The Pathfinders New Life

“Matt so how has Pathfinder life being treating you?” Asked my best friend gil as he took a seat next to me at the bar.

“You know the same old same old people still look at me like I'm a monster. And the remnant still are super friendly to me.” I said as I took a swig from the bottle of vodka.

“You know if Vetra hears you talk like that she going be on your ass faster than the Tempest can move.” he joked

Just then I felt two arms wrap around me and then I heard her speak into my ear. “You know you really should talk to me about this. You know I'm here for you.”

“I know I just don't want you to-” she cut me off with a kiss.

“I’m here for you Matt and you know that.” She kissed me again “besides I'll always be with you my love.”

“I'm just glad you're not like the rest. You and Ryder were the only ones that gave me a chance. When you found me in my cryo pod inside of one of the remnants research labs. And yet you're not freaked out by my tail or how tall I am or how ‘scary looking I look’. You thought it was hilarious when I came out cryo and slipped and fell face first onto the floor.”

She chuckled lately “you were really adorable when you were stumbling about trying to talk to us.” She sighed as she laid her forehead on top of mine. “And besides who knew you were such a romantic.”

“If you don't mind asking how did you two get together? The whole ships wondering by now.” Asked Gil as he took a sip from his beer

“Well while we down in one of the remnants volts I might of broken one of my legs when the kett showed up. He didn't waste one second coming to my aid. Fought his entire way through the kett just to get me back to the medical Bay. Even after that he refused to let me be because he thought it was his fault in the first place.” she chuckled lightly

“oh that's why he wouldn't let you out of bed for a week. Still it must have been nice to have him cook for you. Even drack's cooking can't compare to Matt's.” Said Gale

“Thank you for the compliment Gale but I'm not that good.”

“Hey so where do you two plan on going deering your vacation time.” Asked Gale

“Well I would tell you but Matt won't tell me myself. So have no clue.” Said Vetra

I to use sign language to talk Gale “( I told some of the remnant to fix up a small beach side house.)”

“(She going to love it. Just keep she away from sharks she hates them and spiders.)” Gale signed back

“What are you two talking about? you guys know I can't understand that thing you with you hands.” Said Vetra

“I was just asking if he got our ship ready?” I said as Gale toss a pair of keys at me that I caught. “And I think it's about time we get going. Don't you think honey?”

“Oh I should warn you the ship was a bit of a fixer upper but it should work just fine.” Said Gale as me and Vetra got up.

“Don't worry I trust your skills. Oh and tell Jill I said hi.” I said as we walked out the door leaving Gale behind.

Once we were on the ship and put our luggage in the back. “So are you going to tell me where we are going?”

“Nope… but I know you'll love it.” I said as I sat down at the console and started up the ship.

Sam spoke up “ETA 30 minutes till arrival. And the remnant construction drones have completed there assignment.”

“Oh now I'm interested, what is it your planning?”

“That my dear is one secret I will not be telling”

“SAM?”

“I'm sorry Vetra I was told specifically not to tell anyone.”

“Damn it I was really hoping you'd tell me.”

(15 minutes later)

“Are you really sure you don't want to tell me?” Vetra in a slightly seductive voice

“Tempting offer but no you taught me too well to resist.”

“Damn I really thought that would worked.”

BOOM!!!

“Shit what hell was that?!!” I yelled

“Matt that was the system warp drive exploding I advise that you put your your remnant dome over the both of you.” Sam said

“No shit Sherlock!” I yelled as ran over to Vetra and pulled into a tight hug as a rapped my wings around her shielding her as I put the dome up. Suddenly I felt something hit the ship cousin us and the Dome to be sent rocketing forward. We bounced around in side of the Dome me taking all the hits because I was much bigger than her. When I felt the dome stop rolling I dropped the dome. And then blacked out because of the pain.

(POV change Applejack)

It was a clear Sunday afternoon a great day to be bucking apples if I do say so myself. I was minding my own business when horrid sound filled the air. And I saw it some sort of machine falling from the sky and it was burning. As it past straight over head and flu into the everfree forest I had one thought. 'I need to get twilight!’

“Big Mac ah’ll be back ah’m going to get twilight keep applebloom away from whatever that was!” I then booked it like a mad mare to the twilight's castle.

