through town, talking to other ponies as we did, "The Wonderbolts are here!" One shouted, "Oh crap" Spitfire said, "Let's bail" I said, not wanting to be crowded, "Sorry everypony, Mirage needs to get her rest" Spitfire said, petting me on the head, "Shut up!" I said playfully, We took off before the crowd could reach us, tearing through the sky like bullets, "Where exactly are we going?" I asked over the roar of the wind, "Princess Celestia set us up with a nice cloud home over the Everfree Forest" Spitfire said, I looked forward, seeing a jumble of black clouds in the distance, looking like they were at war with the almost exact amount of white clouds, "Is there a storm scheduled for today?" I asked, pointing at the clouds, She shook her head, "That's home" She said, "What do you mea-" I was cut off by me slamming into the side of the black clouds, going right through it into what looked like a living room, "Oh..." I said out loud, It was a cloud home, a rather dark one really, I wasn't really a big fan of the decor, generators were lined on the walls, pumping endless amounts of electricity into the walls and floor around me. I could feel the electronic energy surging through my body. It felt amazing, I almost moaned but Spitfire had flown in next to me and landed so I fought back the urge. "How do you like it?" Spitfire asked, "I love it!" Mirage said, giving a little too much enthusiasm because of the electrical charge in her body, "You don't like it, do you?" Spitfire asked, "What? No I really do!" I said, "You sure?" She asked, she had a motherly look on her face, "I'm positive Spitfire" I said, "Okay then!" Spitfire said, let's go check it out!" "I'll be there in a second" I said, I couldn't take it any longer, "Alright!" She said, flying off to examine the home, "Ahhhhhh..." I sighed, I needed that, "What's that?" Spitfire asked, poking her head back through the doorway, "Nothing!" I accidentally shouted, "Your acting really weird" Spitfire said, "Something on your mind?" "No, I'm fine" "I didn't ask you if you were okay" "Nothing is on my mind Spitfire" "You are the worst liar I've ever met" She examined me from head to hoof, trying to find something wrong with me, I noticed she had stopped behind me, studying something near my hindquarters... "What are you looking at?" I asked, playfully smacking her across the face with my tail, "Your... uh, Cutie Mark" Spitfire stammered, "Really? that's it?" I said turning around to meet her eyes, Her fiery orange eyes stared into my own, they were luring me in closer, I could feel her warm breath against my face, I could smell her scent of honey, it reminded me of the first night we had dated, two days ago, was I ready for this? was it too soon? none of those questions mattered to me now, I couldn't pull out now. She began to close her eyes and I followed, inching closer and closer until our lips brushed against each others, Ding Dong! We both jumped at the sound and broke away from each other, laughing like nothing had happened, even though something had, there was a spark. "I'll get it" I said, "Um, okay" Spitfire said, heading into a nearby room, she must have been a bit disappointed. I walked to the door an swung it opened, revealing a pegasus with a camera, he quickly snapped a few photo's before I slammed the door in his face, Leave it to the fans to ruin something so perfect. "Oh come back out here!" The pegasus shouted, "Just a few poses!" "Not a chance pal" I said, I walked into the room I had crashed into and put some clouds in the way of the hole so the pegasus couldn't get in, It was crazy what they would do for a few pictures, "Oh Miaaaa...?" Spitfire cooed from the room she had entered, "Come in here" I raised an eyebrow and trotted towards the room, "What's up Spitfi..." My voice stopped on its own, my jaw had fallen to the floor, Spitfire was laying across a large king size cloud bed in stockings and lingerie, they were both mine too, the legs black with a purple lightning bolt going down the sides, the lingerie also black but with a small lightning bolt in my most intimate of places, "Oh... MistakesView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedMistakesMirage: Spitfire and I casually walked the streets of Ponyville, bumping into each other and fluttering our eyelashes or smiling, reminding each other of our adventures a few hours ago. "Come one! come all! For the Great and Powerful Trixie has returned to Ponyville!" A voice boomed, I saw that the voice had gotten Spitfire's full attention, she was peering over towards a blue unicorn on a large stage, she was in a large dark blue gown covered in stars, a tall blue witches hat rested on her head, covering her light blue mane. It had the same type of design as the gown. "Let's go check it out" I offered, thinking she was interested. She turned to me with a blank look on her face, I thought I had seen fear. "No, not her" She said, emphasizing 'her' "Oh come on, you are so interested" I said, patting her head like a puppy. She looked back at the stage for a few seconds, studying the magic that Trixie had been casting, "Fine" She said, I began to trot over towards her quickly but Spitfire kept her head down and moved slowly, like she was hiding from something. We moved into the crowd and watched as she pulled off more stunts and told stories of her encounters, the moon had moved up behind her and the shadow of the stage fell upon us, shrouding the crowd with darkness. Spitfire sighed with relief, nothing so simple had bothered her before, I had to figure out what was going on. "What's wrong with you all of the sudden?" I asked, raising an eyebrow to the orange pony. She looked at me with a panicked expression, her mane had been sagged with sweat, "Nothing" She said, smiling and pecking me on the cheek, chuckling a bit afterwards and turning back to the show, That wasn't going to phase me, "Something is, your all sweaty!" I said, "It's just, uh... I used to date her" Spitfire said, "You... what?" I asked, I really messed up this time. "I used to date her okay?" She snarled, "Are there any attractive mares in the crowd tonight?" Trixie boomed, A few hooves went up, I grabbed Spitfires and put it up as well, at least she could face her fears, "You there! in the back!" That was us. Spitfire's pupils shrank and she slowly trotted up on stage, smiling sheepishly at Trixie when she came into the stage lights. Trixie stepped back a few hooves, shocked to see Spitfire on stage. They stood there for a few seconds, staring at each other in silence. "Uh, So!" Trixie chirped, "You think you're an attractive mare?" "Well, yes, but certainly not more than other ponies!" She stammered, she had always had trouble talking about herself, she wasn't much of a show off. "How about now?" Trixie snapped, A light blue aurora surrounded Spitfire's mane and tail, followed by a bright flash of light, blinding everypony in the crowd. after the light faded a heard ponies gasp and jaws drop, I opened my eyes, revealing Spitfire, with a green mane. "That's just wrong." I thought, trying to keep back laughter, Spitfire kept her strong stance, fully aware of what Trixie had done. "Hey Trixie! what the hay are you doing here?" A voice called out. A rainbow maned pegasus shot on stage, confronting Trixie face to face. "Uh, Um... The Great and Powerful-" "Yeah, yeah, we've all heard the story before" Rainbow Dash said, "Um..." Trixie stammered, "I'll be back!" She shouted, The stage seemed to fold up into a cart, throwing Spitfire and Rainbow Dash into the dirt. Trixie took off with the cart, leaving a trail of dust in her wake. "And don't come back!" Rainbow shouted from the ground, The crowd slowly trotted away like nothing had happened, they acted like characters from a cartoon. I flew up to Spitfire, who was now on her hooves, tapping one against the ground impatiently. "Sorry about that" I said, scratching the back of my head. She turned to me with a scolding look on her face, "What in Celestia's name possessed you to do something like that?" She growled, "I said I was sorry" I said, getting closer to the ground. Rainbow Dash stood a few hooves away awkwardly along with a lavender unicorn and a pink earth pony, who looked oddly familiar. "I don't care if you said sorry! that was humiliating! I could have been-" She stopped mid sentence, I was cowering like a foal now, unable to take away eye contact with my marefriend. "Spitfire-" the lavender pony tried, "No! that was your fault!" Spitfire turned away and spread her wings, "I'll see you at home" she said, taking off like a bat out of hell. I couldn't speak, I stayed in the position I was in, whimpering like I had been beaten. Rainbow Dash slowly walked up to me, kneeling at my side and putting comforting hoof on my shoulder, "Hey, It'll be just fine" she said, shaking me a little, I turned to look at her with teary eyes, "No it won't I screwed everything up" I said, Her magenta eyes seemed to shimmer in the moonlight as she stood up, "Everything turned out okay a few days ago" she said, avoiding saying what had happened. It was like I was in a trance, her mane blew in the wind, her eyes almost glowed in the moonlight, then I did something that will eat me inside for the rest of my life, I leaned up and kissed her. her soft lips connected with mine, her mane blew against my closed eyes, the smell of fruit found its way into my nose, it felt so wrong. But it felt so right. Rainbow Dash broke the kiss quickly, she stood there in shock for a few seconds, she tried to speak but I was already in the air, flying faster than ever before. What was I thinking? Why did I do that? What is wrong with me? Spitfire! She can't find out. What if Rainbow Dash tells her? I need to tell her it was a mistake! What