That Flipping Biscuit!

Previous Chapter

She had no idea what she was getting herself into. NOPONY messed with Crema Lune and got away with it! As I stormed off to the kitchen to practice, I thought about every time she had messed with me.

That time in level 2 when she made eclairs, and tried to get me disqualified for copying, when she herself was the copier. I'd changed my style of eclair last minute from the classic chocolate and vanilla to a more original blackberry blueberry marbled creme. I won.

That time in level 4 when she accused me of not washing my hooves. Video proved I did wash them. It also proved that she didn't.

That time in level 7 when we had to cook hometown dishes. We both came from the same town, and happened to pick the same dish. Her measurements just happened to be off by 1/4 of a teaspoon, throwing off the entire batch, and ruining everything. She accused me of messing with her utensils. Once again, she accused me of doing something she herself had done, but I had double checked my measurements and found them to be inaccurate, and thus succeeded in making the dish first try.

And now. She had dared to submit the dish I had been planning on making for years. My piece de resistance, my perfected recipe. I don't know how she got it, but she would pay.

"And now, by Crema Lune, a dish she has titled, 'Return to Sweets'. A 3-tiered carrot cake with vanilla honey glazed buttermilk biscuits, blackberry blueberry marbled creme eclairs, and a strawberry vanilla drizzle, with edible gold glitter dusted from above."

"Well, I must say... what made you think to include the biscuits?"

"It's a recipe I've worked to perfect for years. A sweet biscuit that also goes well with savory dishes. The key is adding some vanilla and honey to the batter at the right time, and flipping the biscuits while they bake."

"THAT FLIPPING BISCUIT! THAT'S MY DISH!"

"Oh? But I've been working on this for years!"

"No you haven't! I have!"

"Then how about a taste test. If the recipe is yours, your biscuits would clearly taste better. If it's mine, mine will, as the timing is truly key, and I never wrote down when to add the extra vanilla and honey, only that it should be done."

"Deal!"

Victory is truly sweet. She was banned from future competitions for cheating. I look forward to never seeing that flipping biscuit again.
