Even a princess has feelings

(AN: Okay the only reason why I THOUGHT I was gonna scrap this was because I didn't think I would have time and I was EXHAUSTED from doing a lot of work. But now I got and idea. ENJOY!!!!!!)

When I walked in I made my way to a table where a group of guards were. I knew their names since I talked to them before I got on the stage and spoke.

"Hey featherwing, sup Kent." I said as I sat down. They looked at me with surprise.

"Oh hey Jerry didn't expect to see you here." Kent said. Orange fur and short yellow mane.

"Yeah didn't think we would see you here. Why are you here anyways?" Featherwing asked. Green fur and short red mane.

"What? A guy can't go and chat with some friends?" I asked. They looked at each other than back at me.

"Okay....guess it doesn't matter." Kent said.

"HEY!!!!" I heard somepony yell. I turned and saw it was panda. I got up from my seat as she motioned me to come to her. So I did as I walked. I saw that all of the other guards had scared looks on their faces. When I got to her she motioned me to sit beside her so I did.

"Whats up?" I asked. She grinned a little bit.

"Oh nothing...just wanted to ask you about how you could fight is all." I chuckled.

"Not gonna let that go are you?" I asked. She shook her head. "Why are you so interested in fighting me anyways? I mean you have all of these other guards."

"Yeah well none of them can handle against me. Plus the only one is Shining armor. He's the best of the best." I chuckled. "Hey whats so funny?" She asked.

"Well....it's funny because I think I can handle him. I mean he's half my size and looks easy. The only thing i'm worried about is his horn. I mean besides the magic he could use that thing can go right through a tree for all I know."

"Is that so?" I heard a voice behind me say. I turned around and saw it was Shining armor. I looked at panda and she had a scared look on her face. I wondered why.

"Yeah it's true." I said looking back at him. "I mean if you didn't have that horn that could use magic then it could be a fair fight." He smirked.

"All right then.....how about this. Lets go to the training room and do a little one on one just me and you. Okay?" I shrugged.

"Alright then....hey are you gonna have your wife watch? Just asking since I don't think you want her to see me beat you." He seemed to get a little mad at that. I had that thing with people. Get them upset enough to blow a fuse. Then a grin formed on his face.

"Okay...how about we make it interesting. 30 bits to the winner. What you say?" He asked as he extended his hoof. I chuckled.

"Deal. What time?" I asked shaking his hoof.

"Thirty minutes from now training room. Don't be late or the bets off." I let go of his hoof as he turned and walked away. I turned back to face the table as I rested my arms on it. I looked around a little and saw that all the guards had a "What the hell is wrong with you" kind of look on their faces.

"What?" I asked.

"Ohhhh man Jerry, your screwed." Panda said.

"Why am I screwed?"

"Well first of all he's the captain of the guard,second he defeated the changeling queen, and lastly he's better trained than all of us."

"Every fighter has their weakness." I said. I got up and went to my chambers......I mean celestias parents chambers. But once I opened the door I saw Celestia talking to cadence, and cadence did NOT look happy.
"THERE HE IS!!!" She yelled. She stomped right in front of me. I'll be honest once she was right in front of me the way she acted made me want to just turn and walk away. "How dare you fight against my shining?! I mean he never had to fight before and now he does!!" I put a hand up in defense.

"Whoa now listen here. I didn't make the bet he did. Plus he challenged me and I don't back down from a challenge." The next half hour went by between cadence and I arguing back and fourth. When she was done she left me to deal with Celestia. She was nicer and even was....worried.

"Jerry...you have to let him win."
"WHAT!?" I asked aloud.
"Jerry the reason why is because if he loses then the rest of the guards wont respect him AND might not follow him. A warrior only follows their leader if they respect them Jerry." I was a little surprise by this. But even by her request I couldn't say no to the challenge.

"I'm sorry Celestia but......someone told me to always try my best and....never let others push me down and to NEVER back down from a challenge. If I don't fight then I look weak. If I loose I look weak. So I have to do this Celestia i'm sorry." I turned forgetting what I went to the chambers to get. I entered the training room and saw that the whole royal guards was there in a circle. When they saw me I made my way into the middle of the circle. When I looked around I saw Shining Armor ready to fight without his armor.

"Thought it would be easier for you if the armor wasn't in the way!" He yelled over the cheering guards. I just chuckled as I got into fight stance. I cracked my knuckles and neck. Still having the suit on I jumped lightly left and right fist halfway up my chest ready to fight.
"BRING IT!!!!" I yelled.

(AN2: Okay cliffhanger time. Aren't I just the worst? Okay well time for you guys to bet on who's gonna win. I don't know who will win yet so make your bets.