if she hates me and never wants to see me again? What if she kicks me out of the Wonderbolts? What would Soarin say? What would the team think? What would Celestia think? My thoughts were cut off by something hitting me in the side, slashing a gash on my wing opened, I fell towards the ground quickly with nothing to break my fall, the earth was ready to end me when I felt myself stop suddenly, inches from the ground. A light blue aurora surrounded me, I looked around frantically to see who had attacked me, or who had saved me. A silhouette of a pony was shrouded in darkness from a nearby building making it unrecognizable. "Who's there?" I asked, The pony came into view, It was Trixie. "Trixie! thank you!" I said, "I wouldn't thank me yet" She muttered, With a flick of her head she slammed me into the ground, making me see stars. "Hey! what gives?" I asked, rubbing my head and checking my injured wing, which seemed to be bleeding pretty well, I turned back to Trixie, her blue coat had turned brown, her hooves were replaced with large hands with nasty looking claws, that seemed to be extending by the second, I watched in horror as her transformation continued, her muzzle extended, a small black canine nose came into view at the end of it, her front legs grew a few hooves longer and her back legs grew double the front, giving her the appearance of a dog, her ears became pointed, her mane and tail became brown and her light blue eyes became golden. "W-What are you?" I stammered, fearing the creature that stood in front of me, A growl came out of that, she was on me in seconds, her large claws dug into my shoulders, I tried to scream but my voice wouldn't cooperate, leaving me helpless. The thing that used to be Trixie dug her teeth into my neck, biting down and trying to rip my throat out. She gave up after a few seconds, leaving me coughing and choking on my own blood. The creature roared at the pony, who stood tall and proud, drawing a large sword from a sheath on its back, showing it off to the dog, "You wanna come closer?" the pony asked, The dog turned to me and then back to the pony it snarled and took a giant leap into the air, going higher than I'd ever seen anything without wings go. The pony rushed towards me, loading me onto its back and moving fast towards what I guessed was the hospital, my vision blurred and darkness covered my eyes, I could hear voices and shouting but couldn't see anything, the last thing I heard was somepony crying and something metal hitting the floor.

Spitfire slowly stepped into a dim light cast from a small lamp in the middle of the room, her orange coat was barely noticeable through the black dye that covered it almost completely, her mane was still a shining silver color, her eyes were glazed with tears from what she had seen a few minutes ago, she hadn't had time to wash herself before she was pushed into the room. "Because I love her..." Spitfire said, tears streaming from her face as she spoke. The figure moved closer to her, just keeping away from the light to hide his appearance, "Does she love you though?" He asked, grinning. He knew what Spitfire had seen, Mirage had kissed Rainbow Dash after Spitfire had yelled at her, she had tried to understand why, and knew that Mirage probably wouldn't have done it otherwise, but it was hard to think of her doing such a thing so horrible. "Yes..." Spitfire whispered, unsure of herself, "Really?" He asked, putting Spitfire's chin in his hoof and making her eyes stare into his, Spitfire knew what was coming, he had done it many times before. He kissed her, passionately, Spitfire's ears lowered and her eyes darted from side to side, as if trying to look for an escape route. She knew that the leader had a thing for her, hell, he had a thing for any mare on the team. Spitfire knew the consequences, but she broke the kiss when his tongue tried to break through the gates of her teeth. The stallion looked enraged, he brought a hoof up and brought it down swiftly on Spitfire's face, making her yelp and back away a few feet. His breathing was harsh as he stepped into the light, he raised a hoof to Spitfire, pointing straight at her, Spitfire examined her captain, his red coat, the red and yellow mane that was slicked back like daggers, the red, bloodshot eye, the scar of three claws going into his other eye, leaving it fogged over and blind, he looked horrible, the years of warfare stuck out on him like a sore hoof, he was the leader of The Silver Swords. He was Cyber Burst. "You finish her, Or I'll do it myself" He said, reaching a hoof to his back and showing off his sword. Time to head home. Spitfire: I had finally arrived at home, as I entered I did so quietly, as if not to wake anypony. I heard water running from the sink in the kitchen and somepony humming a tune, I slowly crept into the bathroom, quickly washing off the dye from my coat and mane, hiding my sword in a secret compartment behind the picture of Canterlot that hung above the towel rack. Once I finished I trotted into the kitchen cautiously, seeing Mirage quietly doing the dishes and humming the tune. I walked up beside her and began to help, she jumped at first and backed away from me, like she was expecting me to do something, which I was fully capable of doing, she eventually eased her way back in, scrubbing the dishes in a spiral motion with a blue cloth. "Good morning" I said, It wasn't morning, it was actually pretty late but I had to find a way to break the silence between us. "Morning" She said after a few seconds, "What took so long for you to get home last night?" I asked, seeing the bandages that should have been on her neck were missing, and her wounded shoulders seemed to be working perfectly, she had changed. She paused for a moment, then spoke, "I went to the bar" she said, I smirked, she was a bad liar, "There aren't any bars in Ponyville" I said, "Well then..." She said, I began to feel around for any kind of sharp weapon in the soapy sink, I was in danger if she was what I thought she was, My hoof finally rested on a steel kitchen knife, I moved my hoof downwards towards the handle but was stopped by something, Mirage looked up from the dishes and to me, I returned the glance, then was struck with realization, It was her hoof. In a split second Mirage had let go of the knife and smacked me upside the head with a large pan, sending me toppling over onto the floor, using my hoof to search for anything to fight back with, "Why are you with them?" Mirage shouted, walking closer to me with the pan in hoof, "Why are you one of them?" I asked, I knew exactly what she was now, there was no doubt in my mind that she knew what she was, and she knew what I was. "It wasn't my choice!" She yelped, jumping on top of me, moving faster than ever before. I fought against her, she had clearly gotten stronger since the transformation, I could barely move her body. "Get off of me, dog!" I yelled at her, She seemed taken aback by the insult, she stepped off of me and gave me time to get to my hooves. I looked her in the eyes when I got up, they were glazed over with tears. "What?" She asked, her voice sounding pained, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her for just a second, but then I remembered my job. "I have to do this" I said, reaching into the stove for my backup weapon, "Looking for this?" She asked, dropping the sword at her hooves, "Just get it over with" I picked up the sword cautiously, backing up every time she would move the slightest inch, ready for a counter attack. I unsheathed the silver beauty, Mirage backed up at the sight of it, growling as I moved closer to her, Just as I raised the sword she put a hoof on my chest, pushing me into the fridge and smashing it opened, various drinks and food poured onto me, drenching my coat and mane. Mirage looked at her hooves in disbelief, "I'm so-" Before she could finish her apology I was swinging the sword at her viciously, which she dodged with ease. I stopped to take a breath, looking at my marefriend in confusion, "How are you... doing that...?" I asked between breaths, "I don't know!" She yelped, She ran into the living room and I followed, leaving the sword behind. She stopped in the middle and I quickly grabbed her, smashing her through the coffee table, sending glass shards in every direction, She grunted in pain and got back up, brushing the glass from her coat and mane, looking at me without a hint of amusement on her face. She quickly charged at me and smashed me into a grandfather clock I hadn't noticed before. I recovered and pushed her into a piano, causing it to emit a deathly sound, It was like we were taking turns hurting each other, one second she's running my face along the piano keys, the next I'm throwing her inside of it, slamming the top down on her. She dove out of the piano and tackled me to the ground, pinning me there, Tears streamed down her face and raspy breaths came from her lungs, she collapsed on me, losing all grip on me and hugging me like a filly would do to her mother, sobbing on my shoulder. "I-I don't wanna f-fight anymore" She moaned, I had clearly done a number on her, but she had also done one on me, I found myself hugging her back and comforting her to the best of my abilities, "I know sweety, but... I'm a... and your a..." I couldn't say it, I loved this mare on top of me, no matter what Cyburst said. "I know what I am..." Mirage sniffled, still crying, "I never wanted this to happen" She sounded so cute like that, I felt tears of my own welling up in my eyes, She needed somepony, and that pony was going to be me. I lightly brushed her mane and rocked her to sleep, I had so many questions to ask her but they could wait until morning, for now I had to comfort my marefriend.

