Spike & The Athlete

It is a beautiful day in Canterlot and a Seventeen year old teenage boy can be seeing sleeping in his bed, his alarm went off causing hard rock music to start playing before he shut it off.

Then he slowly sat up stretching, "Alright, today is the final practice before the game", he said to himself before getting out of bed and started getting clean clothes ready.

He is an athlete that loves a good challenge, he also has that type of body that made girls besides his friends want to ask him out, but don't for fear of his overprotective sister.

"Spike sweetie breakfast is ready", he heard his mother say through the door before she walked away.

"Tomorrow is the day that Crystal Prep gets their asses kicked and finally loses to CHS in a Basketball game", he said to himself smirking before walking out of his room.

He suddenly got a text from one of his friends saying, "Hey dude, you up for celebrating at the Arcade tomorrow after we kick Crystal Preps ass".

"Hell yeah", he text back.

After awhile he is ready and in the kitchen eating breakfast with his adopted parents and sister, the girl's hair is in a ponytail, wearing glasses and is the same age as her brother.

The boy is wearing a black shirt with a rock band logo on it, shorts and sneakers, he has that badass bad boy look that made girls want him and father's fear of their daughters falling for him.

"Hey mom dad, I might be out late tomorrow cause me and Rainbow Dash are gonna be celebrating our victory when we finally win", the athletic boy told his parents before continuing to eat.

He failed to see the smirks, "So it's just gonna be you two..no one else", he heard his sister say with a snicker before hearing his mother giggling.

"Of course...I mean no one else in the group likes going to the Arcade anyways", he spoke with a raised eyebrow while she continued to smirk.

When they are done eating, they decided it is time to go and they got up putting the plates in the sink before walking towards the door.

Spike grabbed his keys to his car before walking out the house, "He is so oblivious", the father told his wife causing her to nod.

"Yeah, like you were when we were his age and we were at the beach", the woman smirked causing him to pout.

"I thought that you wanted me to rub sunscreen on you're back because you couldn't reach it", that caused her to giggle giving him a kiss.

With Six teen girls at school waiting for their two friends to show up, "(Groan), where are they", a girl with rainbow messy hair black sweat pants white shirt and blue and yellow jacket said in frustration.

But before her friends can tell her something, they heard an engine roar that made one of their friends get jump scared and hid behind them.

Then they saw a dark green 2016 Dodge Charger SRT Hell Cat pull up with a nervous Twilight in the front seat glaring at her smirking brother.

"Damn it Spike you are not street racing", she quickly getting out and closing the car door.

"I don't mind trying it one day, morning Rainbow Dash Applejack Sunset Rarity Fluttershy and Pinkie", he greeted his friends while they greeted back, he is taller then all of them.

"Sup big guy, ready for practice after school", the athletic girl said smirking before he nodded and they high fived.

Then he smirked, "Race you to the lockers", he ran inside the building causing her to accept the challenge and run after him.

"Those two will never stop challenging each other", the fashionista told her friends while shaking her head causing them to nod.

"Yup, it's like they have a lot in common...almost like they are ment for each other and don't realise it", the cowgirl smirked suddenly causing the girls to smirk too and nod.

Back with the two friends, they reached the lockers at the same time, "Ha, totally beat you", the rainbow haired athletic smirked causing him to glare.

"In your dreams Dashie, I beat you", he told her causing her to glare back and grit her teeth.

"Fine, how about another challenge..after Basketball practice, me vs you in Super Smash Bros Ultimate", she challenged causing her friend to accept.

"It is on like Donkey Kong", her friend told her smirking.

"And just to make sure you do your best, if you beat me...I'll let you drive my car when we go to the Arcade tomorrow", that made her eyes widen and sparkle.

"Y-You'll let me drive your car if I win", she said in shock causing him to nod, then she gave a determined face.

"You're going down big guy", she's willing to drive his car since she never got a chance to ever since he first got it.

Then suddenly another female athletic student with a black and yellow jacket, baby blue shirt and blue pant with holes in the front walked up to them smirking, she also has two shades of yellow in her hair that is short.

"Sup Spike sup Dash, ready for practice after school", she spoke causing the boy to nod while fist bumping her, but the rainbow haired girl is glaring at her.

"Sup Lighting Dust, the real question should be...are you ready to kick Crystal Preps ass for the first time", he asked putting on a smirk causing her to nod.

