When Pinkie's grandma passes away, she needs somepony to be understanding and to sympathise with her. Even the Element of Laughter cries from time to time.

A/N: Some time ago I read some short fics about AJ finding out about her parents' death. Their lack of presence in the show (and I hope it stays this way) can easily be translated as them being gone. Instead of repeating the concept, I used it as a background for writing this short story where Pinkie needs a crying shoulder, and AJ seemed to me like an obvious choice.