The sun leaked light in through a nearby window and a warm breeze blew through the house. Laying behind me, holding me in place with her forehooves was Spitfire, who had gone from worst enemy to marefriend again in a matter of hours. It's funny, every time something bad would happen we would find a way to push through, like we were attracted to each other, not just emotionally, but physically too. We were like two high powered magnets, always sticking to each other. I shifted my body so I could face her, wiggling gently to not wake her. Once I got in place I watched her orange tummy slowly rise and fall, each time blowing warm air into my mane, only to steal it back seconds later. I ascended my eyes from her tummy to her face, seeing the large purple and blue mark barely hidden under her mane, I slowly remembered the events of the night before, I made a guess that it was probably the pan that I had surprised her with at first. Her eyes fluttered open, the fiery orange that lie beneath glistened with some help of the light coming in from the windows. She stared right into my eyes for a few seconds and a smile formed on her lips, which I returned swiftly. I closed my eyes positioned the top of my head under her chin, curling up next to her like I had done with my mother as a foal, only I wasn't immediately swarmed by the camera wielding paparazzi. "Good morning" She said, snuggling up next to me. It took me a few seconds to process that she had spoke, I was really comfortable and sore from the adventures of the night before, "Morning" I finally said, We laid there in silence for a few minutes before speaking again, "Hey... about last night..." She said, "Don't worry about it, I'll clean it up" I said, "No, not that..." She stopped and brought my head up so we looked into each others eyes, "I didn't hurt you, did I?" she asked, looking ashamed, "What? No" I said, I instantly felt bad for not asking her the same question first, "Did I hurt you?" "Not really" She said, holding the back of her head, "Just my head" I felt horrible, "Roll over, let me see" I said, She took her hooves off of me and rolled over so I could see the back of her head, which had a large bruise on it, I couldn't figure out what I had done to cause it though, maybe the fridge? "It's just a bruise" I said playfully, "You'll be fine" There was another silence, she rolled over to face me again after a minute or so, smiling happily I couldn't help but smile and chuckle for a second, "Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked, smiling, She put her hand on my waist and pulled me closer to her, "You're so mysterious" she said, I was a little confused, "Why's that?" I asked, "How did you know I had come home to attack you?" She asked, I thought for a second and remembered waking up in the hospital, surrounded by other ponies, including Trixie and the alpha mare named Blackblood. "When I woke up, A bunch of ponies were observing me. One of them was what the others call, 'The Alpha Mare', she informed me about what I now am, what we do, and what you do and what you are" I explained, "I told them about the relationship between us two and she told me to immediately end it and dispose of you." "Not surprising" Spitfire said, "Blackblood doesn't care for that kind of stuff" "Yeah, I argued with her for hours before I finally said yes" I said, "Then I came home, apparently we heal a lot faster than the normal pony" "You were going to kill me?" She asked, "No!" I shrieked, "I wouldn't! I couldn't!" "Why did you have your hoof on the knife?" She asked, "That was for protection, I didn't know what you knew" I explained, "Why did you put yours on it?" "Same reason" She said, "Cyber Burst tell you the same thing?" I asked, Blackblood had gone over almost every name in their organization, "Yeah" She said, Another silence between us, "Oh, and... Sorry for the whole... you know, kicking your ass thing" I said, smirking "Were you at the same house as me? because I remember kicking your ass" She said, "Yeah, Yeah, whatever" I said, having an argument about something stupid wasn't something on my To Do list today. "Nice swing with the pan though" She said, We both got a good laugh out of that, I probably couldn't have brought myself to kill Spitfire, it wouldn't be easy to take somepony's life no matter who they were. "You wanna come help me straighten things up?" Spitfire asked, looking at the damage from the night before. I groaned and stretched, "Not really, I'm tired" "I think you're just-" I didn't let her finish her sentence, before words could leave her mouth I kissed her, adjusting my body so I could keep up with her pace, she ended up on top of me rather than me on her, which is what I had wanted in the first place. I had never gotten to return the favor for her making me feel good, but she was stronger than me and larger. "No fair" I pouted, crossing my arms, "What's wrong?" she asked, pulling her lips from where they rested at my neck and looking down at me, which I hated, it made me feel small and helpless. "You're stronger than me" I said, trying to push up on her, "So?" "I hate being down here, and you having complete control over me" I said, "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" she asked, "I dunno" I pouted, "I thought you would get mad" "Now why would I do tha-?" she asked, "Whoa!" I began to lift her off of the ground in the middle of her speaking, carrying her to the bedroom and pushing her onto the bed on her back, "Ha!" I shouted in triumph, I jumped on top of her and started kissing her neck like she had done to me, I felt her body heat up as I did this, I started to feel around, tracing a line from her tummy to her inner thighs, which had become wet in the process. "Enjoying yourself?" I asked, kissing her and pulling away quickly, "Y-Yes" She stammered, I gently put my hoof on the grand prize, at first slowly gliding over it, after getting my hoof much more wet I slid over it in steady motions, getting a moan of pure ecstasy every so often, "Mia-a-a-a" She moaned, "Shhh..." "Do you think she knows?" Mirage asked, she was visibly sweating, "How could she?" I asked, I knew it was highly unlikely, but possible. We stared at it for a few more minutes, looking over at each other every once in awhile. "Screw it, I'm opening it" Mirage said, tearing it opened. Inside was a letter with two tickets attached to the bottom, which I guessed to be train tickets back to Canterlot, The letter read: Spitfire and Mirage Greetings from Canterlot, I am aware of the recent events going on in Ponyville and I want both of you to meet me and the rest of the Wonderbolts team tonight, I hope everything is going smoothly with you two in the new relationship, Soarin had informed me of this after you two had left... We both let out a sigh of relief, the first sentence had really scared us out of our wits. Shortly after we continued reading, The Grand Galloping Gala is to be held tomorrow night inside of the castle and I want you two to be there, Mirage, if you have any questions you can ask them to Spitfire, she has been there for the past few years. Onto something else now, I have had word with your team Spitfire, they told me a bit about what happened a few nights ago... "Celestia knows about the Silver Swords?!" Mirage asked with a shocked tone, "Yeah, she does" I replied lamely, "AND she knows about Trixie?!" "Apparently so" Mirage, I promise you that I will try to help in any way I can, I have had word with the leader and he promised me not to attack you. But I wouldn't be so sure, If you are in a different form he may not know it is you, so just try to avoid any means of stress, Stay away from anything Silver and whatever you do... Do Not go outside during a full moon, Spitfire, some of her new instincts will cause her to want to go outside on these nights. Just try to get her to go to sleep before the sun goes down, if you do happen to catch her during transformation splash her with ice cold water, if she does take on full formation you will need to keep her away from town by any means necessary. I've informed Cyber Burst about your situation and he promises to keep you off duty as much as possible so you can take care of Mirage. "It's not like I'm a foal!" Mirage shouted at the letter, - Princess Celestia P.S. Her moods will change drastically from time to time, try not to yell or get in fights with her. "It's not like I'm pregnant either!" Mirage yelled, Those words burrowed down deep into me. Pregnancy was not something we could achieve together, neither of us could produce male genes, we would need a Stallion somewhere in there. A sperm bank would be a wise decision, but, I was certain there wasn't one in Ponyville, and I hadn't known of any in Canterlot, I was pretty sure there was one in Las Pegasus but Celestia help me if I was stupid to go there with Mirage. I would have to look around. I couldn't pull myself away from the topic, even though I had never really thought about raising a foal with Mirage, would she even want to? Who would be the one to have the baby? What would she say if I brought it up? "Hey... Mirage?" I asked, taking a chance, She turned to me with the two tickets in