Snapped

"Wait! Wait, everypony!" I yelled desperately as all my friends left me.

We failed to unite and use the Elements Of Harmony against Discord. They didn't work... why didn't... why didn't they work? What... what went wrong? My friends abandoned me. Well, at least Spike is-

"Uh, Twilight?" Spike said, taking off Rainbow Dash's Element Of Loyalty and setting it on the ground. "Uh, I, uh, I have to go." He then took off off to Faust knows where, leaving me alone.

"Guys...why...? Why did you leave me?" I whispered and then shouted out "F-Fine! With friends like you who needs... enemies..."

I hung my head and closed my eyes, despair and hopelessness seeping into my veins. Tears started running down my cheeks.

Discord's thoughts echoed through my head well he outwardly cackled with sick glee. His thoughts told me how me and my friends fell for his tricks and how he was going to take over Equestria and then the world...

Wait, tricks? He tricked us? He tricked... me?

Images that didn't make sense suddenly flashed through my mind. Bipedal hairless ape like creatures... a five fingered hand instead of six...

Fury begun rising within me. I ground my teeth at the intense emotion. It happened again... why... anger, so much anger... his laugh... his stupid idiotic laugh... how dare he? How DARE he!

Something in me snapped at that moment.

Make him pay... make him pay for tricking you.......

"Oh Twilight, you silly silly pony! How to expect to defeat me now? Your 'friends' have felt you! Your are alone. You are...?" I looked up and glared into his eyes. His eyes widened and he flinched back in surprise. "W-What?"

"Discord, you pathetic half beast..." I growled. My hooves left the ground and I begun floating, much like Discord himself.

"You think you can rule this world. Well you can't. You want to know why?" A sadistic smile slowly spread across my face. I reached out with my magic and squeezed his throat. Hard. Discord gasped, his magic gave out and he dropped to the ground. His claw and paw reached up and tried to grasp what was choking him.

I floated up to him and lifted his head so that he was looking at me. His looked terrified. This filled me with excitement and glee for some reason. I chuckled and leaned up to his ear.

"You can't rule the world," I whispered "because its MINE."

I pulled away and smiled down at him "Remember Discord, I am much MUCH more powerful than you. To me you are nothing but an ant. Now..." I frowned, "Are you going to put a stop to this pathetic little game or am I going to have to kill you?" I loosened my hold on his neck another for him to speak.

"W-W-What ARE you...?"

I smirked and sang, "Wrong answer!" then with a quick flick of my head I snapped his neck. Discord went limp in my grasp, his face permanently froze in a look of pure terror.

The Lord Of Chaos was no more.

I through my head back and laughed.

And laughed.

And laughed.

Eventually my laughing slowed to a stop. Then it started setting in. I just KILLED somepony, and I was LAUGHING about it!

My eyes wandered down to Discord's body. My eyes widened. I lowered myself back down to the ground and shakly backed away.

Oh Faust, what's wrong have I done... what's wrong with me?!

There was a sudden burning on my flanks making me hiss. I looked behind me and noticed my cutie mark changing. I stared in horror as the familiar starburst faded and something strange replaced it. It looked like a nicely dressed triangle shaped creature with arms, legs, and a single eye in the middle of a zodiac wheel thing. I had the urge to call it a 'Cipher Wheel'.

"W-What...?" I stuttered out, "What h-happened to my cutie mark?!"

I tore my gaze away from my new mark and looked around, things were turning back to normal. I saved everypony but... not in the right way. I killed somepony to do so! This is wrong! So, so wrong!

'So what,' a darker voice within me whispered 'he deserved it.'

I feel sick to my stomach...

"Twilight? Twilight where are you, darling?" I heard Rarity's voice suddenly in the distance, along with my other friends. Oh NOW you come crawling back? Wait! I can't let them see me in front of Discord's body, and with this THING for a cutie mark!

I quickly burned a triangle on a nearby tree with my magic nearby and then turned and ran in the opposite direction. Where? I don't know. I just wanted to get as far away from them as possible.

I kept running, and running, and running. I ran until I wasn't able to anymore. I stopped in front of a lake somewhere in the Everfree forest. I sat down and looked through the triangle I burned on the tree near Discord's body.

My friends stopped in front of the dead Discord. Rarity fainted. Fluttershy puked then fainted too. Applejack looked empaseve. Same with Rainbow Dash, except I could see a very faint trace of fear in her eyes. Pinkie gasped dramatically and started talking so rapidly I couldn't read her lips...

I let out a sigh and stopped watching them. I looked down at my reflection in the lake and then gasped with surprise.

Sickly yellow eyes with slit pupils stared back at me. Eyes wandering upwards, I noticed my mane has changed too. The blue of my mane was pure white and my purple highlight was now black well my pink one was now yellow.

"What's happening to me?" I whispered in a daze.

The sound of growling snapped me out of my daze. I looked up as a pack of timberwolves emerged from the overgrowth. They begun to circle me yet for some odd reason I was not afraid. If fact I felt a little annoyed.

My freakish eyes lazily switched from timberwolf to timberwolf.

"What do you want?" I growled.

Pony. Pony. Meat. Food. Meat. Pony.

I snorted, "Sorry, pups. I'm not on the menu."

Pony? Sounds. Pony. Pony? Food. Sounds? Meat.

I rolled my eyes and weaved my magic inside of several of them and pulled outward. They exploded. Pieces rained everywhere.

Pony! Danger! Danger! Run! Pony! Run!

What was left of them turned tail and scattered.

"Pathetic," I mumbled.

I took a peek through the triangle again. At some point Spike showed up it seems. He was writing something on a scroll. He looked up and said to Rarity that he wondered were I was and was worried about me. He took a deep breath and blew green flames, sending the scroll to Princess Celestia.

I sighed and hung my head, hot tears running down my cheeks. I can't return to them, not now, not ever. Something's VERY wrong with me. I can feel myself changing... it scares me, it scares me so much.......

Please, somepony, save me....

Princess Celestia was dreaming, at least she THINKS she is.

Equestria was destroyed and warped into a hellish landscape. Monsterish beasts like her never seen was walking the land. She looked up, a massive black pyramid was floating in the sky above what used to be Ponyville. Above it was what looked like a tear in reality. A insane sounding, high pitched laughter echoed in her ears.

Celestia turned around. A dark silhouette of a pony in a top hat was floating above her. All she could make out was a single sickly yellow eye with a slit pupil and a demented smile.
