Even a princess has feelings

I got up from the bed and made my way to the window in our room. I looked on at the group of ponies down in cantorlot as they roamed the citty streets. Laughing and joking as they walked past. I let out a sigh as I thought about what Tias parents told me in my sleep. I thought all that I went through was enough but now there is some sort of danger waiting to attack cantolot.

"Love what's wrong?" Tia asked as she put blackbell back in her crib. I turned around and saw that she had a worried look. I just walked to her and held her close tightly. She was surprised at first but hugged back. I saw that blackbell was sleeping soundly in her crib as Tia and I hugged.

"Tia..... your parents came and visited me in my dreams.....something bad is gonna happen." I said the last part in a depressed tone.

"What was the danger?" She asked holding me tighter. For some reason it reminded the first time that I met her when I hugged her trying to calm her down. I pulled away from the hug as I looked into her eyes.

" I don't know Tia. They just said something about a great danger coming to equestria mostly this castle. All I care about is keeping blackbell and you safe." I ended the last part with a small smile. She smiled back pulling me into a kiss. just then blackbell made the "Go go gah gah" noises. We broke the kiss as we looked at her chuckling at how she seemed to have responded. I then walked to the crib as I looked down at her.

" Hey blackbell...can you say da da....come on say da da." I said with a smile on my face. She just smiled back moving a little in her crib. Tia was beside me.

" Come on Jerry you know she won't be able to speak at such a young age. She's only a little over a month old." I chuckled at this.

"I know.....it's just what my dad always did for me when I was her age....always trying to make me say da da....well that's what my mom told me anyways." I said with a small smile on my face. It was no longer hard to talk about my parents and brother. In fact it gets easier everytime I talk about it. A little leasson I taught myself.

Tia just gave a small smile as she wrapped one of her wings around me. I gladly accepted wrapping one of my arms around her. Then a thought came to my mind.

"Umm.... Tia...... how long does it take a foal to grow ro be one year old?" I asked.

"180 days why?" She asked confussed.

"Oh nothing really just wondering." I lied. 'Crap this was gonna be one long year.' I thought. I let out a sigh as the thought of there being an attack on the castle went away from my thoughts. That's when blackbell began to cry.

"You're up honey." Tia said kissing my cheek and walking away. I let out a sigh as I picked up blackbell.

"Ok now what's the problem this time blackbell?" I asked with a smile. I then held her like anyother baby. Left arm under her right on her diaper. Right arm wrapped around her to keep her balanced.

"Oh now I think I know. You just ate didn't you?" I asked. I then patted her back gently but repeatedly. After a bit she then let out a cute brup. I chuckled as I put her back down in her crib.

"Did that help?" I asked with a smile. She just smiled and did the usual. "gu gu ga ga." I chuckled as I looked up and saw tia walking over to me.

"You figured her out love?" She asked. I nodded.

"Yes I did....she just ate so she had to burp." Tia giggled and walked over to me as we gave eatchother a quick kiss. That's when hell broke loose.

"ALL GUARDS TO THE COURTYARD WE ARE BEING ATTACKED!!!" I heard Luna yell with her cantorlot voice. My eyes went wide. So this was when the attack was going to happen. I looked at tia who had a worried look on her face blackbell began to cry.

"Tia you stay here and keep her calm. I will have a few guards stay here. I have to go help." I said quickly.

"NO DON'T PLEASE!" She begged.

"Tia I have to if I don't then what chance do they have. For all I know it's discord and that queen. Please let me help. I will be back when it's over I promise.... I love you both." I gave her a kiss and ran off out the door. The battle to protect this castle and the ones I knew and loved had started.
