The sky was a light gray, the wind was cold as it rushed past her wings. She had walked a few good minutes to the corner stalls in this small town. Her adoptive father, a cruel ma-stallion, had ordered her to get more liquor and some food.

She would’ve said no, but he was bigger than her in the weight area, so he could easily hurt her if she dared to refuse. Though, now that she wasn’t closeto his horrid smelling house, she could scoff and rant about how bad he was... though that didn’t matter, most ponies here didn’t really believe her because of her diet.

Who might this mare be? Well, this was no ordinary mare. This was a human, a human female named Raven that found herself displaced in a world of pastel-colored horses, or, as they call themselves, ponies.

She was displaced here at the young age of 10, that was also when she was adopted by her new family. Things were rough for Raven given that ponies seem to age faster than her or at least mature faster when they got their cutie marks, but she would never get one herself. her mother was kind and loving, her father, well, before he wasn’t too bad, still an alcoholic, but not as bad as he is now since mom left them.

But, she did have a younger brother, who joined the police force and helped ponies with their day to day problems. However, both he and mom left her with dad after a big argument, her father blamed her for it...

She shook her head, trying to think of positive thoughts, as her friends! While she was younger, she used to mess around in the wheat fields by an old looking barn. One day, she was discovered by a blue pegasus named Frost Bite who worked in the fields. She thought she would get punished for messing around, but the stallion let her go with a warning. At school, she met her other friend, Silver Flame, a kind and generous mare who stood up for her. One day, she heard the news of Silver falling into the wheat field and she worried for her safety. Yet, like the mare she was, she brought out a new friend, the stallion who helped her.

Raven was a rather hopeful young lady, always happy to help others in their time of need and often like to joke that she and her friends were the same flocks has given they all had wings and saying things like the birds of a feather flock together, the early bird catches the worm and many more bird jokes.

Yet one thing ponies could not understand, lest they were very close to her, was that she was near scared to DEATH by simply bumping into a pony by accident. This seemed like a crippling fear to have. Barely anypony knew that the true reason behind this deathly fear of accidental touching or upsetting anypony stemmed from her household father and his "less than nice ways" of dealing with small issues.

Now that pleasantries are out of the way on to what Raven is currently doing which is going to the store to get more beers for her dear old dad. She still loves her dad with all her heart and by pony standers she was of legal to buy the whiskey but she never dare touch the stuff herself lest she feel more of her fathers, special love, like the back of his hoof, sometimes it was a belt or a paddle on her ass and other times it was much worse it, lets just say Raven is just lucky she isn't pregnant and leave it at that.

She paid for her father's whiskey and left and she decided to fly home to save time as it was starting to get late. She was not a very good flier given she rarely ever had time to practice but she can fly short distances with little to no issue Raven just as long as she didn't go to high or to fast.

Upon landing at her house and went inside to only be greeted by a bottle just missing her head and smashing into the wall behind her. Raven's father was in his lazy boy drinking away like always.

"I'm home," Raven said as she set the whiskey down on the coffee table and got to work picking up the mess her father made while she was gone.

"Yer late ya, Whore." Her father slurred as he downed his current bottle before tossing it on the floor. " When yer done, Ah need ya to unclog the toilet." He then reached for the new bottle of whiskey and downed some only to spit it back out. "DA HELL IS THIS PISS." He yelled causing raven to flinch.

"It's what the store had, dad, I'm sorry," Raven said as she on her hands and knees and braced for the oncoming beating.

"Yer not sorry not yet anyway." Her father said as He kicked her hard enough to put her through a wall. "Now look at what yer ass made me do." His drunken rage only mounted as he pulled Raven out of wall her cries in pain going unanswered. "Yer gonna pay fer this as well." He then slammed her on the ground and then stomped on a wing breaking it instantly.

"I'm sorry, I won't make the same mistake again." Raven desperately pleading her cries for mercy at her father over and over again as she endured the relentless beating. It wasn't the first time her father did this to her and she was ready to crawl to the hospital again when her father got tired but this time was different her father didn't stop.

"Ah Thought Ah told you aren't sorry 'til Ah was through with yer ass." Her father breathed heavily as he kicked her again. He then got it in his head to rip off her good wing, so he grabbed it and started pulling.

Ravens Eyes widened in horror when she realized what her father was doing. He was going to take away the one thing that helped her stay hopeful. Her wings or more specifically her ability to fly. "NO! PLEASE I'LL BE GOOD. PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY WINGS" She pleaded, but once again her pleas went unanswered as her father kept pulling and pulling. The pain was becoming too much for Raven to handle. Soon the wing was dislocated and blood was starting to come out of Ravens back as her Father kept pulling.

"Ah'm gonna make sure that yer ass never flies again." Her fathers voice strained clearly pulling her wing was a lot more work then he had anticipated but his drunk ass was stubborn and he kept pulling all while his daughter pleaded for him to stop even going as far as to offer her self to him again but he was having none of that he wanted that wing off her back even if it killed her, and at this rate it will.

Soon flesh was tearing and Raven passed out from the pain shortly after. Without Raven struggling so much the Pulling became easier for Her father who laughed as tendons snapped and Blood poured from her back and with one more mighty pull the wing was off and He was laughing triumphantly while his daughter was lying on the floor with a massive hole in her back and clear view of her non-beating heart.

Tossing the now free wing to the side her father grabbed the piss whiskey and downed some more of it. " When Ya wake up Ya need to clean this place up." The stallion said as he got back in his lazy boy and fell asleep completely unaware of what he had truly done to Raven.
