Sequel to The Soldier and Hope, which in turn is a sequel to Dawn’s intended result of Lost in the Mirror of Worlds.

Princess Meadow Dawn had finished helping her guest, Commander Twilight Sparkle, in containing a terrorist group led by Solar Flare. Things had settled down now that they were handled, and she and her family returned with the Commander to her version of Equestria to receive training. It didn’t help that her own Celestia commanded her to get a world-travelling mirror set up to keep in touch and probably meant to have Dawn try to guide the commander toward the Twilight Celestia thought she could be. She quickly found out just how much she had to know to be an effective leader (and frustrated the commander at the same time!) Now she had to learn all she would need to know to be a princess in name and education.

The road to being a proper leader was going to be a long one. Dawn had no training other than her common sense and mistakes, not that that said much. Now she had to learn to navigate magic properly, become physically fit, and learn how to manage all kinds of people, from noble-ponies to the common population to the Purists, who had no love for anyone changeling, hybrid or otherwise.
