The Not so Averge Life of a Once Human Now Pony Named Minra

Chapter Ten

Minra woke up one morning and went to by a doughnut from Sugarcube Corner, where a pink earth pony was getting the bakery ready for the day.

“Hi Minra, how are you doing this morning, what would you like?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“Good, and I’ll have a creme filled doughnut.” Minra replied.

“What flavor?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“Strawberry.” Minra replied.

“Okie, dokie, lokie.” The hyper pink pony said as she placed the doughnut on the counter.

“That’ll be two bits.” Pinkie Pie said smiling as Minra took the doughnut and gave her two bits.

Minra walked down the streets of Ponyville while munching on his strawberry flavored creme doughnut, he absolutely loved those, no matter what flavor he got they were always so good that he didn’t need anything else to eat. The ponies of Ponyville were decorating the town in red, pink and white for the holiday known as Hearts and Hooves day was just a week away, and he had already planned the perfect present, for Fluttershy by spending the day at the petting zoo that would normally be closed for that day but was able to strike a deal with the owner to allow the two of them to be there. He had always hated Valentines day when he was human for certain reasons but now loved the holiday since he now has friends and a very special somepony. As he was trotting through the town he bumped into Big Macintosh.

“Sorry Big Mac, I didn’t see you there are you okay?” Minra asked apologetically.

“Eeyup.” The red earth pony said.

“So got any plans for Hearts and Hooves day?” Minra asked.

“Eeyup.” Big Mac replied.

“Cool, well I got to go, best be ready.” Minra said as he trotted off.

“Eeyup.”

On the way back to the castle Minra met Spike who was trying to figure out to what to buy his beloved Rarity. When he got to the table he laid all the items he needed to make the card for Fluttershy. Several failed attempt at cards later he was just laying his head on the table with an annoyed look on his face. Minra groaned as Twilight walked in.

“What’s wrong?” Twilight asked while noticing all the supplies layered over the table.

“I can’t figure out a good card to give to Fluttershy on Hearts and Hooves day.” Minra said groaning.

“Well why don’t you just buy her a card?” Twilight asked.

“But I want it to be special, this is my first Hearts and Hooves day, especially since this is the first time I was looking forward to it.” Minra said.

“Really?” Twilight said as she picked up one of the cards with her magic and reading it then snorted.

“Is this really the best you’ve got?” Twilight added.

“Hey I’m trying me best.” Minra said as he planted his face into the table and said something that Twilight couldn’t hear.

“No no, what you’re doing is trying to hard, it doesn’t have to be anything romantic.” Twilight said as she raised a hoof dismissively.

“Why?” Minra asked.

“Because anything you make for her she’ll love.” Twilight said.

“Did you get that from a book?” Minra asked.

“No, well yea but mostly from Cadence, having the Princess of love as your foal-sitter for several years does help in some ways.” Twilight responded while pouting.

“Thanks.” Minra said with a new spark in him as Twilight nodded.

“So what are you gonna give her as a present?” Twilight asked.

“Well I was going to take her to the petting zoo on Hearts and Hooves day.” Minra responded.

“But isn’t it closed on that day?”

“Normally yes but I was able to make a deal with the owner to allow Fluttershy and I to be able to go in.”

“Wait what kind of a deal?”

“Well basically I would volunteer to work there for a couple of weeks.” Minra responded.

“Oh okay.”

“What about you, what are your plans?” Minra asked.

“I don’t have any plans.” Twilight said.

“Oh sorry.” Minra responded.

“Nah, don’t worry I’m fine.” Twilight responded.

Minra spent the next couple of hours drawing, coloring and cutting some paper into an attempted swan shape that when opened would create a heart. Minra had also bought Fluttershy some flowers and some treats that had no ingredients that would harm any of her critters. The last thing Minra bought was a new bed for Fluttershy’s pet bunny named Angel.

“Heya Minra what are you doing?” Spike asked as he walked in.

“Oh I’m just getting Fluttershy’s presents ready for Hearts and Hooves, what are you doing for Heart’s and Hooves day?” Minra responded.

“Well I was hoping to spend the day with Rarity.” Spike responded.

“Cool, what did you get her?” Minra asked.

“Oh an uh spool of gold thread.” Spike responded.

“Cool, well I’m going to Fluttershy’s, see you later.” Minra said as he walked to Fluttershy.

“Okay see ya.” Spike responded.

Minra walked to Fluttershy’s cottage that was just out side of Ponyville when he heard somepony shout “watch out” in a familiar voice. When he turned there was a purple caravan rolling down a hill, heading straight for him. Minra braced for impact as the caravan collided with him however when it did the caravan stopped a couple of feet from the impact site with some trails of dirt in the middle. Minra walked out with a hoof on the caravan.

“Some one’s caravan?” Minra asked.

