Tree Gelbman.

Tree Gelbman does not have a perfect life, but it's certainly not bad. She's at least barely floating through college, she's at least a little nice to the people around her, she has a few nice friends, she has a nerdish but adorable boyfriend and she's lacking any surprise killers. Sure, there's the occasional mishap where she accidentally walks into a busy road or uses a fork to clean a toaster...but she has her unexplained powers to bring her back to life whenever those happy little accidents happen. Having this ability is...cool, but it's limited to just death stuff and just to her. Which means she can't do anything about the frequently recurring nightmares that sometimes have her crying at night--but that's not so bad.

What's bad is the fact that she can do nothing about the winged horse lying in her bed that can somehow talk.
