Starfleet Season 2 (Rewrite)

One day, their majesties were out for their morning flight over New Canterlot. They have just finished raising the sun and were heading home. Ever since meeting Sapphire's pokemon, the two of them were interested in getting some pokemon of their own, but they both decided that having a two headed dragon in their palace would be good enough. They loved seeing everything calm and peaceful, until they heard screams of panic in the streets. "What was that?" Celestia asked. The two looked behind them and saw James and Jesse in the streets of New Canterlot. Their majesties landed before the two. "What do you two want?" Grand Ruler snarled.

James chuckled. "We're just bored so we decided to have a little fun."

"Well, your fun time is over. Now leave." Celestia demanded. Jesse laughed. "You're gonna have to make us, your majesty." Their majesties growled and lunged at the two minions. Jesse and James dodged and landed behind their majesties. The civilians took cover just before the shields were raised and the alarm was sounded.

"Try to get us." James taunted. Their majesties flew right towards the two minions. At the last second. James and Jesse threw two blue rings connected with a white rope at their majesties. They locked around their waists and the two fell to the ground

“Huh?” Grand Ruler said. Jesse and James laughed.

“You two can’t do anything with those rings around you. They neutralize your magic and your abilities to fly.” Jesse laughed. “That makes it easier for us to capture you and bring you to the boss.”

Their majesties growled at them. Meowth appeared in their signature balloon and activated the grabbing claw. The hand grabbed their majesties. “Hehe, now let’s take you two to the boss.” Meowth said. Jesse and James leaped into the balloon and were taking off when…

Amphoras rammed the basket of the balloon, rocking Team Rocket inside. “What was that?” Jesse cried. Ampharos landed on the ground as Sapphire and the team appeared on the scene. “Team Rocket, give their majesties back!” Lightning demanded.

“Give me back my sister and brother-in-law!” Luna added.

“You’ll have to find them first.” James said. Suddenly, smoke came out from the balloon, blanketing the area in thick, black smoke. “Wah!” the gang cried. They coughed until the smoke cleared. “Their gone!” Buddy cried.

“And they have their majesties!” Pinkie cried. “We’ve gotta find them.”

“We will.” Sapphire took out another pokeball. “Noctowl, come on out!” she tossed it into the air and Noctowl appeared. “Noctowl.”

“Noctowl, find Team Rocket’s balloon.” Sapphire said. Noctowl nodded and flew off with the team following behind.

Meanwhile, Team Rocket had landed a few yards away from New Canterlot, in a large field. Their majesties were out of the grabber hand. “Hehe, once we get you both to the boss, he’ll give us a promotion!” Jesse cried with glee.

Their majesties tried to use their magic but the rings prevented them from doing so. “Your magic is useless as long as you both have those rings on.” Meowth said.

Their majesties growled at them when they all heard a loud, “Pidgeot!”

They all looked up and saw a large Pidgeot diving right towards them. “Wah!” Team Rocket moved out of the way, but the Pidgeot grabbed their majesties by the rope, carrying them into the air.

Grand Ruler struggled to get out of the bird’s grasp, but it didn’t work. “Not good.” he said.

“Now what?” Celestia whimpered.

“Noctowl!”

“Huh?” Their majesties and Pidgeot looked and saw a Noctowl coming right towards them. “Noctowl!” Celestia cried with glee. Noctowl cried out and dove towards the Pidgeot’s legs reading a Steel Wing attack, but the Pidgeot flew up and dodged it. Noctowl turned around and flew right at Pidgeot. Pidgeot unleashed and Air Cutter attack, but Noctowl dodged them. And Noctowl used Steel Wing and rammed the Pidgeot’s legs, causing it to drop their majesties. “YAHHHHH!” they screamed.

Noctowl tried to fly down and grab them, but the Pidgeot wasn’t going to let another bird steal it’s prey. It unleashed another Air Cutter attack at the owl pokemon, forcing it to dodge. The two bird pokemon continued to fight while their majesties crashed into the forest below. “Oof.” The two bird pokemon continued to battle until they separated and flew the Pidgeot flew away. Noctowl scanned the area, looking for their majesties but he didn’t see any sign of them. So he had no choice but to go back.

The two ponies groaned as they got to their feet. “Where are we now?” Celestia asked. Her husband looked around at the wild wooded area and came to a startling conclusion, “I think we’re in New Everfree Forest.”

“What?!”

“I’m afraid so. That bird carried us farther away than I thought.”

“So.. what do we do?”

Grand Ruler sighed, “We’ll have to find a way back.”

Celestia grimaced, “I was afraid you would say that, darling.” Grand Ruler could see his wife was distressed and hugged her, “Don’t worry, darling. We’ll make it through. We have each other.”

