My Little Pony: The Game
Guidance and Teaching
Previous ChapterNext Chapter"I see, that is quite a difficult situation to be in." Iroh said. After everything that's happened, I needed some spiritual guidance to help me through this.
It certainly wasn't easy to tell all of this to Iroh, and I almost broke down when I got to the betrayal, but Iroh had a certain demeanor and kind aura that made the prosses much easier for me.
"Yes it is, and I have no idea how to fix it or what to do. I decided that the best thing to do right now is to get help from someone, that being you, to get advice on what to do next." I said. Iroh then placed a hand on his chin, deep in thought.
He then closed his eyes while setting his tea on the counter. We were currently in a replica of the tea shop he owned in book 2, which we were using to talk more comfortably, rather than in the middle of an arena.
"The best way for you to get over your pain right now, is to help someone else through their struggles." He said as we both stood, as we walked towards the exit of the shop, he continued. "So find someone to help, and it will alleviate at least some of your pain. I'm sure your friends and mentor will come to the realization that you aren't the evil they have perceived you to be, and your bonds with them will heal." He ended.
I wiped a single tear from my eye that appeared during his speech, and smiled at him. I then took a more serious look, which caused a shift in atmosphere.
"Iroh, I have another request." I said, making him raise an eyebrow.
"I wish to become your student. I may not be able to bend, but having your guidance would certainly help me in my training." I said. Iroh then gained another thoughtful look, and then looked back to me with a smile.
"Of course! I would love to!" He said.
We spent the equivalent of 4 months maxing out my Kingdom Magic, and then dedicated 8 months to Calamity Magic, which was easier to max out due to its similarities and connection to Kingdom Magic.
? Magic was almost to simple to max out, only taking about 2 weeks. Apparently the difficulty of it is simply unlocking it, with all of its knowledge and power coming insanely quickly to those who unlock it. The requirements of gaining ? Magic is to fuse Kingdom Magic and Calamity Magic with someone who has an incredibly close connection to the spirit world, I absorbed Nightmare, and Nightmare is a Calamity Magic powered spirit of Luna's negative emotions, so boom, ? Magic.
I also came up with a name for the new magic, X-Magic, pronounced Key Magic, but referring to the variable X. Seriously, you can do anything with this magic! Want a planet? BOOM! There you go! Want a puppy? BIFF! There you go! It barley even uses any MP, it's insane!
On the day before I was going to say goodbye to Iroh, I had an idea. I then turned to him and he gave me a confused look.
"Iroh, I was thinking. X-Magic can do almost anything right?" He nodded to that. "And Firebenders get their powers from chi, right?" Another nod. "So, is it possible that I could simply make myself a Firebender?" Iroh looked at me with raised eyebrows, and set down the tea he was holding.
"It could certainly be possible. You don't seem to have any hard limits on X-Magic, so it is certainly possible." Iroh mentioned, with a nod, I began gathering my magic. I felt Iroh's chi networks, and did my best to recreating it in my own body.
Then everything went white.
New Skills:
Airbending-Lvl(1)
Waterbending-Lvl(1)
Earthbending-Lvl(1)
Firebending-Lvl(1)
Suddenly my eyes opened, and I was assaulted by the light of the waking world. As the haziness faded I noticed I was in a futon, with Iroh dabbing a wet cloth.
I also felt incredibly weak. I looked up at my Health and MP
Health-400,000/1,000,000
MP-1/80,000,000
Jesus Christ! How did that happen! I looked up at Iroh, as he looked at me with a relived smile. He placed the cloth down in cold water and poured some tea into the cup next to him.
"What, happened?" I asked, my voice a little horse. Iroh took a sip of the tea and placed it back on the tray.
"After you created a chi system in your body, it expanded itself within you. This expansion of energy caused most of your energy to be drained all at once. The initial drain put you into a coma, and your constantly expanding chi is keeping you from returning to full strength immediately. I do not think it is a very good idea to do that again anytime soon." He explained.
I attempted to lift myself up, but was stopped by Iroh, who pushed me back down.
"Your chi is constantly expanding itself to match the strength of your magic, so it will be a while before we can return to your training." Iroh said.
This was going to be a long recovery.
"You know, your original name would likely attract attention to yourself while your friends realize their mistakes. Picking a new name might be of use." Iroh said, pouring his 15th cup of fucking tea. Why would anyone need to drink that much tea?
"Well, it can't be anything close to my current name, so what is something that would have a big enough change to not be suspicious. Change." I rolled over my thoughts as Iroh drank his shitty black tea. Jasmine is way better anyways.
"You seem to be a catalyst for change, that would be a good choice." Iroh said with a chuckle, which made me smile as well.
"Well it would be to simple to just call myself that, so how about putting it into a different language." I said, mulling over the different languages. I eventually decided on one.
"In French it's Catalyseur. How about that?" Iroh gave me a smile as he poured another cup of tea, this time jasmine.
"I think it sound beautiful, like the letters flow over an ocean crashing against the beach." He said as we shared a laugh.
New Name: Catalyseur
I eventually recovered, and we began my Firebending training. It was a long process that included everything from internal heat to Lightningbending and Lightning Redirection. All in all the whole thing took about 10 months.
I can now comfortably say I can defeat Ozai during Sozin's Comet, and look badass while doin it.
Earthbending was not any harder, but it took much more time than Firebending. This was a combination of the fact that Iroh was a Firebender and just how many things Earthbending covers. Everything from Sand bending to Metalbending and even Lavabending took about 2 years.
Waterbending- like Firebending- took about 10 months to max out, and I could even Bloodbend on a level beyond Amon, which is a great accomplishment in my book.
Lastly was Airbending, yeah. That took much longer than the rest. I guess I found what my opposite element is. The gates didn't help at first, but through Iroh's help I found out how to overcome the difficulty.
I started to try to look at things differently, to ignore my instincts and look at every option, and then take the path of least resistance. It worked, and my skills in Airbending skyrocketed. Before we were pushing 3 years, but with this new method I finished mastering it in a month.
I'd say that we were pretty productive.
Today is the day, after all of the training, and the tea, I'm saying goodbye to Iroh.
I stood there, looking at him, he's done so much for me, and I can't thank him enough. I felt tears began to fall down my face, and I felt Iroh's hands wipe them away.
"Don't worry, this won't be goodbye forever, just goodbye for now. If you ever have the need, or just want to talk to an old man, then you can call upon me anytime." He said in a soothing voice. I responded with a huge hug which he returned.
Once we separated, Iroh started to leave the arena. His body was then surrounded by a beautiful whirl of fire of many colors.
And when it parted, he was gone.
