Unlimited Power
The Gala
Load Full StoryNext Chapter"Come on, Spike, it's time to wake up!"
"Uhhh. Just five 5 more minutes? Please?" Spike groaned.
It was the day of the Grand galloping gala, and Twilight Sparkle's schedule had been packed full of last minute work to get everything ready.
"Spike, you know how important this is to me. It's been years since Prince Anon visited, and since he's going to the gala, I want everything to be great! Plus, he's finally settling down and living here!"
"Okay. I'll get up. Just gimme a second."
Why does Twilight need to wake me up at 5 am? The sun isn't even up yet.
Although he had thick scales and was immune to most effects of the weather, Spike couldn't help but shudder at how cold the room was. Turning to his bedside table, he grabbed a bowl of gems he had left out and popped a couple in his mouth.
"Hey, TwiIight, who ish thish Pwinsh Anon? I don't fink I've ever met him."
"WHAAAAAT?! How have you not! He's only like, the best person in Equestria!"
"Really? Then how come I never hear anything about him?"
"Well, it's a really long story. I'm pretty sure I can take a minute away from the preparations to tell you. So, around the time in which Cadence was a little filly, Princess Celestia and Cadance were having dinner, when suddenly, a portal opened, and Anon fell onto the dinner table!"
"That seems kinda weird." Spike nodded, as he crunched on his gems.
"I know! CRAZY, right?! So, anyway, because Anon was a human, she adopted him as her nephew and taught him how to use magic. But, this is where it gets really cool. Anon is not from this planet, which means that his body doesn't have a way to store and use the magical field that surrounds Equestria. For us unicorns, our horn processes the magic and allows us to use it. For pegasi, they have wings, which is another way to process the magic. For earth ponies, the magic is put into their muscles. But Anon's body is unable to limit the amount of magic pouring it, so it makes him REALLY strong. He's also really smart and really fast because the magic running through his brain reduces his reaction time. Another really cool thing he can do is channel magical energy into SUPER powerful energy blasts, and he can absorb it too. So, anyway. About the same time as she crowned Cadence as the Princess of love, she crowned Anon as a Prince too. After a while, he kinda left and sparsely visited, but now, that's gonna change, because he's gonna live here in Canterlot!" Twilight giggled while smiling the widest smile Spike had ever seen her make.
“Okay... So... Wait, what?”
"Nevermind. Well, I'd better get back to work. I really hope you're going to meet him! You'll really like him!"
“Huh, I dunno. He sounds kinda weird to me. I mean, what is he even a prince of? Plus, he’s an alien, so-blghrf!” Spike was interrupted as Twilight stuffed her hoof into his mouth.
“Spike, do we need to have another FRIENDSHIP LESSON?!” Twilight asked, her menacing tone apparent.
"Um, no. Is there anything you need help with? I'll just get going. " Spike asked, setting down the bowl of gems and backing away towards the door.
"No, but I'll let you know if I do. Thank's for asking, though!" As Spike fled from Twilight’s presence, she sighed. What are you going to become if you’re like this, Spike? She asked herself, concerned with her little brothers future. As she turned back to her work, she sighed once again, this time at the titanic list of things she had to do.
“I’m gonna need a lot of coffee.”

8 PM
After hours of setting up decorations, putting in food orders, and running across the castle with hyperactivity that rivaled Pinkie's, Twilight was finally done with the preparations, and was now standing in front of the Gala entrance, assisting Princess Celestia with greeting the guests. They were both wearing expensive silk dresses, Twilight's an ensemble of white and gold, and Celestia's being shades of scarlet red and yellow.
"Thank You so much for helping out with the preparations, Twilight." Today, like whenever she was in public, her Princess mask was up, and she was flaunting an impeccable smile.
"Absolutely no problem. I'd love to help out anytime. I'm just so excited to finally see Anon again. It's really been so long." Twilight quickly canceled any negative thoughts that came to her mind. It doesn't matter what's happened. What I should really focus on is that he's going to be here now. The Princess said that he would finally be done with his adventures..
"It has been very long. However, although his return to Equestria is for the best, I'm concerned as to how my little ponies would react to him. As you know, they can be very cruel sometimes, and that is not their nature."
Twilight frowned.
"Who would be mean to Anon? The last time I checked, everyone I knew thought he was nice."
"You see, Twilight, that's exactly the problem. You don't happen to have any colt friends, do you?"
"Well yes, but not people who know him."