Celestia smiled at him and returned the hug, “Right.”

“Well… we better get walking.” Celestia nodded and the two set off into the forest.

Meanwhile, back in New Canterlot, Lightning and Luna were pacing back and forth in the throne room with worry.

“Not good. Not good. Not good.” Lightning said.

“This is bad, this is bad, this bad.” Luna said.

Their friends only watched them. They understood how they felt. Luna already lost her sister and brother-in-law once and she didn’t want that to happen again, but it did. To Lightning, Grand Ruler was like his foster father. He took him in when he was in trouble and the thought of losing him was too much.

Finally, Starla came up to the two of them. “Lightning, Princess Luna don’t worry, we’ll find them.”

“How?” Luna asked. “I can’t track their magic.”

“I can use Noctowl for an aerial search again.” Sapphire offered. “And Lycanroc can pick up their scent and track it.”

Luna smiled gratefully at Sapphire, “Thank you Sapphire.” Sapphire took out two pokeballs. “Noctowl, Lycanroc come on out!”

She tossed them in the air and Noctowl and Lycanroc (Midday form) were released.

“Noctowl.”

“Lycanroc.”

“Noctowl, Lycanroc, I need you to track Team Rocket’s balloon.” Sapphire ordered. Noctowl and Lycanroc nodded and they both headed out. “Let’s go.”

Lightning and the others nodded and they followed the bird and wolf pokemon out of the palace.

Jesse and James were sitting against the basket with Jesse holding the key. “Well those two are still vulnerable while I have the key.” she said.

“Maybe we’ll get lucky and those two will come right back to us.” James said.

“Do you really think those two will do that?”

“.... No way.” they said in unison.

“Well we better find them.” James said.

Then…

“Team Rocket!” a voice called.

James and Jesse looked and saw Sapphire and the team with Noctowl and Lycanroc. “Alright, give back their majesties.” Sapphire demanded.

“Wait! Time out! The royals were stole got stolen.” Jesse exclaimed.

“What do you mean ‘stolen’?” Artie asked.

One explanation later...

“WHAT?! So a giant Pidgeot grabbed their majestie while they were both still locked together?!” Lightning summarized.

“You got it.” James replied.

“Great.” Artie grumbled. “Now what?”

“I’ll tell you what. We’ll find those two first and bring them to the boss.” Jesse said. “It’ll be easy since our rings prevent them from using their magic or flying away. Let’s go, James.”

“Right.” She and James leaped into the balloon and swiftly took off. “Oh no, we’ve gotta find them before they do.” Lightning said.

“Right. Noctowl, Lycanroc.”

Noctowl and Lycanroc nodded. Noctowl took to the skies while Lycanroc sniffed the ground. “Luna, do you have anything with their majesties scent on it?” Sapphire asked.

“Their scent. Let me think…. Oh, they sometimes hug me. Would that work?” Luna asked. Lycanroc sniffed Luna. “Lycanroc.”

“You got the scent!”

Lycanroc nodded, “Lycanroc.”

“Alright then, let’s go!” Sapphire exclaimed.

“Right.” the other said. And they followed Lycanroc as she sprinted off.

Their majesties were still walking through the forest until they came to a swampland consisting of mangroves and bubbling swamp water. “New Froggy Bottom Bog.” Grand Ruler said.

“How are we gonna get across?” Celestia asked. There were some solid patches of ground near the two of them, “We can use those.”

“Alright.” The two of them walked on the patches of ground through the bog, unaware of many pairs of eyes staring at them. They were still walking through the bog unaware they were being watched. Then they both heard a growling sound and Celestia put a hand on her stomach. “Are you alright, Celestia?” Grand Ruler asked.

“I’m alright, my love. Just a little hungry.” Suddenly, a green fog came over them and they smelled something horrible and starting coughing. “Cough, cough… what is that horrible smell?” Celestia asked. That’s when they noticed a large shadow with four necks towering over them. Also, they heard another growl, “... Darling, please tell me that was your stomach.” Grand Ruler said.

“...Nope.”

Slowly turning around, the two of them were greeted by a large creature with four heads on long snake-like necks and a large, orange, dragon-like body, with only two legs and no wings or arms and the other was a large cat like creature with bat wings and a scorpion tail.

Names: Hydra and Manticore.

Their majesties looked at each other and the two monsters and decided the best course of action would be too…

“RUN!” Grand Ruler and Celestia bolted away from the two creature who roared and chased after them. The two of them rushed over the patches of ground and up onto a large hill. “Faster darling.” Grand Ruler said. The manticore roared, flew over their majesties and landed in front of them. Their majesties tried to skid to a stop, but the momentum of their running made them skid right into the manticore, which bashed them into the air. The two crashed on the ground on the other side of the hill. “Something tells me this isn’t over.” Celestia whimpered.

