Starfleet Season 2 (Rewrite)

One day Mykan, Lightning, Rainbow and Starla were eating lunch at the Cake's cafe. "So any sign of Team Rocket?" Starla asked.

"Nothing yet." Lightning replied. "That's a good thing."

Suddenly, the door burst opened and in came Lycanroc (Dusk Form). The wolf pokemon looked really distressed and came over to Lightning's table. "Lycanroc, Lycan." he cried.

"Lycanroc, what's wrong?" Mykan asked. The wolf pokemon pulled on his cape. "Something must be wrong." Starla said.

"Let's go see." Mykan said. The four friends followed the wolf pokemon through town and to an alleyway. "Lycanroc." Looking down the alleyway, the four friends gasped at what they saw before them.

Sapphire was unconscious on the ground with bruises and lacerations on her body. Ampharos was staring at her with heavy concern. "Ampharos."

"Galloping Galaxies!" Lightning cried. He and the others rushed to Sapphire's side. "Sapphire? Sapphire, say something." Mykan said.

All he got in response was a groan. "This is bad, we gotta get her to the hospital." Starla said. "Now!"

"Right." Rainbow quickly and gently picked up Sapphire and they all rushed to New Ponyville Hospital.

Rainbow burst into the hospital. "Princess, injured!" she called.

Immediately, some doctors and nurses came out. "What happened?" the doctor asked.

"We just found her unconscious in an alleyway." Rainbow replied. The nurses placed Sapphire on a stretcher. Mykan and the others arrived and were all told to wait in the waiting room. The nurses rolled into the ER and the light turned on. Now all the friends could do was wait.

Hours have passed when the red light diminished and Dr.Penny came into the waiting room. "Dr. Penny, how is she?" Mykan asked.

"She only had some major lacerations on her body and a sprained ankle. Other than that, she'll make a full recovery." Penny replied. Mykan and the others sighed in relief. "Can we see her?" Rainbow asked.

Penny nodded, "She's awake right now, this way." Penny led them to Sapphire's hospital room. Sapphire was sitting up against the pillows in her bed. "Hey guys." she greeted in a woozy tone.

"Hey Sapphire, how are you feeling?" Starla asked.

"Really woozy and sore." Sapphire replied.

"Well, that's to be expected after what you went through." Penny added. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have more patients to attend to."

Penny left the room, leaving Sapphire with her four friends. "Sapphire, how did you end up in that alleyway?" Starla asked.

"Yeah, so we can kick his butt." Rainbow exclaimed.

Sapphire tried to recall the event but with her headache and her wooziness, it was difficult. "Ugh... sorry guys... my head hurts too much to recall it." she groaned.

"That's alright, Sapphire, you can tell us when you feel better." Mykan said.

"Come on, let's leave Sapphire alone to rest." Lightning suggested. With that the friends all left so Sapphire could heal. Walking out of the hospital, Rainbow inquired, "So how are we gonna figure out who assaulted Sapphire?"

"I don't think we can without Sapphire's story." Starla said.

"Lycanroc!"

"Ampharos!"

"Huh?" The friends turned and saw Ampharos and Lycanroc. Ampharos was pointing at himself and Lycanroc. "Ampharos, Ampha."

"Ampharos, Lycanroc, what is it?" Starla asked.

"Lycanroc, Lycan."

"Sorry, we don't speak Pokemon." Mykan replied. Ampharos and Lycanroc sighed. "But we know someone who can." Lightning added with a smile on his face.

The gang were soon at Fluttershy's cottage. Having told Fluttershy and Rhymey what happened the two of them were horrified and angered.

"Who could have done such a thing?" Fluttershy asked.

"Sapphire is sweet as pie,
And someone hurting her?
Me oh my." Rhymey added.

"We think Lycanroc and Ampharos might know about what happened but we can't translate their speech, which is why we came to you." Rainbow explained.

"Sure, I can tell what they're saying." Fluttershy said. "So which one of you wants to go first?"

Lycanroc stepped forward. "Lycanroc, Lycan."

"Lycanroc says it all started late last night." Fluttershy began.

Flashback

Lycanroc was walking through the town at night, looking from side to side for anything weird. Suddenly he saw a light pink beam shooting out from an alley. He knew that pink magic aura anywhere; Sapphire. Suddenly, everything went dark for moment. Lycanroc also heard screaming and thuds coming from the alley. He headed towards the scene when he bumped into something. Instinctively, he bit it and it cried in pain. "OW!"

He pulled and pulled, but whatever it was managed to get loose and run away. When the light shined once again all that was left in front of Lycanroc was a tuft of hair. By that time, it was morning!

Heading towards the alleyway, Lycanroc saw Sapphire unconscious on the ground. He gasped and immediately went to the castle to get some help, but he bumped into Ampharos. Taking the light pokemon to the alleyway, he gasped as well.

He told Ampharos to wait while he went to get her friends and with that e dashed off to get some help for Sapphire.

End of Flashback

"Lycanroc."

"And you know the rest."

"Woah." Lightning and the others gasped. "That's intense." Mykan commented.

"So that's weird. Sapphire must have blasted that pink beam, but why would the moonlight go out?" Starla asked.

"Maybe she has the power to turn the moon off and on?" Rainbow suggested.

"No that's silly, Rainbow. Only Princess Luna has the power to control the moon." Lightning stated.