"You might now want to year this, but when Anon was in magic school, he was bullied."
"I thought we all knew that."
"It's not that it's that he was bullied by-"
"AUNTY!!!"
Prince Blueblood's horribly annoying voice pierced their ears, nearly causing them to bleed.
"Yes, Blueblood? What is it?" Celestia said with a sharp, annoyed tone.
"Cousin Cadence and her husband are here. They tried conversing with me. You know I can't stand them."
“Was it blueblood? I swear, when I’m done with him-“
“No, Twilight. I’ll talk to you later. At the moment, we have more pressing matters to attend to.” Both of them kept their voices down, as to prevent one of Blueblood’s dreaded temper tantrums.
"Very well, Blueblood. I will go speak with them." Celestia trotted over to the pair, glad to have escaped from Blueblood's clutches.
"Cadence! Shining Armor! I've missed you so much! Come here and give me a hug! How have you been?"
"Hi, Aunty. I'm doing O.K. Now that flurry's calmed down a bit during the night, I've been getting a lot more sleep lately."
Cadence tried to wiggle out from Celestia's rib-cracking bear hug, but was majorly unsuccessful.
After Cadence managed to escape, she noticed Twilight standing beside Celestia, and started their demonic chant:
Sunshine, Sunshine
Ladybugs Awake
Clap your hooves and do a little shake
Both Mares giggled at the completion of their Ritual, and embraced.
"Hey, Twily!" Shining Armor was dressed for the occasion, wearing his royal guard uniform.
"Hey, BBBFF. Ready for the best night of the year?"
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it."
"Well, why don't you three head inside? Twilight, your friends are waiting for you. I'll finish up greeting these guests and then we can proceed with the Gala!"
Celestia's princess mask was back on, but she was still unable to contain her excitement.
"Oh my, look at me, giddy like a little filly! Why hello Fancy Pants, Fleur de Lis! Welcome to the Gala!"
As Twilight, Cadence, and Shining trotted towards the middle of the hall, they walked by Applejack's stand, eliciting a small conversation from her.
"Oh, Hah there Twalight! How's it goin'?"
"Good so far, Applejack. But I have a feeling it can only get better from here. As you probably know, Prince Anon is going to start living in Canterlot, and this is gonna be his first stop!" The sudden mention of Anon's name caused Cadence's pupils to increase in size, and a deep blush spread across her cheeks. She looked at Shining, who seemed just as shocked as she was.
"A-are you sure, Twilight? Is he really going to be here?" Cadence stuttered.
"Yes! I'm so excited! Are you excited? You two were really good friends, weren't you?"
"Well, I guess so. It's just been a really long time since we last saw each other, and I don't quite know how we can relate."
"That's okay. I'm pretty sure you'll get along just fine. Right, Shining?"
"Anon? That guy? Suuuure." He says sarcastically, getting a dirty look from Cadence but no reaction from Twilight.
"YES! It's gonna be so cool to see you guys getting along! Come on, let's go! There's a play! Flurry'l like this! By the way, where is flurry?"
"Oh, since Shiny and I have had so little time together, we decided to leave her with a babysitter. I'm sure everything is going just fine."
"Yeaaaaah. Okay." Twilight says, remembering the time when she had to babysit the baby alicorn.
"Anyway, as you were saying about the play?"
"Yeah! It's right over here!"
The Royal Palace Gate
Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! You think to yourself, sitting in the back of a pegasi-drawn carriage.
"Driver! Can't this infernal thing go any faster? I'm already late, you know?" You ask the armor-clad royal guards, who are clearly struggling to carry the combined weight of the carriage and your body.
"I'm afraid not, your majesty. It appears that you weighed more than we anticipated."
"Are you calling me fat, Boy?" You say in your deepest voice, imitating yours truly.
"No! Of course not, your majesty! I was simply referring to your, your, uhh... Armor! and... Muscles!"
At this point, the guard was shaking before your mighty form, and you swore you could see a wet line running down his white leg.
And by god, you were mighty. As a ~6-foot tall human, you were taller than anypony, even the Princesses, the tallest of which only came up to your chest. Surrounding your bones, there was an extremely thick layer of muscle that put even the strongest bodybuilders to shame. Covering your lower body was a thin layer of the finest armor in Equestria, and your chest was left exposed. Since the weather had close to no effect on you, you decided to leave it bare, so you had more mobility in combat.