“Indeed.” her husband agreed. They both heard the hydra roar and saw the two creature dashing towards them. They quickly got up and ran away from the two once again. Celestia stopped at a cliff but her husband didn’t see this until he knocked into her, sending them both falling down the cliff.

They heard the two roars again and saw the hydra and manticore bolting down the cliff towards them. “Hurry, Celesto!” Celestia exclaimed. The two continued running away but the manticore and hydra were gaining on them. Finally, the were corner by a chasm. The chasm didn’t have any pillars for them to jump on and there was a large river below. “Now what?” Celestia whimpered.

The hydra and manticore caught up with them and growled aggressively. The hydra licked its lips, ready to eat the two while the manticore readied it’s tail. The two of them gulped nervously. They needed a miracle to escape these two.

Just then…

“Eevee!”

“Litleo!” A burst of fire and purple ball hit the manticore, making it roar in pain. “Huh?” Celestia said. They all looked and saw two other creatures, although these two were pokemon.

Two of the four were mammalian, quadruped creature with primarily brown fur. The tip of its bushy tail and its large furry collar are cream-colored. They both had short, slender legs with three small toes and a pink paw pad on each foot. They had brown eyes, long pointed ears, and a small black nose.

The other two looked like lion cubs. They are mostly dark brown in color with pale brown paws, ears, tail tip, and face. They had a short, rounded muzzle with a reddish orange nose and round ears. Their eyes are circular with black irises and white pupils and sclera. There is a reddish orange tuft of fur between their ears. Each of their paws has three toes and a dark brown paw pad. Their tail ends in a pointed, teardrop shape.
They were both growling at the manticore and hydra.

The manticore and hydra growled at the two of them. The two eevee’s leaped into the sky and launched stars from their tails, striking the ground near the hydra and manticore, kicking up a lot of dirt. The two Litleo’s rushed towards their majesties and pulled on their gown and cape. “You want us to follow you?” Celestia asked.

The Litleo’s nodded. “Alright.” Their majesties followed the four pokemon out of the bog and back into the forest. The manticore and hydra looked around and saw their prey missing. They were not happy.

Meanwhile, their majesties and were led by the two Eevee’s and Litleo’s to a clearing in the forest. “Thanks for saving us.” Celestia panted.

“Indeed, we are most grateful.” Grand Ruler added. The Eevee and Litleo smiled.

“Eevee.”

“Litleo.”

“Now we better find someplace to hide and rest.” Grand Ruler said.

“Eevee.” The two Eevee’s were pointing ahead of them. “You know someplace where we can rest?” Celestia asked. The two Eevee’s nodded and set off with the two Litleo’s following behind. “Shall we?” Celestia asked.

“We shall.” Grand Ruler asked. And their majesties followed the four pokemon.

Luna and the team followed Lycanroc to New Froggy Bottom Bog. Lycanroc continued sniffing the ground until he cried, “Lycanroc roc.”

“What is it, Lycanroc?” Sapphire asked.

Lycanroc pointed to the ground and the team two two sets of boot prints. “Boot prints?” Lightning said.

“They looked my sister and brother-in-laws bootprints.” Luna identified. Sapphire followed the prints and saw two large set of footprints in the same direction as the bootprints. “And based on these other two sets of tracks, I’d say and hydra and manticore were chasing them.” she said.

“What?!” Pinkie cried.

“Those two won’t stand a chance against them without their magic and wings!” Artie exclaimed. Lycanroc sniffed the four sets of prints until they came to the bottom of the hill and to the edge of the chasm. “Lycanroc, roc, Lycanroc.”

“Really?” Sapphire asked.

“What did it say?” Buddy asked.

“He said two more pokemon were here.”

“Two more pokemon?” Luna asked.

“Yes.”

That’s when they heard Noctowl’s cry and saw the owl pokemon descending towards them. “Did you find anything?” Sapphire asked. Sadly, Noctowl shook it’s head.

“It’s alright, Noctowl. You deserve a good rest.” Sapphire returned Noctowl to his pokeball. “Let’s keep searching.” Artie said.

“Right.” the others said.

Soon, night had fallen and the pokemon led their majesties into a clearing they found. Celestia’s stomach growled this time. “I’m rather famished from that chase.” Celestia said, rubbing her stomach.

“Me too.” Grand Ruler added, feeling his own stomach growling. The two haven't had anything to eat all day and now they were both running on empty.

“Eevee.”

“Litleo.”

“Huh?” Their majesties turned and saw the two Eevee and Litleo holding apples in their mouths. They placed them on the floor and nudged them towards their majesties. “Are those for us?” Grand Ruler asked.

The Eevee and Litleo nodded. “Thanks.” Grand Ruler said.

