Author's Note

Keep in mind that I won't always be able to upload chapters as frequently as a couple every week. Just during times when I don't have any other stories to write. So for the time being I can offer you all plenty of content. Also, the chapters from three or four and onward may be longer than the first two. Just wanted to get that out there. Enjoy!

He Overreacted

Spike was more than prepared for whatever Shining Armor had to say to him, knowing that it couldn't be as bad as what he said to Twilight. So as soon as Shining Armor called him out on his words, he was ready. "Spike, that's ridiculous. You saw how Twilight was out there. I can't have a Best Mare that's willing to tear the wedding apart."

"Except what if that WASN'T what Twilight was intending on?" Spike asked, and he then continued his explination without hesitating one bit, knowing for certain that Twilight needed support. He even stood up to stand more firm so he could say his words. "You of all people should know how she is Shining. You've been her brother for at least two decades now; you have every reason to believe her intentions are good."

Shining Armor scoffed, finding Spike's words to be utterly ridiculous. The thoughts these next words gave to Spike were unimaginable. "So you're saying you'd rather have her get away with calling my bride evil?" Spike clenched his fist upon those words and took Shining's scolding in more, despite the flames of rage seething inside of him. "It's your call. Defend Twilight and get uninvited, or leave her and have the time of your life."

Spike chuckled with a grin that brought everyone to shock, filling the area with only his chuckling being heard. After about five seconds, Spike gave a grin to his adoptive brother as he spoke with calmness in his voice. "I see your blackmail Shining Armor, and I'm afraid to tell you that it won't work. My mind is made up. And what it has made up, is that you overreacted." Shining Armor flinched with everyone else doinga swift gasp (You know; the kind in the 2017 movie. I hate the way they do it on the show. Too over-exaturated.) "It's just a simple fact that you all want to deny."

Shining Armor found these words hard to take in, unable to decide whether or not they were true. He knew that Spike loved Twilight, but the question was, did he still love her? Or did he decide that his blood family was worth nothing to him. "So you're not going."

"Oh, I'm going." Spike assured Shining Armor as he put up a claw of his. "I just have a bad feeling you'll be jealous of how right I'll be when Twilight comes back to haunt you." Spike walks off, leaving everyone in the room stunned by his words. Celestia watched him walk down the hall as he gave her a wink, wondering what had become of his personality upon this.

Spike was walking down the hall as he arrived at Twilight's room, hoping his adoptive older sister was doing okay. He gave a knock on her door to see if she was doing okay. "Twilight? You okay in there?"

"Yes, I'm fine Spike." Twilight replied calmly from a desk of some sorts, seeming to be devising some sort of plan. "You can come in." Spike entered the room and saw Twilight devising her plan, wondering what it was all about. He got a glimpse at it and became curious as to what Twilight was doing. "This is just my plan for crashing the wedding. Shining Armor decides to ban me, and I'll show up anyway. (Leans over and whispers) Don't tell anyone else though. I don't want them finding out."

Spike nodded and then started to question how Twilight was going to pull this off. "I'm pretty sure there'll be guards around the halls from the first to the last. How are you gonna get this done without any of them finding out?"

Twilight giggled a bit as she then turned to Spike with a smile. "I have plans for that. On the day of the wedding, I'll show up late, and then I'll make sure everyone regrets what they did to me. They'll all wish they did what was right." Spike seemed a tad bit creeped out by Twilight's words, but decided it wasn't worth questioning.

The next day.

The wedding was happening with Spike and Cadance both wondering what Twilight was going to do. As Celestia continued to speak, she seemed genuinelly happy for her niece, and didn't hesitate to show happiness for her. "And as we are brought here today, to celebrate these two coming together in the form of love and affection, I can safely say that I wouldn't have either of them marry anyone else." Spike gagged behind everyone's backs, which no one noticed, showing that he wasn't too fond of this romance junk.

Cadance caught Spike's gag however, and didn't mind it, since kids his age naturally had this thought. She then looked at Shining Armor and found him to be excited beyond belief. In any other circumstances, she would've understood it. But Twilight was no where in sight, and she questioned why no one else was confused by it. A dark figure was then shown peeking through the window, seeming to be in the form of a young dragon, just before it vanished.

Celestia was about to finish up her words and announce Shining Armor and Cadance as a couple. "Now if anyone has any objections to these two being married, speak now, or forever hold your peace." Everyone remained silent for about five seconds, and Celestia was about to speak again, until a door was flung open with a familiar voice being heard.

"I object!"

Twilight was shown with a serious look at the front door with two beaten up guards behind her. She then walked up to Shining Armor with silence filling the room until Cadance spoke. "Twilight, what's going on?"

"I'll tell you what's going on." Twilight replied as she then spoke firm to show her thoughts of betrayal. "The stallion here before us, the one you're marrying today, has thrown away all of the history we had before us, along with a group of backstabbing manipulative jerks!"