"But hey, you never know with Sapphire. She has the power to change into animals and weilds seven Elements of Harmony. Who's to say what she can't do." Mykan explained.

"Hmm... true." Lightning said.

"Alright, now for Ampharos's side of the event." Fluttershy said.

"Ampharos, Ampharos."

"It all started late last night." Fluttershy began again.

Flashback

Ampharos was just sitting on the castle steps, staring at the moon and the stars. Suddenly there a pink beam of light shooting into the sky. The light hit the moon and a instant later the moon's light went out, covering the area in darkness. That's when he heard some screaming and thunds coming from nearby.

Wanting to see what happened, he got up and staring heading in that direction. A moment later, it was bright again and it was daytime!

That's when Lycanroc crashed into me, looking really distressed. He guided me to the alley where I saw Sapphire laying on the ground. I noticed some fur near her and some specks of blood as well. Lycanroc told Ampharos to stay with Sapphire while he went to get some help. He nodded and the wolf pokemon dashed away. Ampharos carefully took out a small transparent plate and picked up the patches of dirt with the blood and fur on it.

When he was done, that's when Lightning and the others showed up.

End of Flashback

"And that was it." Fluttershy ended.

"So Ampharos and Lycanroc both gathered something at the crime scene. Can we see them?" Lightning asked.

Lycanroc and Ampharos nodded and got out the tuff of fur and the little container of blood out and gave it to Lightning. "Thanks. With this we can figure out who did this."

"You mean whom? Cause from the sound of it, there was more than one assaulter in this." Mykan said.

"Mykan's right. But the blood and fur are our first clues. I'll take this to the Professor so he can analyze it." Starla flew out of the cottage and towards the royal palace. "Now all we can do is wait for the results to come back and that Sapphire gets released soon." Lightning said.

"Hey guys." Sapphire said, standing in the doorway.

"Hi Sapphire." Rainbow greeted nonchalantly. ".... SAPPHIRE?!" Everybody cried. Sapphire was on crutches with the bandages still around her body where the lacerations were present. She looked to be in a little pain. Mykan and Lightning rushed over and carefully guided her over to Fluttershy's couch.

"What are you doing here?!" Mykan exclaimed. "You should be back at the hospital!" Lightning added.

"I... ugh... got released early. Ugh... just.. told to take it... ugh... easy." she groaned.

Fluttershy went into the kitchen and returned with an ice pack. She placed it on Sapphire's head to ease the pain. "Thanks."

"So do you want to tell us what happened in the alleyway?" Applejack asked gently.

Sapphire nodded and began to explain, "It happened last night..."

Flashback

I was walking through New Ponyville by myself. Watching the night partrols and the owl flying through the skies. When suddenly...

"Hey!" a voice called.

I stopped in my tracks and turned around to be met by Ace Ray and two of his followers. They were both earth pony stallion with burly built bodies. One was dark brown with a green mane and tail while the other was black as night with a white mane and tail. I remember Ace Ray from my first encounter with him. "W-What do you want?"

"I think it's time for payback for our first encounter, Princess." Ace hissed. His friends cracked their knuckles and I knew what that meant. I ran away from them as fast as I could. "Get her!" Ace called. The three stallions chased me until I ran into the alleyway and found myself cornered. "Uh-Oh."

I hear Ace Ray laughing and turned around to see him and his friends approaching me. "Looks like this is the end of the line for you, Princess." Out of fear I blasted my magic into the sky and everything went dark for a moment. All I remembered after that was being thrown, punched and kicked by Ace and his followers. After that everything's just a blur until I woke up in the hospital.

End of Flashback

"Oh my goodness." Fluttershy whispered.

Mykan and Rainbow were outraged. "Ace has gone too far this time." Lightning fully agreed. Purposely assaulting an officer, not to mention a Princess was inexcusable. Starla came back into the cottage. "I got the results; the culprit is Ace Ray."

"Yeah, we know. Sapphire just told us." Rainbow replied. "Let's go and find that jerk."

"Right, Mykan take Sapphire to her castle and make sure she gets her rest." Lightning ordered. Mykan nodded and helped Sapphire to her feet. "Ready?"

"Yes." He pressed his teleporter and they were back in Sapphire's castle. The three Lycanrocs, Ampharos and the dragons approached them, all worried about Sapphire. "It's okay, everyone. Sapphire will be fine in a few days. Right now, she needs her rest." Mykan said.

"Umm... Mykan, would it be too much trouble for you to get me something to eat?" she asked, followed by her stomach growling. "That hospital food really didn't fill me up."

Mykan smiled at his girlfriend. "Of course, now come on, let's get you to bed." Mykan gently led Sapphire to her bedroom, flanked by the three Lycanrocs. Entering the room. Lycanroc (Midnight Form) pulled back the blanket and Sapphire gently climbed into bed. "There we go. I'll be back with your dinner." Mykan said.

"Alright." Sapphire replied. Mykan left the room and came back about ten minutes later with some soup. "Here's your soup." he said. Sapphire's stomach growled at the sight of it. "And not a moment too soon, my stomach hasn't been very happy." her stomach growled empathizing her point. Mykan giggled, "Well here you go." Mykan placed the soup in her lap and she graceously ate the soup until it was all gone. She gave a small burp, "Hehe, excuse me."

Mykan chuckled at her, "Now get some rest and I'll check up on you in a couple of hours."

"Alright Mykan." Mykan exited the room, leaving Sapphire to fall asleep with her three Lycanrocs by her side.