"Hell yeah I am, anyways you up for the Arcade after we win", that caused her athletic rivals eyes to widen.

Before their male friend can say anything, "Beat it Lightning, Spike is going with me to the Arcade tomorrow after we win", the rainbow haired girl told her glaring while unintentionally grabbing the boys arm.

"Yeah I'm going with her tomorrow after we win, sorry", that caused her to shrug and open up her locker getting her books.

"Suit yourself, see you two after school during practice", she started walking away towards class while the blue skinned athlete continued to glare at her, not seeing her friends who saw most of it smirking at her.

"Uh Rainbow...you can let go of my arm now", the boy is looking at her with a raised eyebrow, the athletic girl blushed slightly and quickly let go of him.

"Come on girls and Spike, lets get to class before we are tardy", Twilight told them causing them to nod, once everyone finished taking their books out of the lockers, they started walking towards their class.

"So what was Lightning Dust talking to you two about?", Rarity asked out of curiosity causing her athletic friend to glare and the boy to shrug.

"She was just wondering if I can join her celebrating at the Arcade tomorrow after we win, that's all", Spike told them.

"Yeah, but too bad for her that he's going with me", Rainbow Dash said smirking causing the girls to raise eyebrows at that.

"You sound more possessive over him then Winona with a raw hide bone", Applejack said chuckling causing her athletic friend to glare at her with a red face.

Suddenly Pinkie smirked at a thought, "Hey Dashie, do you secretly have a crush on-Hey Spike I'll race you to class", the athletic girl cut the party loving girl off before running off.

Her friend smirked and accepted the challenge before running after her, "She likes him, I just know it", their fashion loving friend smirked.

"How do you know Rarity", their pink haired shy timid friend asked confused.

"The way she was holding his arm and the way she told Lightning to get lost, she had that look in her eyes that said that he is mine", the diva explained.

"I don't mind my brother and Rainbow Dash dating", Twilight spoke smiling, hoping that her athletic friend can confess to her brother one day.

"Maybe one day I'll throw them a congratulations on becoming a couple party", their pink party loving friend said excitedly.

"Speaking of dating, don't you think it's time for us to start dating", Sunset spoke turning to her suddenly blushing friends.

"O-Oh my...me d-dating some boy f-from school", they barley heard their shy friend say while hiding her blushing face behind her hair.

Fluttershy is blushing more whenever they passed by a boy and they looked at her, she is having a hard time not imagining some random cute boy asking her out on a date.

"Uh, I rather wait till I find the right one....plus I don't want to be held responsible if Big Mac puts some poor fella in the Hospital cause he got a little too close to me", Applejack told them with a chuckle.

"Well I think it's a great idea that we start meeting some boys, look at Sweetie Belle...she has her boyfriend Button Mash", Rarity told them smiling, she wouldn't mind having a man in her life.

They continued to talk of wondering if they should start dating or not while they continue to walk to class.

With the two athletic friends making it to class a little out of breath, "Yeah, suck it Spike...I beat you", the athletic girl told her friend smirking causing him to scoff.

"Yeah right, I totally made it first Dashie", he said smirking back at her, then they had a little scuffle of who made it to class first.

After awhile class started and soon everyone is in their seats, "Alright class, let's get our books out and turn to page Thirty", the teacher told them while they did as their told.

"Damn it Pinkie...how did you find out, h-he can't know about it", Rainbow inwardly said to herself frowning before focusing on her school work.

Later that day after school, they are at basketball practice in their uniform talking about the big game tomorrow and they are determined to finally win.

"Aright maggots listen up, tomorrow is the big game and I want you all to give it your best so we can finally bring a basketball trophy to CHS", the couch told the students causing the athletes to cheer.

"We won't let you down Coach Will", Spike said smirking causing the adult to nod, soon practice began and everyone is playing basketball.

It is Spike, Rainbow Dash, Soarin and Thunderlane going up against Fleetfoot, Spitfire, Lightning Dust and Flash Sentry since they decided to play a short game.

Some other members of the basketball team are practicing on another basketball court having their own mini game.

"Ready to go down Dust", the athletic boy spoke smirking while bouncing the ball.

"No, you ready to lose to a girl Sparkle", she got ready to take the ball from him, the boy didn't say anything and ran around her bouncing the ball.

She is trying to take the ball away before he passed it to Rainbow when she is opened, the athletic girl shoot and made it causing her to smirk and high five her team mates.