“Yea it’s Trixie’s…wait what?” The familiar voice and when Minra looked to see who the pony was he realized it was Trixie.

“This is your caravan.” Minra said raising an eyebrow.

“Yea so what.”

“Why why was it rolling down a hill in the first place?” Minra asked.

“Trixie may of forgotten to tighten the harness….” She said blushing out of embarrassment.

“Be more careful next time.” Minra said.

“Whatever, but Trixie is wondering, how did you stop Trixie’s caravan?”

“I just braced for impact, that's all.” Minra explained.

“Uh Trixie is confused.”

“I have powers okay.” Minra responded.

“Yea right, Trixie does not believe you.”

“Then how do you think I stopped it?” Minra responded.

“Fair enough, thanks anyway.” Trixie said.

“Don’t mention it.” Minra said walking away.

Meanwhile a certain unicorn filly otherwise known as Sweetie Bell was making a card for the creature or rather a certain baby dragon known as Spike, Twilight’s number one assistant. Meanwhile her friends Scootalo and Applebloom where confused by what Sweetie Bell was making.

“Uh Sweetie Bell what are you making?” Applebloom asked.

“I’m making a card.”

“Uh for who?” Scootalo asked.

“You’ll see.”

Sweetie Bell’s friends peered over her shoulder to see what she was making.

“Spike really, you know he likes your sister right?” Scootalo asked.

“I know, but with this I’ll finally get him to like me back.” Sweetie said.

“So why do you have glitter?” Applebloom asked.

“Duh it’s obviously for the card, Spike likes shiny things.” Sweetie Bell told her friends.

“Uh he likes gems, not glitter and he eats gems.” Scootalo reminded Sweetie Bell.

“I know that’s why I’m gonna ask Rarity to help me find a gem for Spike.” Sweetie Bell said.

“Oh okay.” Scootalo and Applebloom said in unison.

Meanwhile on the opposite side of town a white unicorn mare who wears sunglasses even indoors, had a blue and azure mane and tail with a music note as her cutie mark was working on her latest song that she had yet thought a name of when an earth pony mare who is light gray in coloration, with a charcoal mane and tail, magenta eyes, wears a white collar with a pink bow tie and has a magenta colored music note burst in to the room demanding she keep it down.

“Vynal Scratch can you please keep it down.” Octavia said.

“What’s wrong Tavi?” Vynal Scratch asked.

“The ponies all the way in Manehattan can here you!”

“Pfft, how can they I have my headphones plugged in.” Vynal Scratch responded.

“No they’re not!” Octavia Shouted as Vynal looked down and saw that the her headphones cord was indeed not plugged in.

“Heh heh, oops sorry Tavi.” Vynal Scratch said as she plugged in her headphones.

“I forgive you but please do be more careful.” Octavia said.

“Will do.” Vynal Scratch said.

Hearts and Hooves day came, and when Minra knocked on Fluttershy’s door she opened it.

“Hi Minra happy Hearts and Hooves day.” Fluttershy said when she opened her door.

“Heya Fluttershy Happy Hearts and Hooves day to you.” Minra responded as he walked in.

“What’s in your saddle bags?” Fluttershy asked.

“Well it’s some snacks I asked Pinkie Pie to make that are animal friendly, a new bed for Angel and a card.” Minra responded.

“Ooh can I see?”

“Sure.” Minra said as he took out the snacks and the bed and set it on the floor where Angel Bunny promptly hopped to and fell asleep on it.

“Aww he likes the bed.” Fluttershy said as Minra gave her the card.

“Here I made the card myself.” Minra said as Fluttershy opened the swan shaped card to see a heart that the two swans created.

“I love it.” Fluttershy said hugging Minra.

“I’m glad, now come on we got to head to the petting zoo.” Minra said.

“Why, isn’t it normally closed?” Fluttershy asked.

“It is but I was able to make a deal with the owner to allow the two of us to be in the petting zoo.” Minra explained.

Fluttershy squealed and kissed Minra. The two ponies trotted to the petting zoo where upon entering Fluttershy rushed to some chickens that greeted her. The two of them spent their Hearts and Hooves day their. There was a knock on Rarity’s door.

“Spike, happy Hearts and Hooves please come in.” Rarity said as Spike walked in.

“Rarity wo-would you like to be my very special somepony?” Spike asked.

“I’m honored by your offer but you’re simply to young for me I’m sorry but I do know a particular filly who want’s to be yours.” Rarity said gesturing to her little sister.

“Really?” Spike asked as Sweetie Bell walked out from behind the wall.”

“H-hey Spike, can I be your very special somepony?” Sweetie Bell asked while blushing.

“S-sure.” Spike said blushing as Rarity left the room.

Sweetie Bell hugged Spike at this news. Meanwhile Octavia and Vynal decided to spend the holiday by not doing anything interesting except watching movies while cuddling.