(POV change Vetra)

“Ugh my head, honey you okay?” As I sat up I noticed my lover bleeding profusely from the head, left leg and his wings were definitely broken they were bent in weird ways and torn a little bit. My fears started to rise as his breathing became raggett as if it was giving him pain to breathe. I started to rip off parts of my clothes to use as makeshift bandages. I started up Omni tool to see how bad it was. It was way worst. Major concussion, a punctured lung, and I think it's safe to say I was crying hard as I barred my head into his chest.

After what seemed to forever I started to hear somebody talking not to far away. “Somebody help!!” I yelled out to whoever it was.

(POV change Twilight)

“Applejack are you sure you saw it fall over here?”

“Ah'm sure twilight. Whatever that thing was it was massive. And ah’d hope-”

“SOMEBODY HELP!!!” somepony screamed

When we made it we saw two creatures, one looked like a mix between a wolf and a dragon and had some bandages that was covered in blood.

While the other one looked like it's face was made of bone and had tears running down the side of its face. It lad it's forehead on top of the other ones chest.

Suddenly we heard a branch snap behind us. Me and Applejack turned around to see Fluttershy standing there.

(POV change Vetra)

I quickly sat up and looked around for someone. “Is someone there? Please help me, my boyfriend is dying please help.” I started breakdown as Matt started coughing up blood.

“Um excuse me are you okay miss?” I looked up to see to another new species she looked to be a mix of a human and a horse.

“N-no my boyfriend is going to die please is there a Hospital near by?!”

“Oh my yes there is please come.” I picked up Matt and started to follow her.

When we got there nobody would help they just stood there staring at us. And I might of lost it. “STOP STARING AND HELP US!” After my little outburst a couple of doctors came out with a Gurnee and I gently put Matt down. “He got a punctured lung and Major concussion. You've got 30 minutes before his body ignites and tries to stop you.” They nodded before running off.

“Excuse me miss if you'd like you can watch the surgery from that room. and one last thing, do you mind filling this out.” A nurse said as she handed me a clipboard.

I turned around to the person who helped me. “Thank you for helping me out. You have no idea how much this means to me.”

“Oh no it's fine you needed help and I couldn't just stand there and do nothing. Do you mind if I ask your name. If you don't mind me asking.”

“I don't mind at all the names Vetra and my boyfriends name is Matt. Oh if you don't mind, if you see your leaders please tell them to wait until my boyfriends up.”

“Um why is that if you don't mind me asking?”

“Because he's the Pathfinder he supposed to be the one to make first contact.”

“Pathfinder?”

“Sorry I'll talk to you miss I've got to go make sure they don't accidentally kill my boyfriend. Good bye for now.” I said as made my way to the observation room.

(POV change Fluttershy)

After she disappeared into the room I turned around started walk to the waiting area.

Ten minutes later my friends twilight and Applejack came in and walked over to me. “Fluttershy are you okay, where's the aliens? Did they say anything about themselves and why there here?” asked twilight

“There fine twilight ones in observation room and the other is in surgery. The girls name is Vetra while her boyfriend's name is Matt. As for why, I think they crashed here. One things for certain though she definitely loves her boyfriend like lot.”

“Boyfriend you mean the two of them are to together?” asked Applejack

I nodded

“Do you think we could talk to her?” Asked Twilight

“Um here's the thing twilight she said to wait for her boyfriend to wake up because he's something called a Pathfinder.”

“Pathfinder? What in tarnation is that?” asked Applejack

“I don't know but she said something about first contact.”

(POV change Matt two days later)

“Ugh my head, what happened?” I said as I sat up in the bed. I looked around the and noticed Vetra sleeping over in the corner of the room. I ignored my body's scream of pain as moved out of bed. My body was covered in bandages. When I finally reached her I picked her and carried back to bed.

“Can't seem to keep your hands to yourself I see.” She said in a hushed tone

“What can I say the temptation is more than I can handle.” I said as I slowly inched my hand tord her more sensitive of areas.

“Hey now you just woke up and you need to get some rest after what you did.”

“Fine but your staying with me.” I said as I wrapped my arms around her.

She let out a small sigh of contentment. “Fine by me.” she said as she snuggled into my chest.

“Good night my love.” I said as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