her mouth, she looked really adorable like that for some reason. "Yeshm?" She slowly turned around and bolted towards the bedroom, leaving me in the kitchen looking like an Idiot, which I was for saying what I did, sure it was true, but I knew she didn't do it because she didn't love me. "Mirage wait-" I couldn't finish my sentence before the bedroom door slammed shut, echoing throughout the house like an explosion. I was at the door in seconds, trying to open it, only to find it was locked. I knocked on it loudly, "Mia I'm sorry! I didn't mean-" "Shut up! leave me alone!" she shouted from the inside, I could hear the pain in her voice and instantly knew she was crying, "But-" "Go away!" "I'm-" Something smashed against a wall, "I said Go Away!" She screamed, "Mia, The princess said you can't be stressed out" I said, "Well it's too late for that!" She laughed, Something shattered now. "Mia open the damn door!" I said, pushing my body up against it, "Why? So you can tell me how terrible I am some more?" She asked, "I never said that!" "It sure did sound like it!" "Your not terrible Mirage" I said, "Your amazing, ever since I met you at flight school I knew you would be a great friend and a few weeks ago it occurred to me that you would be a great marefriend. That's why were here right now, I don't care about Rainbow Dash, I care about you. I care about what happens to you, I care about your safety." I laughed, "For once in my life I found something to care about other than my job and myself, and that something is you!" Silence. "But I don't know if your safe when your behind this door!" I finished, The door handle clicked and slowly squeaked open, I was greeted by two beautiful purple eyes that had been glazed over with tears. "Really?" She asked, "Yeah, Really" I said, blushing a bit. "Do you still want to go to the Gala?" "With you?" She asked, opening the door up more. "Of course" "Sure."

"Eh, Maybe they're hosting it every season now" She said, shrugging and smiling at me, "Oh" I said, "When are we supposed to get there?" She paused and itched her chin, "I don't know, half an hour?" I was never a very patient pony, my dad said I had gotten it from my mother. I wouldn't doubt that. "Uh, Spitfire?" I asked, "Yeah?" "What are we even supposed to do at the Gala?" She paused and gave me a questioning look, "You're kidding right?" "No, I'm not" I found myself irritated, "Well, it's pretty much a big party" She said, "But won't all the fancy-shmancy ponies be there?" "Yeah" "Great" I had never liked citizens of Canterlot, even though I was one, they were all stuck up and snooty, the type of pony that thinks he or she is better than everypony else. I guess that's like saying I don't like my family but I really did love them, I was just... different than them. Hell, I had known that the day I started flight school, bullies just seemed to flock towards me like I was bait. At least I had the last laugh. I had been lost in my thoughts for quite awhile, Spitfire was waving her hoof in front of my face, "Equestria to Mia! you in there?" she asked, "What?" I asked, "We're here" The Castle seemed deserted, nopony was there except Luna and Celestia, standing at the doors. "Princess Celestia? where is everypony?" Spitfire asked, Celestia looked down upon us, Luna quietly watched me from Celestia's side, never letting me make eye contact when I looked over to her. "Come inside" Was all she said, opening the doors and slipping inside. We followed without question, Luna came in behind us, closing the door when we were both in the castle. Again, nopony was to be seen. "Mirage!" A familiar voice called, I looked to the right, seeing an electric blue coat and neon green mane running towards me, emerald eyes tearing down into my soul. "Sister!" I yelped, running towards my older sibling and embracing her, Neon Soul was a very special pony, she was my sister, my best friend, my only family member who didn't have an accent, my foalsitter, the closest thing that I had to a mother other than Photo Finish. I felt warm tears run down my shoulder, I didn't fully understand why she was crying until I found tears were running my face as well. She let go of me but kept her forehooves on my shoulders. "Look at you! You've changed so much since I last saw you!" she said, "So have you! why aren't you still on tour?" I asked, She sniffled, "Do you think my musical career is more important than my younger sister?" she asked, "Neon! get away from her!" My fathers voice called, I looked up in confusion, what was his problem this time? "What's wrong dad?" she asked, Celestia appeared at my side, "I haven't told her about your... condition yet" She said, Condition? that's what this was about? "Condition?" Neon asked, Spitfire appeared about my side as well, looking at me with confusion on her face, "Your sister is THE Neon Soul?" She asked, "Yes, Why?" "Ever think to tell me?" she asked, laughing, "Not really, No, I didn't think it was that big of a deal" "Do you have any other famous relatives that I should know about?" "Cousins" I said, "Never mind, I don't even want to know" She laughed, Neon Soul was arguing with dad and talking to Celestia at the same time, "I need you to come with me, Mirage" Luna said from behind us, Blackblood and Cyber Burst were both at her sides, eyeing each other like they were going to kill each other right there. "Where did they come from?" I asked, gesturing to the two rival faction leaders. "They've been here all along" she said, "Lucky I don't kill you right here you stupid mutt!" Cyber Burst screamed out of nowhere, getting everypony's attention. He looked at us for a second then smiled sheepishly, "Sorry" he said, We followed Luna to a room I had never seen before, it looked like a torture room but clearly wasn't, more like an interrogation room, a large glass room was on the other side of the room we entered cut off by a large steel door. Luna entered the glass room, followed by Spitfire, Cyber Burst, and finally Blackblood, who seemed to steer clear of the door. I went to enter with them but was stopped by a sound of rocks, I turned around to see the door had disappeared and replaced with a stone wall. Another slam drew my attention back to the others, the door had closed. At first I was confused, had they forgotten about me? had they shut the door by accident? Apparently not, Spitfire was banging on the glass from the outside while Luna tried to hold her back. I was trapped. A voice came in over a loud speaker that I couldn't see, "Mirage, Calm down." The voice said slowly, I realized my breathing quickened, I looked down to see large claws inching their way out of my hooves and my fur brightening to a faint grey. "What's going on?" I asked, my voice was panicked and hoarse, like I had just woke up from a nightmare. "We need to keep you calm for a minute" She said, I found out that it was Luna, "Then you can freak out." Wow, thanks your majesty. "You might want to start talking" A different voice said, "She's changing fast" "Changing into what?" Spitfire's voice asked, "I think you already know, doll." A voice said, "Who you calling doll?" I shouted, "Your marefriend" he chuckled, I leaped at the window, slashing at it with my new claws and furthering my transformation The glass seemed to take no damage at all, only white marks told where my claws had connected, but even they seemed to be pitiful. "Looks like you got a feisty one there Spitfire" Cyber Burst laughed, "Bite me" She said, glaring at him devilishly, "With pleasure" he said, leaning towards her, A hoof raised and struck him under the jaw, launching him into the air and landing with a loud thump on the concrete ground. I smirked, "I'm nothing compared to her." Blackblood was laughing, "Looks like Cyburst got decked by a mare!" she chucked, pointing a hoof and falling over, "How about I slap a bitch?" Cyburst said, raising a hoof at the mare. I ha noticed Spitfire was staring at me through the glass, only inches from my reach. She seemed to be much...shorter. A purple glare flashed through her eyes, I adjusted my eyes so the glass reflected my image. What stared back at me was something completely different, my body looked like it had been replaced by a something out of a horror movie, my muzzle had extended and had a black nose on the end of it covered in a liquid unknown to me at the time. my eyes had changed into an aggressive golden color which seemed to see things invisible to the naked eye, my ears had gotten sharper at the tips and my coat had changed into a light silver with purple 'highlights' which was made up of the occasional purple marking on my body, like war paint. Four inch purple claws extended from my front and back paws which had grown like those of a bear's, the back paws had elongated allowing me to stand up on my back legs without problem. I stood a good six feet off the ground from my normal three, my front paws seemed to work like hands of some kind. I looked back up at the others, they were all gathered at the windows. All sharing the same looks of horror on their faces. I looked at the reflection again, it stared right back at me. The edges of its lips curved upwards. But mine did not.
