YOU'RE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE

"Alright, stay behind us. We do not know what's around the next corner." Mitchell, Sam and Teal'C were leading the group, since they were the ones that were armed. In their casual military fashion they went from corner to corner and from one corridor into the other.

The pink walls and the bright, cheerful radiation of the castle's insides didn't exactly call for danger or hostility, but they knew better. Looks could be deceiving.

"I told you, we'd need them guns, I told you so", Cam bragged while he looked around the next corner.

Daniel stood behind him and put the blame on him, "And you're happy about that?"

"Not in the slightest."

They made their next move and snuck down the next long, pink corridor. Different than the others so far, this one had some armor displayed alongside its way, on the opposite wall of the windows.

Vala stopped in front of some of the steel plate armor and looked at it from a weird angle.

"Don't you think the shape is weird?"

Rodney was concerned, "Why, what's wrong with it?"

"Looks like horse armor", O'Neill observed, "Nothing wrong with that."

Daniel stopped by as well, "Except that I never saw a full body armor for a horse that small before."

"Maybe they just love their little horses", Jack looked at his old friend with tired eyes.

"Weird enough they even have those", Vala claimed.

"Why is that?", Daniel asked her slightly cynical.

"She means", Rodney shouted, "That you would not expect to find horses on another planet."

Teal'C disagreed calmly, "Planet of the Apes had horses."

"But that was earth too. It was the same planet", Rodney ever so arrogantly corrected.

"Was it?", Jack asked, "I never understood that movie."

They moved along while Vala stayed for a few more seconds. "Even for a horse that's some weird shape."

The next door they saw was a high gate to a wide and great hall, made from blue, icy crystals. In its center they found a wide, round table of similar blue nature and cutting edges, surrounded by a couple of thrones.

"Daniel", Mitchell asked, "Does this look somewhat familiar to you?"

"Looks like the Round of Camelot. But more ..."

"Cheerful?"

"That's one way to put it."

They got startled and took a step back when a young voice echoed through the hall. "Oh, no. It's not here? Come on!"

A purple creature walked in and around the thrones, before it suddenly disappeared in a pink, sparkly flash.

The flash returned by the gate and with it the creature. "I guess that means, it's in the kitch-", when Twilight looked straight ahead, she saw the bunch of Humans in her gateway and dropped her words plus jaw, "-en?"
The look on her face was surprised and scared at first, not knowing those Humans and what they were doing here.

Mitchell noticed she was gasping and he was afraid she could scream out loud, "No-no-no, no! Don't! We're friendly. Don't be afraid. Please?"

"What? I mean, what? Who are you? And why ..."

"Why we are?", Vala asked.

"Why are you here? What are you doing here?" In a sparkly flash she disappeared and put some distance between her and the intruders. She returned by the thrones, with her dangerous horn pointing at them. Her wings spread out in excitement and she showed off her tall Alicorn nature.

The creature was a weird sight for the intruders. She looked somewhat equine, but she was purple and small. Her head was huge and her eyes even more so. Her face looked somewhat Human, in a strange, alien way. Her hair was long and looked treated, shiny and healthy. Obviously she had powers and was intelligent. She was talking. And more so, she was talking their language.
This was no animal, no, this was the landlord.

The Humans reached their hands out, holding them spread in a defensive fashion. "Wow!", Mitchell applied to her, "We're no enemies. Don't do whatever you want to do, alright?"

"We're lost!", Daniel yelled. "We came out of your Mirror and can't find our way back."

"My Mirror?", Twilight calmed and broke up her furious gaze.

"Can you help us?"

Twilight’s eyes jumped back and forth while she was in thought, "Humans. From the Mirror. But that never happened before." She started to turn around and walk around the thrones and table, oblivious about the reality around her.

While she was unreachable, the Humans whispered under the gate.

"You think she will help us?"

"I hope", Daniel answered Mitchell. "If she can teleport, who knows what else she can do."

"Well", Vala was smiling, "At least now the horse armor makes sense."

Suddenly the winged Unicorn was facing the pack, only a step away, "Are you from Canterlot High?"

"Uhm", Mitchell thought about it for a second, "No. What is that?"

Again she looked away, mumbling to herself. "But that is impossible. It never worked. And the book." She took a few steps and mindlessly walked off. "It's set to Canterlot High. It cannot be. It's impossible!" She turned to the Humans, "You! Are impossible!"

Mitchell raised his palm towards her, "Wow, Lady."

"Lady?", Daniel asked him.

But Vala passed them, "Let me try, boys." She walked up to the little Pony and sat down in front of it. She smiled while she chew her gum, "Hi there. I'm Vala. What's your name?"

"Oh, sure! Yes. I'm Twilight Sparkle. And you shouldn't be here."

Vala pressed her lips together, "No kidding." She turned and pointed at her gang, "This is Mitchell, Daniel, Sam, Teal'C, Rodney and Jack."

"It's O'Neill. With two Ells."

"Yeah and can we settle on Doctor McKay? I'd prefer that."

Sam looked at him, "Really?"

"What? I worked for that."

Vala looked back at Twilight, "Sweetie, do you live here?"

Twilight looked up and around the hall, "Why, yes. Yes, I do. Though not in this hall exactly. The castle is quite big."

She started to trot on and past Vala, "Now, let's have a look at that Mirror." She stopped in front of the pack in the gate. She could have teleported past them but prefered for them to make way. It wasn't a practical thing, it was a psychological tool. She was the owner of the Mirror, it was her castle. Unknowingly or not, Twilight was showing them who's boss.

After a moment, the Humans stepped aside and the purple Pony Princess past per trot. She led them back to the library, where the Mirror was the cause of all these problems, supposedly.