"Good. Now haul ass and get me to the palace!" You say while the Pegasi continue to struggle under your weight.
15 Minutes later
"Thank's for the ride!" As you exit the carriage, the Pegasi collapse to the floor, many passing out from their labors.
"Y-You're welcome, your Majesty." The guard who pissed himself says, struggling to raise his hoof in a salute.
Once you've gathered your trusty duffel bag, and slung your weapons holster over your shoulder, you begin your run towards the castle.
Since it's fairly late, the streets are empty, which allows you to utilize your speed to full capacity. Within 30 seconds, you're at the castle gate, and after passing some guards and following the long line of guests, you come across the Gala entrance.
It seems that they've already started. You think as you make your way to the front of the line, attracting the attention of many mares due to your exposed chest and muscular figure, much to the displeasure of their husbands.
When you travel up the steps, you see Celestia and another smaller blue-maned alicorn mare, greeting what remains of the guests. When you approach closer, their attention shifts towards you, the blue alicorn taking an interest in your body, her eyes feasting upon your form.
"Oh, my..." She mutters under her breath, quiet enough to avoid detection from her sister, but loud enough to unintentionally reveal itself to your hearing, which has improved itself greatly over the years.
So that's Luna. Thought she'd be bigger. And less horny, but I guess that's what 1000 years on the moon does to a person. You think to yourself. Although you've been absent for most of the past decade, you've kept up with at least some current events, and recalling old knowledge from Equestrian history class, you remember that she was slightly stronger than Celestia, at least enough to force her to use the elements of harmony on her.
"Anon! Welcome home!" You hear Celestia exclaim enthusiastically, flapping her massive wings and unleashing her full hugging power upon you.
"Thanks!" You reply, your voice muffled and your face full of her fur. Luckily, you're able to withstand her strength due to your nigh-invulnerable skin and bones, and you gladly return the hug, stroking the back of her neck while relishing in her soft, velvety fur.
"It appears that thou art the coveted Prince Anon that Twilight Sparkle constantly spouts about. It is good to finally introduce ourselves. Apparently, thy hugs rival those in the strength and grip of our sister. We must have a taste!" She advances towards you, and brings you into a hug, not quite as potent as that of Celestia, but still strong nonetheless.
Okay. This is getting weird. Why did she say she wanted to taste me?
"Make sure to watch out for those abdominal muscles of his, it appears that he's accumulated quite a bit of brawn." Celestia chuckles, nuzzling your chiseled abs before stepping away and allowing Luna to continue her embrace.
After a couple seconds of comfortability, she relents and returns back onto her four hooves.
"So, uh... How about we go inside and meet Twilight? I heard she'd be here."
"Of course! Originally, I was waiting for you to arrive before we went inside, so I'll just delegate the rest of these guests to my assistant. Raven! Where are you? I have a job for you!" A small mare with a white coat and brown hair tied into a bun appears and takes Celestia's place.
As you enter the hall, it is mostly empty, the reason being that there is a play taking place in the gardens. Away from the prying eyes of the public, Celestia's obsessive side takes over, and she starts stressing over your condition.
"Are you hungry, dear? When have you last eaten? Oh, where is your shirt? You must be so cold. Let me get one for you!"
"I'm doing fine, Celly. Seriously. I'm just tired." You reply.
"Okay. I was just so worried about you! It's been over 6 months, and you couldn't send a single letter?"
"I was in the dragon lands, Celly. There isn't any postal service out there." You reply.
"Smartass. " She mutters. "Luna, show Anon his room, please." She turns to you. "When you're done washing up, I'll be with Twilight and Cadence, okay? We'll be over in the gardens watching the play."
She walks off, and then she stops and looks around to see if anyone is watching. Sneakily, she grabs a slice of cake in her magic and pops it in her mouth, and you can't help but smile, recalling the fact that she has a nigh unquenchable sweet tooth.
"Ahem!" You hear someone behind you clear their throat.
"Allow me to lead you to thy chambers. Tis quite a walk, I suggest we start now."
"Oh, I'm sure that it won't be too much of a problem. It's been quite a while since I've been here as you know, and I don't mind taking some time exploring."
"Besides, we would most enjoy becoming more acquainted with thou." She giggles, holding a hoof to her mouth.
"Indeed. Why don't you lead the way? As you said, it's best that we start now."
You follow Luna out of the hall, and into a tall, winding staircase, the sounds of the Gala slowly becoming less and less.