Old FriendsView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedOld Friends3 Days Later... Spitfire: The bright lights of Club Scratch blurred my vision, the riot of partying ponies blocked me from reaching her, the smell of alcohol invaded my nostrils. The mare stood behind a large table, rocking her head calmly to the beat erupting from her headphones. Vinyl Scratch would be no simple target, but I had a feeling she knew where my marefriend was being held. It seemed easy enough, swoop in, grab her and swoop out. Nothing was ever that easy. "Even a pony as stupid as you wouldn't come here." A voice called from my left, As I looked in the direction of the voice I was suddenly pushed over from a stumbling pony. "Watch it!" I hissed, glaring at him, "Whoa, didn't see ya there bro." He answered, his eyes narrowing when he saw the colors on my body. I grinned at him devilishly, he was obviously an enemy of the Silver Swords, even in his drunk state he recognized the distinction my figure had to the rest of the crowd. He staggered away from me, calling out for somepony. I knew better than to come to this club as regular ol' Spitfire, I would have immediately gotten recognized and crowded by ponies, giving Vinyl a chance to escape. Little did I know that there would be so many supernaturals here, a few stared at me curiously, thinking I was somepony new, others new exactly who I was, and who I belonged to. Some stallion who had clearly had to much to drink carefully slid in front of me, blocking my view and way of the stage, which I had just now cleared a path to. "Hey... I saw you from across..." He waved his hoof in the direction of the bar, "Over... there... and was wondering if you... wanted to dance?" The stench of alcohol on his breath made me wrinkle my nose, there was no way I was letting this pest get in the way of... Shit. Without warning, the music changed and he pulled me into the center of the dance floor, beginning to try and dance, he had spun me a few too many times before the music seemed to stop altogether and he fell over, passing out. I stood there awkwardly for a few seconds, everypony seemed to stare at me, including the DJ, who had raised her glasses in shock of me being there, revealing two blood red eyes. Two ponies jumped from the crowd and slammed my head into a nearby table, pinning me against it. "Wait! these are my normal colors!" I cried out in defense, I would have face hoofed from the stupidity if my hooves weren't constricted, The DJ only raised an eyebrow, I looked to one of the guards the held me down, "That's never gonna work, is it?" I asked, "Nope." "Okay everypony!" The DJ called out, "let's get this party started!" All of the ponies seemed to smile at once, like they all new what was going on, some fled to the outside, but most stayed. One pony seemed to appear from thin air beside me, he was in a dark hood and held a large, bone scythe in one hoof, "Welcome to hell." It said, How stupid! I had walked right into one of their gatherings! I reared up and as if on cue, the music began again. This time more upbeat and lively, like a happy mood. I headbutted one of the ponies holding me down, then tripped the other, gripping the back of his mane and sending his face into the wooden table, smashing it in half. The hooded pony took a swing at me with its scythe, I ducked and reached for the dagger on my left leg, slashing wildly at the pony but it evaporated before I actually got a hit on it. "What's going on in there?" Soarin's voice crackled over the radio, "Surrounded. Need... a way out." I said, panting for air, "Uhhh, there!" He stammered, "Can you make it to the back exit?" I looked around and saw a red exit sign looming over a black door on the left of the stage, alot of ponies guarded it though, "Maybe, can you give a distraction?" I asked, I actually gave a slight thank you to Vinyl, the music was so loud her companions couldn't hear me. Speaking of companions, they were getting closer and closer. "Already on it" Soarin said, Glass fell on me from above, as it threatened to find a home in my head, I moved towards the exit, most of them were looking up. I followed their gazes when I found my way to the door, Soarin himself was flying through the air with a giant neon sign that read: DISTRACTION I almost laughed at his humor, but I had to move, they were beginning to figure out what he was doing. I opened the door and moved swiftly, maneuvering around boxes and wooden planks, I was in some kind of storage room or something, there had to be an exit somewhere- I was tackled into a nearby pile of wooden crates, making them explode on impact as my attacker and I smashed into them. Vinyl was on top of me, punching me wherever she could with a free hoof, "What makes you think you can just waltz in here, huh?" She asked, a mixture of anger and determination was in her eyes, A swift punch was delivered across my face, "Well I've go news for you, buster" She lifted me up and slammed me back down into a row of metal pipes, "I'm so sick..." She stomped on my chest, "Of you damn..." She picked me up and threw me into the side of a roaring generator, "Hunters coming in here..." She ripped some wires out of the generator, wrapping them around my neck, "And ruining..." She spun me around and slammed my head into the side of the generator, pulling me back up with the wires, "My..." She repeated, "God..." Again, "Damn..." Again, "Day!" This time she threw me against the wall, dragged me to the ground and held the wires around my neck, shaking me every few seconds. My world blurred in and out, the concrete beneath me was splattered with my blood, Vinyl tugged at the wires without mercy, either trying to break my neck or choke me out... or maybe both. I thought of Mirage, she was probably curled up somewhere, scared and cold, or maybe she had been found, some kind of animal catcher had put her down, she could have been anywhere. "Get off of her!" A voice called. Anywhere. "Get the others, Mia!" Vinyl cried, "I said get off!" Mirage: Vinyl had kept me for three days, she said that they had changed me so they could put an end to me, as a kind of sick message to the other Supernaturals that tried to cross them. But, seeing her do this much damage to my marefriend told me that she was lying. I knew what Spitfire was capable of, she had demonstrated it pretty well a few nights before at home, although I doubted that she could actually do it. I lunged at Vinyl, tackling her off of Spitfire to loosen the wires that threatened to suffocate her. Vinyl was much quicker than me, but if I could somehow get my hooves on her I could keep her wherever I wanted. I grabbed the Dj's tail, using it as a handle to swing her over my head and slam her onto the concrete. Her whole body stopped altogether when she connected with the ground, I didn't expect her to go down just like that, she wasn't dead, I wasn't even sure if she COULD die, I hadn't asked when I had stayed with her and Octavia, her Reaper roommate. I rushed over to Spitfire, grabbing her and pulling her in for a hug. I felt hot tears run down my face, she was barely conscious enough to speak or move, but she managed. "She's-" Clang! I found myself on the ground, watching my marefriend getting dragged away by Vinyl Scratch, I didn't know Octavia came to these things, she didn't like electronic music. I was more worried about how Spitfire had seen her, mortals can only see Reapers when they are dead, or near death. "Just kill her already." Octavia said, her eyes were a deep red, not the soothing purple like normal. "No, let's show Mia here what it means to suffer." Vinyl said, Vinyl leaned her head in, nibbling at Spitfire's neck before she reared back and chomped down on it. I stood up shakily, trudging over to Spitfire while Octavia laughed and smashed a pipe back down on my spine, knocking me to the ground again and again. I was within ten hooves of Vinyl, who had already dropped Spitfire and just stood over her with a bloody smile on her face. "Just a little more, puppy." She taunted. The pipe came down again, making my body meet the ground yet again. I was glad I had jammed the door, Others would be here too if I hadn't, beating down on the both of us. I could feel blood gushing from my back, she had sliced something open back there. Returning HomeView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedReturning HomeSpitfire: The sound of a blowtorch woke me up. I was a good two feet off of the ground, chains held my front hooves above my head, to the ceiling. Strong ropes bound my back hooves down to the ground, I was unable to move in anyway possible. Better yet, it was pitch black, and I could only stare straight forward. "Looks like the