This is my first story. Friendly advice concerning plots is welcome.

Joey Steffen has a good life. A girlfriend, lots of friends, loving parents, a cat.... you know, the good stuff. Then, after a series of rather unfortunate events, he finds himself in a strange world. Why? Beats him. Maybe something to do with being persecuted by his own country, as the U.S.A. starts a radical purge of the Christian faith. Getting separated from his parents, things don't look so good.

Then a strange visitor meets him in his dreams, and he finds himself somewhere completely new.

But when he suddenly learns about his mysterious past, everything changes once again. As he learns about his family's mysterious past, he finds that he has unintentionally brought a seemingly unstoppable evil to Equestria. By doing this, it brings up many questions.

Who is he, really? Does his destiny lie with a situation that is out of his hands?

Then there are the ultimate questions: Does he have a bigger role in this strange new world than he realizes? And if so, does it mean sacrificing some of the things you love most?