Their majesties gratefully took two apples each and ate them, much to the Eevee and Litleo’s joy. Soon, the six of them fell asleep for the night.

The next morning, their majesties and the pokemon woke up. Their majesties yawned and the Eevee and Litleo nuzzled them.

They all stood up in the clearing and suddenly heard, “Pidgeot!”

Looking into the sky, they saw the same Pidgeot from before. “Wah!” Their majesties ran for it with the Eevee and Litleo’s right behind them. Suddenly, the hydra and manticore appeared in front of them blocking their escape route. “There’s a manticore and hydra in front of us and a Pidgeot right behind.” Grand Ruler said.

The Pidgeot, hydra and maticore were closing in on their majesties, who stood back to back with each other. “What are we gonna do?” Celestia said.

The two Eevee stood in front of Grand Ruler, facing the Pidgeot while the two Litleo’s stood in front of Celestia, facing the hydra and manticore. The Pidgeot, hydra and manticore were getting closer. “This looks bad.” Grand Ruler whimpered.

Just then…

Luna and Lightning came leaping over a cliff. “Sister! Master!”

“Lightning! Luna!” their majesties cried.

Sapphire took out her pokemon ball. “Lycanroc, go!” she tossed the pokeball and Lycanroc (Midnight Form) appeared in front of their majesties. “Lycanroc.”

“Lycanroc, don’t let the hydra and manticore get their majesties!” Sapphire ordered. Lycanroc charged the two beasts and slashed them with a Crush Claw attack.

Noctowl unleashed an Aerial Ace attack, striking the Pidgeot and sending it backwards.

The manticore and hydra both roared at Lycanroc. "Lycanroc, use your Stone Edge, now!”

Lycanroc cried out and punched the ground making large, blue, glowing stones appear. The stones moved towards the hydra and manticore sticking them hard and sending them into the air and far, far away. Noctowl blasted the Pidgeot with it’s Hyper Beam attack, sending it flying away as well.

Their majesties both gave a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness.” Celestia said.

Luna and Lightning rushed towards them and hugged them. “Thanks goodness you’re both alright. We were so worried.” Luna said.

“It’s okay, sister. We’re alright.” Celestia reassured. Lightning’s unit came up to them. “Queen Celestia, Grand Ruler, are you okay?” Artie asked.

“We’re fine. Thanks to these four.” Celestia replied, gesturing towards the Eevee and Litleo. “Woah, two Eevee and Litleo. Cool.” Sapphire said.

“Not so fast, ponies!” a voice said. That’s when the team saw Jesse, James and Meowth in their balloon. “We’ll be taking those royal ponies now, thank you.” Jesse called.

Lightning, Luna, the team and pokemon stood in front of their majesties. “Not a chance, Team Rocket!” Lightning snarled. Jesse Jesse sent out other pokemon at her disposal. “Arbok, Poison Sting!” Jesse said, tossing her pokeball. Arbok came out and unleashed sharp, pointed spikes from its mouth. The Litleo’s leaped forwards and blasted the Poison Sting with their Flamethrower attack. The attack countered the Poison Sting and blasted Arbok as well. He fell down covered in soot marks.

"Nice Litleo." Lightning said.

Eevee then rushed froward and leaped into the air. Red, glowing cards surrounded him and he launched them at Arbok. The snake cried in pain as he flew back and into Jesse and James. The key flew out of Jesse's hands and into Sapphire's. "Alright, I got the key!" With that, she unlocked their majesties. "Thank goodness." Grand Ruler said.

"Litleo! Eevee!"

Their majesties looked at the Eevee and Litleo. "Alright then. Attack!" Grand Ruler and Celestia said in unison.

The Eevee and Litleo leaped into the air and unleashed Swift an Flamethower. The two attacks combined and struck the ground, sending Team Rocket flying into the air. "Those two are worth more trouble then they're worth!" Meowth exclaimed.

"For once I agree with you." Jesse said.

"We're blasting off again." Team Rocket cried and they flew far away. Eevee and Litleo landed back on the ground. "Alright you two!" Lightning cheered.

"Eevee."

"Litleo."

Eevee and Litleo ran to their majesties and they leaped into their arms. "Hehehe, good battling you two." Grand Ruler said. "And thanks for saving us."

Eevee and Litleo smiled.

"Eevee."

"Litleo."

"I think they want to be your pokemon, your majesties." Sapphire said.

"Huh?" their majesties looked at the two Eevee and Litleo. "Really?"

"Eevee!"

"Litleo!"

"Alright then. Guess that mean we caught two Eevee and Litleo." Celestia said. The Eevee and Litleo's nuzzled their majesties as the others looked with happy smiles. Now the two have some pokemon to add to their family.