fillyfooler is awake." A voice echoed. The lights flickered on overhead, my own home appeared before my eyes along with a black and purple mare, hanging in what seemed to be the same way as myself, only bruised and bleeding form her nose. I began to fear the worst, my breathing quickened and I thrashed around in the chains. "Don't worry, she's not dead, just unconsious." The voice said, I recognized it as Cyber Burst. I tried to speak, but found out I had been gagged as well. The Stallion stepped in front of me. "Though I cant say the same for those two." he said, moving his head to the side. He grabbed the chains and swiveled them, making me spot two bloody mares on the ground, one being Vinyl Scratch, the other Octavia. They appeared to be alive, but I knew I could be wrong. He swiveled the chains back so I was facing my marefriend yet again. "It's a shame you two couldn't fight them off." Cyber Burst continued, "They were quite easy." The gag was removed and only one thing came from my mouth. "Thank you, Cyber Burst." I said, "Thank you for saving us." I realized I was too quick to judge, I had originally thought Vinyl and Octavia had done this to us. "What?" Cyber laughed, "You really think I would save you?" My heart began to pound in my chest. "But, the blowtorch! you're cutting us down... right?" Another pony stepped up with the blowtorch, which was burnng blue with heat. "Oh, no." Cyber said, "That's the main event!" The pony slashed with the blowtorch like it was some kind of blade, burning across Mirage's chest. Mirage awoke with a heart wrenching scream. "No! Stop!" I pleaded. "Why?" Cyber asked with a devilish smile. "We're only teaching Mirage about the other elements." The pony jerked the blowtorch again, burning across Mirage's back legs. elicting yet another scream from my marefriend. The gag was put back onto me. Mirage smiled and the chains above her began to spark with purple electricity. The pony jabbed at her with the torch, holding it down on her chest without mercy. Making her scream louder and louder as seconds passed. When the pony finally let up, the electricity died down and a small hole was burned into Mirage's chest, it glowed red hot, but eventually died down into a charred black. "That'll teach you." Cyber said, spitting with extreme accuracy into the burned hole, making Mirage whimper loudly. I was screaming through my gag as the screaming and burning continued, kicking at Cyber Burst and cursing at the other pony. I rocked back in forth in my chains, in attempt to break them, but stopped after a few minutes, knowing it was utterly useless. This continued for ten gruesome minutes, they had stopped after all they could get from her was a cough or a slow whimper. Cyber Burst and the pony were now washing their hooves in our bathroom sink, laughing to themselves about how pitiful we had looked. Eventually, Cyber Burst came back and bidded us farewell, leaving a trail of gasoline behind him in our once peaceful cloud home. Then the fire came. They had lit it from the balcony as they left, it screamed through the house without stopping, lighting it up like a christmas tree. This was the end alright, all that remained of Mirage was a charred mess, her mane was almost completely gone, her tail had been cut short by a blowtorch, leaving only a few inches, her wings were shriveled up at her sides and one of her eyes had been burned through in a nasty scar, leaving only a blackened eye. Her chest looked like foals had played tic-tac-toe on it with a flamethrower, which was pretty close to what had really happened. She was not breathing, not one bit. The fire rose in the room, beginning to lick my back hooves with its flaming tongues, it stayed away from Mirage almost completely, which was a bit of a relief. I closed my eyes, ready to leave the world I once knew. "Aero!" Somepony shouted, "They're in here!" I opened my eyes, revealing a large red and black Alicorn standing before me, he was adorned with royal guard armor. Another pony flew in and stood next to him, she was also adorned with royal guard armor, but she had a light orange coat, accompanied by a darker orange mane and tail. "Grab them, we need to take them to Celestia." The mare said.
Waking UpView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedWaking UpMirage: A searing pain shot through my body, jolting me awake. A putrid smell invaded my nostrils just as I awoke, the beautiful room I was sleeping in had been filled with the stench of vomit. I looked around for the source of the smell, wanting it to leave immediately. Then the memories came flooding back in. Cyber Burst, his accomplice... the blowtorch... Spitfire, Vinyl and Octavia, being tortured in my own home. I carefully ran a hoof over my left eyelid, the eye was open, and I could see out of it. I hadn't lost it! My hooves traced my body, finding absolutely zero burn marks. I almost jumped for joy, but my hoof ran through my mane. It had been dramatically shortened, which brought a frown to my face. I checked my tail too, it had also been shortened. Hell, it barely covered up my... parts. There was no doubt in my mind that I would have to keep my tail lowered, usually it had just hung down a hid my marehood from sight, but now I would actually have to keep it down myself. I finally spotted a familiar orange wonderbolt through an opened bathroom door, emptying her stomach into a pristine-looking bathtub. "Spitfire?" I asked. "Are you alright?" The mare's eye shot back to me, they had drastically changed, now being unmistakably dull. "I- I'm-" She turned back around, puking into the tub again. I threw the covers off of me and stepped down onto the tile floor in a hurry, immediately collapsing when my hooves touched. I flapped my wings, sending needles into my spine and having to drop myself back down. It felt like my very bones shuddered when I tried to move. "Don't... stop!" Spitfire said, trying to turn back to me. The door to the room swung opened, revealing Princess Luna and a large green stallion. "Stop! don't move!" Luna shouted, lifting me into the air and placing me back onto the bed. "But... Spitfire..." I mumbled, It felt like I needed more sleep, but I wanted to know what was wrong with Spitfire first. "You aren't healed yet!" the stallion said, rushing to my side and jabbing me with a syringe. I could immediately feel its effects, my vision warped and my stomach did a backflip, now I felt like I was going to be sick. "But... what...?" I heard myself say, I was confused. My body seemed to look fine. "Your outside is fine, your inside is terrible though." Luna said, Was I thinking out loud? "Something's wrong Princess, her body seems to be electrically charged..." The stallion said, holding some kind of medical tool above my body that crackled when it got close to my body. Something shook the room, rather violently. "How did she...?" I woke up again, Spitfire was laying next to me now, her mane was a mess and she was an odd shade of green. She must have caught some kind of sickness. I tapped her shoulder gently. Her eyes shot opened, the were both bloodshot and glazed over with tears. I studied the rest of her face, there were large lines under her eyes, making her fur darker. Tear lines, she had been crying... a lot. I noticed the orange in her eyes had almost completely disappeared, replace by a dark red. "Are you alright?" I asked, running my hoof through her mane. She latched onto me and pulled me close, my head was under her chin and our legs were around each others bodies, letting me feel the coolness of her body. "Spitfire... you're freezing." I said sympathetically, rubbing against her in attempt to warm her up. "I didn't want to wake you up." She sobbed into my shortened mane. "You know I wouldn't have cared, babe." I said, nuzzling her neck. She continued to cry, eventually soaking my mane with her tears. Her body was warming up now. "C'mon, you're okay." I said sweetly. "Stop crying..." "I'm so sorry, I should have fought back..." She sobbed. "No, you couldn't." I cooed. "It's all okay now..." "But... you were in so much pain..." "Spitfire, I'm fine." I tried. "But-" I jerked out from under her head and kissed her, cutting her off before she could blame herself anymore. She broke the kiss, "No, stop... I-" I kissed her again, holding her head so she couldn't wriggle away again. I felt something wet hit my muzzle, opening my eyes, I realized it was her tears. "I love you Spitfire, don't blame yourself for something you couldn't stop." I said, pulling her back into the same position we were in before. I really did like being the smaller of us, I loved having my head under hers, it was so comfortable. "I love you too." She said. I laid there for