Remember Falling
Heart Heart Head
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI watched as Firestarter bandaged up Warrior with a deep frown. It felt like there was a war going on inside me. On one hoof I didn't care whether the unicorn died or not, he could get in the way. But on the other hoof Warrior was my brother and I DID care whether he lived or died.
I growled and kicked away a rock in front of me.
What should I do? How should I feel? Dammit, this is so confusing!
"Okay, he's all wrapped up." Firestarter announced, backing away from the white unicorn.
"Good." I looked up at the night sky "It's your bedtime anyway." I summoned a sleeping bag for the kid. He sighed and crawled into the bag. Once he was tucked it tight he then proceeded to stare at me.
I raised an eyebrow, "Yes, kid? You need something?"
"Um, how long has it been since you've slept?" He asked after a moment of hesitation.
I snorted, "I'm a being of pure energy with no known weakness. Even though I'm trapped in this pathetic pony shaped body I still do not need sleep."
Firestarter stared at me with a look of confusion. Heh, can't blame him. Even I don't understand what the buck I just said.
"How 'bout I simple it down for the both of us; I do not need to sleep."
The flightless dragon nodded, "I understand, but..." he shifted to the side and patted the space he made next to him "How about you sleep anyways? With me?"
"Sorry kid. I need to keep watch." I shifted my eye over to Warrior. He could wake up at any time...
"Please?" I looked back at Firestarter and was greeted with overly large, pitifully sad, puppy dog eyes.
"Fine," I sighed in defeat, silently cursing my soft spot for the baby dragon. I walked over and layed down, curling up next to him.
"Goodnight, Twilight." Firestarter said with a yawn.
"You too, kid." I mumbled lazaly. Laying my head onto my forearms, I stared into the blue flames of the campfire in the middle of the clearing we were in. My mind begun wandering.
Things used to be so simple. Study magic, study friendship, take care of Firestarter, protect Equestria with my friends by using the power of the Elements Of Harmony... I thought my destiny was connected to these four things. But now? Things about me were changing... something within me was awakening, if my sudden change of appearance, personality, and cutie mark meant anything. What was awakening within me felt powerful, evil, insane, and... old. Very, Very old. Far older than Equestria. Heck, the Earth even! But... what's my destiny NOW? Run? Run forever? No... I feel like I'm supposed to do something. What am I supposed to do?
My thoughts to the world that Discord was trying to create.
This world work's in such a cruel way, yet nopony is even aware of it. Everypony is trapped in a unbalanced reality. Everypony is blind to the truth that this world works within a corrupted sistem. Harmony has an iron hoof upon everything, there is never room for chaos to help keep order. I... I think I'm beginning to understand what Discord was trying to do. Harmony... Harmony is just another word for 'enslavement'. But... But what if somepony had the power to free everypony from the lies that hold them captive?
Firestarter suddenly gave a loud snore and turned towards me. He pulled himself close to my body and buried his face into my fur. What he in his sleep surprised me very much to say the least.
"Mom..."
My eye widened. Mom? He sees me as his... mother? Is THAT how he really feels about me? A small, yet rather warm smile appeared on my face.
I think I'm starting to realize it now. My feelings for Firestarter goes far beyond mere 'fondness'. As far as I remember my feelings for certain ponies in my life never really went beyond fondness, but... Firestarter is different. I think... I think I LOVE him.
I raised my head and looked up at the sky.
I think I know that I want to do now. I want to create a new world, a new reality... for Firestarter. A reality where he and everypony else is free from the enslavement known as 'harmony'.
I will call this new age of Equus... Weirdmaggedon.
Suddenly I got a strange feeling of deja vu making me squint my eye in confusen. Have I done this before?
With those words it was like a dam suddenly broke within my mind, releasing a torment of forgotten memories making me gasp and grab my head. I begun grinding my teeth at the sheer intensity of the memories.
Those hairless bipedal apes again... and other creatures. Monsters and... demons, yes, they're called demons.
Like... me. I'm a demon... no, a DREAM demon, the most power kind of demon in existence. That's why I've always felt different from other ponies, it's because I'm not even a pony AT ALL! I'm a dream demon and my name is Bill Cipher! That's why I picked the surname Cipher for my new identity, I was subconsciously trying to remember who I was! And.. oh God.
I removed my hooves from my head and looked at my cutie mark with new found descust. The Cipher wheel, really? Was this some kind of sick JOKE? Also, I'm a fucking purple colored PONY of all things- and a female one at that! Damnit Axolotl, this is NOT what I had in mind when I cast that that stupid spell of yours! I swear I can hear that son of a bitch laughing at me right now...
"Ugh, this is all the Pines falt!" I growled with deep rooted hatred. Flicking my tail I lowered my head back onto my forearms.
I fucking hate my life.
The room was dark. Eerily dark. The only light that could be seen was coming from a lantern off to the side.
In the center of the room was a lone pink mare. She had a piece of calk held within her mouth and was slowly drawing a strange summoning circle on the floor. She quickly pulled away and brushed a strand of her long, freefalling darker pink mane out of her face before sighing and getting back to work.
She wasn't sure if this was going to work, but Pinkie Pie was desperate. It's been over a week sense Twilight has disappeared, and two days since Spike disappeared too. She didn't know what else to do. She... She hasn't felt this useless in a long, long time.
The pink earth pony then drew another symbol of the ritual circle. She stopped, staring at the simbol she just drew with deep sorrow and longing.
A pine tree.
Pinkie squeezed her eyes shut, trying to stop herself from crying. That part of her life was lost years ago....... yet... yet she doesn't think the hurt will ever go away.
No matter how hard she tries to forget... she just CAN'T. Even though it's been 16 years since she died and was reborn in this reality, she still misses him... she still LOVES him.
He was still her brother.
A tear slid down Pinkie's cheek. She reached up, wiped it away, and got back to work.
