Rarity never told anypony else, but all her life she wanted to be royalty. She was a fashionista, an artistic genius, but nopony had ever kneeled down for her or given her a crown that told Equestria she was their ruler, and she wanted it. She'd seen the life royalty through Twilight Sparkle. She had her own castle, she talked to the other princesses, she made decisions that helped creatures all around the world, and she was respected by all of Equestria. It wasn't fair.

Rarity wanted it all, and she was willing to do anything to get it, even if it meant cutting a tie or two...