almost two hours with her, fighting sleep for myself until she achieved it. When I finally heard her soft snoring, I let myself fall into a deep sleep. When I woke up again the moon was shining through an opened window, my eyes craved a look at the bright beauty but my instincts told me otherwise, I knew it would just come back to... bite me. I rolled away from its shimmering light to find the warmth of my marefriend, which had been replace by a cold sheet and pillow. skit skit skit "Spitfire?" I asked into the darkness of the room. I could feel my heart rate increase when I saw Spitfire in the corner of the room, eyes a glowing blood red and a dull orange coat. "Spitfire... what's wrong?" I said, seeing her eyes narrow. "hngr..." she said inaudibly, "What?" I said, getting out of bed and cautiously moving closer. "hungr..." she whispered. "Speak up." I said, getting within reaching distance of the mare. "Hungry." The mare said louder. Before my mind could react, she was on top of me, swinging at me with her hooves and snapping her teeth at me. I saw the fangs, they had replaced the incisor teeth with what looked like teeth from a sawblade. I bucked my back hooves and threw her over me. right through the opened window. I had just thrown my marefriend out a window. I huffed and puffed, trying to slow my erratic breathing. When I finally calmed down, I rushed over to the window to see where she had gone. When I looked over the side, I saw where we were, one of the rooms in the Canterlot Castle. It was at least two or three hundred hooves down, even then you would hit another roof and fall even further. Spitfire wasn't here- I felt something grab my mane, seconds later I had been ripped through the window and thrown onto the cone shaped roof, right next to my bloodthirsty marefriend. She hissed at me and rushed up the side of the roof towards the top. I had to follow her, somehow. She could get killed, or worse. I tried to move like she had but my hooves slipped and I was thrown over the side, making me hold onto the gutter to keep from falling off the side. Everytime I tried to get any kind of leverage my hooves would slip again, hooves wouldn't waork for this, not for me at least... I needed... paws. I whipped my body around facing the moon and staring at it without looking away, I could feel my body muscles moving and expanding every second that passed, I could feel my muzzle extend and my eyes change so I could see anything like daytime, it is a tremendous feeling to transform, but it does kind of hurt the first time. This was only my second, so I had almost zero control over my new body. But I could see everything that happened. I let go of the gutter and dug my claws into the side of the castle, rearing back and launching myself onto the roof and quickly get to the top. I looked out on the rest of Canterlot, so peaceful and quiet. Then I let out a demonic howl. Several lights turned on in the city and ponies crowded the streets within minutes. I loved the feeling of their terror and confusion. But that wasn't what I was after, it was Spitfire. I looked around and felt a smile creep onto my face when I saw Spitfire scaling a wall a few stories down, she was clearly trying to get to the ground. She had agility, but I had power. A plan was drawn in my head so quickly I could barely control my actions. I planted my back legs on the side of the tower firmly and launched myself off of it with extreme precision and intense power. I held me paws out in front of me and smashed Spitfire into the wall she had latched onto, breaking all of the rock around her and crumbling a little bit off of the tower. With a quick spin I rocketed her body through a window in another tower, putting her in somepony elses room. I covered my chest with my perfectly toned arms in an X motion , diving into the window that Spitfire had gone through and ripping them opened when I got in front of her again, smashing her through the wall opposite of the window. I went to jump through it after her but hesitated, she was taking a one way trip to the ground, and that would surely cause death. I backed up to the window again, planting all four of my paws down in a ready motion, I heard a squeak from my side, I looked towards the owner and saw and orange mare and that green pony that had came in with Luna earlier, both wide eyed and hugging each other with fear. "Sorry about the damage." I said, my voice was scratchy and rough, almost evil. I got back onto my topic, springing off of my legs and diving through the new holle I had created. Air rushed past me as I went towards an unconscious Spitfire, catching up to her even faster than I had expected. I tried to find any damage that I had done to her but found nothing, I guessed her body was quite resilient of my attacks. I finally grabbed her and had just enough time to tuck her in close to me before we smashed into the ground, spraying dirt and grass everywhere. We rolled about another sixty yards before we stopped. I immediately uncurled myself. letting Spitfire drop to my side. I looked around in amazement, I didn't know my body was so strong! I looked to the side opposite of where Spitfire was, where I saw a large body of water, glistening in the moons rays. "Really?" I said out loud, I would have much rather landed in that. I looked back to the castle, where Princess Luna and Celestia were flying from with about a dozen royal guards. It was going to be a long trip back.

"Transformation" Mirage had followed me and ended up almost destroying the castle trying to catch up with me. I do remember just before I changed and a few moments in the middle of it. I definitely remember being launched out of a window by a giant dog and plummeting towards the earth. But then I remember landing enclosed within a barrier of muscle and fur. Luckily for me, my body had been extremely resilient of any large blows from Mirage, saving my body from an excessive amount of broken bones. But I still had major bruises on my chest that sent a searing pain up my spine from the lightest touch. "Darling, are you alright?" Rarity asked, taking me away from my thoughts. I looked up to her and the Element of Magic that stood by her side. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said, granted I was worried about myself, but more to Mirage, she had taken numerous beatings in the past week. Ever since we had started dating... Was it my fault? Did all of this happen because of me? I asked myself. Does Mirage think that? I felt my eyes begin to glaze over with tears. She probably hated me for what I had done for her. I wished I had never said yes in the first place. Everything that had ever happened to her was my fault. The rest of the Wonderbolts were arriving as well, Soarin had sat down by my side immediately after he saw me. "Hey Spitfire..." He began, I could hear the pain in his voice, she was his friend too, and I had done all of this to her, hurting him as well. "I'm sorry Soarin." I said. "About what?" He said, putting his arm around my shoulder. "I practically killed Mirage in the past week!" I heard myself yell. Soarin backed up and stood up. "Spitfire, you cant-" "Don't tell me what I can't do!" I shouted at him. Letting the tears flow. "No." He said, "I'm not letting you do this to yourself." "It was my fault!!!" I screamed. "No it wasn't!" Soarin yelled back. I ran. I couldn't yell at my friend like that. I headed for Mirage's room like a bolt of lightning I had to see her. I was by her side in seconds. She was awake and surprised to see me run into her room with tears in my eyes. "Spitfire, what's wrong?" She asked hurriedly. "I'm sorry!" I sobbed into her pillow. "Sorry?" Mirage asked. "I keep hurting you!" I weeped. I heard her chuckle, then burst out laughing. I brought up my head and looked at the laughing mare. "Aren't you angry?" I asked with a sniffle. "Why would I be angry?" She asked. "But-" "Spitfire, I haven't had things like this happen to me, like, ever!" She said. "Is that supposed to make me feel better?