Lightning grabbed the ball and passed it to Spitfire while Soarin is trying to take the ball away from her, he almost did but she ran around him and shot the ball scoring a point for her team causing them to cheer.

Rainbow grabbed the ball and passed it to Soarin when she saw he is opened, he dribbled the ball before passing it to Spike and he shot it right away scoring a point.

A few hour's later, Spike is at Rainbow Dash's place and they sat down on the couch since they just walked in the house.

"Ready to lose big guy", the athletic girl told him smirking before turning her Nintendo Switch on and the TV too.

"Wait, what do you get if you win", she suddenly asked confused causing him to start thinking.

"Huh, never really thought of that", he said wondering what would she should give him if he wins, after awhile he couldn't think of anything that she'll give him if he wins.

"Well I can't think of anything you can give me", he told her suddenly before they both shrugged and got the game started.

"Alright time to lose big guy, I'm gonna drive that badass car of yours tomorrow", the athletic girl suddenly told him smirking while picking Sheik.

"The only way I'm gonna let you drive my baby around is in your dreams Dashie", he told her smirking while picking Ryu.

"Five lives Delfino Plaza", she put five lives on before picking the Mario stage.

After awhile the match started and the two characters started fighting and jumping around while the stage is moving.

As the two athletes are playing, they started talking all of a sudden, "Hey Rainbow, do you think there is something going on between Twilight and Micro Chip", the boy asked smirking still.

"Now that you mention it, I heard him asking her if she likes to go to Sugarcube Corner to grab a milkshake", her character grabbed a bomb and threw it blowing his character up.

"So they're on a date then, no wonder she told me she'll be home later...they're probably gonna go to the Museum or Aquarium for a date", he snickered causing her to nod.

"Yup, that's how probably eggheads date...going someplace nerdy and study and learn together", they laughed.

"Ha, you got one life left Dashie", he suddenly said smirking causing her to panic now.

Then she kicked his character off stage before grabbing a Heart Container when it appeared, she had no damage points now and Spike has one life also.

"This is it big guy, we each have one life left", she told him with determination all over her face willing to win.

Then the characters started battling it out while dodging the hits or item throws, "Three Pokeballs, game over Dash", the boy suddenly said smirking after he broke a box and grab the item's throwing them on the floor causing the Pokemon to come out and deal damage.

Rainbow Dash's character got sent flying off stage ending the game, she cursed under her breath and sighed in disappointment.

He saw this and wrapped an arm around her, "You really wanted to drive my car huh", she nod and not realizing that he pulled her close.

"Ah what the hell, you can drive us to the Arcade tomorrow after we win", that caused her to perk up and turn to him in shock.

"Y-You'll still let me drive your car", she said in shock still while he nodded.

Then she suddenly jumped up excitedly and started doing a little dance, "Uh huh, I get to drive my very first fast car and it's a Dodge Charger", she sang a little.

Her friend watched her dancing all while trying to hold in a laugh, the two teens failed to see a car pull up and two adults getting out of it while one is smirking and the other is glaring.

They walked up to the house and opened the door to see their eldest daughter stop her dance and turn to them when she heard the door shut.

"Hey mom dad", she walked up to them while the boy got up and decided to go home.

"I'm go gonna head home now Dash, see you tomorrow at school", he said smiling before opening the door.

"Later Spike, see you tomorrow", the athletic girl said smiling while her mother smirked at her, soon the boy got in his car and drove home.

"Is your sister home yet", the woman asked while her daughter shook her head no.

"She text me saying she's gonna be spending time with Rumble at the Arcade", the athletic girl told her mother.

Later when it is dark and Spike is home eating dinner with his family, "So you were sharing a milkshake with a boy from school", Velvet spoke smirking with a raised eyebrow.

"We weren't sharing a milkshake mom, we were just hanging out talking about school stuff", the book worm told her mother blushing with a glare.

"Is that what they call dates now, hanging out", Velvet asked causing her daughter to blush more.

"I wanna meet this boy before you start dating young lady", Night Light told her causing her to glare at him.

After awhile of embarrassing talking about Twilight dating and finding who the boy is thanks to her brother, it is time for bed.

At the Dash's residents, Rainbow is in her bedroom with sleep shorts and a shirt laying down in bed staring at the ceiling.

"I need to find out how Pinkie know about my crush on Spike, I hope she don't tell anyone...especially him", she said to herself before closing her eyes to sleep so she can focus on the game tomorrow.
