Thomas, like many of those before and after him, had never meant to fall in love with his Pokemon. But, like many of those before and after him, after he had fallen in love, he had realized how much Pokemon were like them, which made him realize how wrong the laws concerning his love were.

However, like many before and after him, he was caught by the Rangers, and the love of his life payed the ultimate price for their love. Devastated, it took him years to get over the loss, but eventually he was able to find love again, though it was in the most unlikely of places.

Now he finds himself in a brand new world, and one would think he would feel free now that he no longer has to fear being arrested for who he chooses to love. But he does not see this as a chance at freedom, not yet. Instead, he sees this as a chance to right a terrible wrong, and bring justice to all those who lost their lives due to the Anti-Pokephillia laws.

This story was the result of four inspirational sources. One, I have been reading stories from the A New World, A New Way universe, and been inspired to write a fic set in that universe. Two, I have recently gotten into Pokemon games thanks to the game Pokemon Uranium, which is the first Pokemon Game I ever played*. Three, I have also been getting back into the Pokemon Anime as well as the other Pokemon adaptation, as I have recently started watching Pokemon Origin and plan to get back into the original show, despite peoples problems with it. Four, I have yet to see a single story featuring Pokemon or characters from Pokemon Uranium, and I know its probably because they want to stick mostly with the cannon, I don't see that as a good enough reason to not do a story with these Pokemon or characters.

This may or may not contain spoilers for Pokemon Uranium, so for those who have not played that game yet and want to remain spoiler free, this story may not be for you.
I will be editing some of Pokemon Uranium's story to fit within the cannon of A New World A New Way, but hopefully not too much.
Also to explain how these Pokemon fit into the original world, if I recall correctly A New World A New Way mentioned that their had been Pokemon Extinction events in the past, so I will me making it that the Pokemon from the Tandor Region are the last of their species after nearly being wiped out during one of these extinction events.
Likewise, Tandor Region will be revealed to be very isolated in this fic, mainly due to the fact that the Rangers wanted to keep access limited while they studied the Tandor Region Pokemon due to the fact that they only appear in the Tandor Region.
Characters from the Tandor Region will be appearing in this fic, but the main character is going to be an OC, much like Gene Philips.
Yes, this has the Mature tag, but that's only because I am used to writing fic's with sex in them. If we make it ten chapters without any actual sex, I may change the rating.