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "I haven't felt this alive in my entire life!" Mirage said with enthusiasm. "Wha? Really?" I asked. "Really." She held me for at least twenty minutes before we heard commotion from the other room. I let Mirage stay in bed and I went to see what was going on. "Take those off! This isn't some kind of funeral!" I heard Soarin shout. I watched as Soarin argued with two hooded Wonderbolts, telling them to take them off. "But sir..." "Now!" He said, ripping one of them off himself. A gasp echoed throughout the room, I found out it was only mine and Soarin's voices. That face... The two ponies that had started all of this stood in front of Soarin, the two ponies that had hurt Mirage. "Get them!!!" Soarin shouted. The two were out one of the castle windows within a second. I sprinted towards it and spread my wings to jump, but was immediately directed to the floor from the amount of pain it delivered. Soarin jumped onto the window sill and looked for them. crackle crackle... "It was them!" I shouted. crackle crackle... "I know..." Soarin said. "Follow them!" I yelled. crackle crackle Most of the Wonderbolts spread their wings, ready for flight. "Stop, they're already too far away." Soarin said. "But-" "I'm sorry Spitfire." Crackle Crackle "What is that?!" Soarin shouted, turning to find the source of the annoying sound. "Gaia! Shut that damn thing off!" I heard one of the ponies that had saved us said, the orange pegasus mare snatched away a small device away from a forest green stallion, poking at it furiously with her hoof. "You can't shut it off, stupid." He said, then covering his mouth with his hoof and blushing, "Sorry, sweety." The orange mare didn't even seem to hear his insult. I found myself by the mare's side. "What is it?" I asked the stallion. "An electrical meter." He said, I used it to test your marefriend yesterday. "But I don't know why its going off now." I knew. I turned to Mirage's room entrance, seeing a purple glow coming from under the door. "Oh no..." I muttered, running to the door and trying to open it. Locked, figures. I slammed my body into the side and screamed out in pain. The bruises wouldn't let me to get in alone. "Allow me, miss." The other Alicorn that had saved us said, smashing into the door and throwing it off of its hinges like it was nothing. Mirage wasn't there when we got in, only an opened window remained. Mirage: I knew who they were the moment I heard his voice. I remember what happened like it was yesterday, I kept track of the voices in my head, waiting for them to appear again, I knew I would hear them again someday. That was why I didn't go after them. Now was the time for me to finish what they started, I wanted to make sure they would regret what they did to me. Neither of them knew I was trailing them until an explosion rocked through the sides of my body, blasting bursts of electricity in a circular motion around me. I had broken the sound barrier, and they were very scared. Both of them turned their head simultaneously, watching me grow hundreds of hooves closer every second. I swear my wings went into overdrive and doubled my speed, letting me catch up much quicker. Oh, and look. They are going to try to lose me in the Everfree Forest. They both dive bombed towards the forest, disappearing into the leaves below. With one quick motion I lost no speed and cascaded towards the forest with a new trail of purple electricity trailing my tail. My body reacted before my brain knew what I was doing, zipping around trees and still following the two with extreme precision. The trees themselves bended when I passed them, If it would have been The Running of The Leaves all of the leaves would have disintegrated beneath me for sure, I was never much of a bragger, but I was going faster than I ever had before, maybe faster than anypony ever had. I caught the first one's tail and jerked him to the side, running him into a tree to stop him. The other I caught within seconds, grabbing him by the back of the neck and dragging him back to the other as he thrashed around and begged and apologized. I threw him to the ground and pulled his broken friend out of the tree I had ran him into, pushing him down next to his friend. I stared at the shaking ponies as they tried to beg for mercy. I didn't want them to die, I wanted them to suffer, like I did. "So you don't run." I said, placing my hooves gingerly on one of their wings. Electricity left my body like a dam shattering and letting the water out. They both screamed in pain and kept begging me to stop, swinging at me with their hooves. I finally let go and smiled at the seared wings and tear filled eyes. "Oh, come on." I said, placing a hoof on the main one's tender spot. "Be tough." Again I shocked him like a supercharged defibrillator, so he couldn't be pleased or please ever again. After I smelled a barbecue I changed to his friend, doing the same thing. Now they were both crying uncontrollably and trying to walk off, that's what Wonderbolts did after all, walk it off. I sent a beam into both of their backs, sending them back into the ground. "How many have you done that to?" I asked. After neither of them answered, I whipped both of them with an electrical rope. "Tell me." I said. "Fourteen!" One of them yelled in pain. I was taken aback by the large number, then returned to what I was doing. I lifted two small rocks up and jammed one in each of their mouths, holding their muzzles shut so they couldn't spit them out. "Swallow." I said. After both of them swallowed I smiled, "Good, only thirteen more to go." I had finally finished the eating part of their punishment, they had each eaten two rocks, a frog, three dead fish, a hoof full of mud, four pieces of bark and three of their friends teeth, which I had knocked out myself. "Please... stop." One said. "I asked you the same thing." I said, "Did you?" Both of them sighed and nodded their heads no. "Exactly." I said, pulling the last of my electrical energy from my body and pushing it into the ground in between them. I flapped my wings and pulled myself into the air, looking towards Canterlot and flying in its direction slowly. "Where are you going?!" One yelled. "Home." Then one stepped on an electrical landmine.
EpilogueView OnlineA Lightning Storm: RebootedEpiloguePrincess Celestia: After Mirage returned she wouldn't speak of what she had done, although I knew they wouldn't be returning very soon. She had been gone for thirty minutes. In that time I was informed of Cyber Burst's location from Princess Luna, who was just as angry with him as I was, Blackblood arrived with the rest of the Supernaturals shortly after the Wonderbolts left, the Elements Of Harmony stayed, trying to find out how they could help about Cyber Burst. Apparently somepony named Zecora knew of his recent locations, she had been visited by him and had to fight him off. She was unharmed. The two ponies that had saved us had agreed to help out with Cyber Burst as well, along with the orange mare's coltfriend. Vinyl and Octavia had also been with the rest of the Supernaturals, they had also been rescued by Aero and Night Flash also. I don't know what is to come of this battle, but I know it will not end well. Spitfire is very uneasy around her new team, being a Silver Sword for so long had taken a toll on her opinion of the Supernaturals. I suppose she will get to know them, with the help of her marefriend of course. Twilight is worried that it will take a toll on us, and I am almost certain it will, but we have overcome many times, My sister, Discord and The Changelings have all tested the Elements in the most evil of ways. But we have always come out on top. We must do this again.

I inhaled and exhaled quickly as I looked over the giant mess I’d made, that’s when the door opened. I was too tired to look over at who had walked in, it was a stallion, I first thought it was Soarin or maybe even my father coming to comfort me but it was far worse than anything I could have ever imagined. “Hello Mirage” the stallion said, it wasn’t Soarin nor was it my father, I looked up and noticed a bruise on the side of the stallions face, it was the stallion from this morning, the stallion that Spitfire had punched, the stallion who stood next to me in the showers, he was with his friend, the stallion on the other side of me in the showers. “What do you two want?” I asked, “Nothing much” the bruised one said, “Why are you here then?” I asked, my heart rate started to increase, “We want you” the other said, At that moment the bruised one leaped on top of me, pinning me down to the ground on my back, the other secured a gag on my mouth and tied my front hooves down, disabling speech and movement. “Now then, we’re going to have some fun with you” the bruised one said, getting off of me, I eyed the two in panic, what did they want? What were they going to do? How long had they been planning this? The pressure on my burnt wing was excruciating, I couldn’t scream for help or speak, so I sobbed quietly, The bruised one bent down and grabbed my knees on my back legs, trying to pry them opened, I knew what he was trying to get to and I wouldn’t let him, He reached over me and slapped me, hard. “yvm htf ligh ah bizgh” I said, Translation: “You hit like a bitch” “I’m sorry sweetie I can’t understand you” he said with a grin, “shmmih?! Fghk yvu!” I screamed, Translation: “Sweetie?!
