                                                                       Chapter 1: Meeting New Friends

After years of hard work it has finally paid off. I've finally earned enough money to move out of my apartment and move into my new house in Ponyville.

I was so excited I couldn't bear it anymore! I packed up everything of mine and was ready to go. But before I headed out I stopped by the front desk to tell Windy Gale thanks.

"So finally moving out huh?" Asked Windy. I nodded "Yeah I am. I just wanted to say thank you for your kindness and hospliality. I hope someday I can repay you for it." I replied.

He shook his head "Hey no problem. It's the least I could do for a nice stallion like yourself. I hope you find what you're searching for Cody." Said Windy. I waved him goodbye as I headed towards my new home.

After a few hours on the train I've finally made it to Ponyville. It was a small town but it was really beautiful. "I could get use to this." I said.

As I boarded of the train and grabbed my stuff I could already sense that today was going to be very special. I then started to walk towards my new house.

I already got notice on where it was at but I just hope that it was good as the deal said it would be. After walk around for a couple of mintues I finally found my new house.

It was a descent sized house. It was a two story house with tan and brown paint all around it. Two windows up top and four windows at the bottom. It even had a basement.

I preceded into my house and get a better look. As I entered my house I saw that the paint was almost gone. But it didn't bother me I have all the time today to fix it up.

So I again preceded more so I can get better aquainted with my new surrondings. I have a descent kitchen, an amazing living room, two bathrooms on the first floor, and two guest rooms.

"Okay then now for upstairs." I said. I went upstairs and saw two more bath rooms, three guest rooms, one master bedroom, and a stairway to the attic. I first went into the main bedroom to unpack my stuff.

After a few minutes of unpacking I've finally finished! Now to decorate the house. Luckly I had some paint with me now it just as simple as 1, 2, and 3. I grabbed my brush and began to paint.

And after a few hours of painting it was done. On the first floor it was painted like their was a fire. It was a red and gold paint swirled around the walls and ceiling. And in the hallways were painted like you were looking at the ocean. A mixture of light blue, cyan, and dark blue in a votrex.

And finally the bedrooms. They were painted like the night sky but each once had a least 4 different zodiac signs drawn out on the ceiling so you could see them. The bathrooms didn't need paint it looked fine to me. I then took a quick shower so I could clean myself up.

And now after an hour in the shower and cleaning myself up I was ready to go into town! I grabbed the rest of the bits I had left and was begining to worry that I don't have enough to get some groceries.

"46 bits. Damn it. This might not be enough." I said. I then decided to just go with it and see what I can get. I then started to head in to town now to buy some gorceries.

As I got into town I stopped for a second to think on what I need. "Let's see... bread, apples, hay, dandelions, and... water. Their that should do it." I said to myself.

I then stopped by a few stands and got what I needed. And what's even more surrpirsing I was able to get everything and still have 26 bits left. I was smiling with joy cause I had enough to survive until I can get a job but I'll search for it tomorrow.

As I was walking back home I got a really weird felling that I was being watched. I turned around to see if my instincts were right. Nope nopony was there except the ones at the stands. I shurgged it off and started to head home.

[1st person]: Pinkie Pie

Today was such a great day! I gave Gummy a neat little bath. *giggle* He was so cute as he tried to bit one the bubbles.

I also stopped by Fluttershy's place and see if she wanted any help with her animals. She said it was fine so after that I decided to go stroll around town and just be happy today!

As I finshed my daily rounds of making my friends smile my Pinkie Sense went off. "Let's see.... Twitchy eye, itchy chin, and....... *gasp* wobbly legs! There's a new pegasus in town!"

I started to figure out who this new pony is. So I started to run until my pinkie sense went through the roof!  I walked for what seemed like hours until I've finally found him!

He was a red pegasus with red and gold on his mane and tail. His wings were totally different like somepony made them that way. And his Cutie Mark was also somthing new. Like some 21 year old man made it just to represent himself.

But before I decide to check on my suspicions I went to Twilights house and see if she new this pony.

[1st person] :Twilight Sparkle

As I was reading my book on "Natural Abilites" I was really intrigued on how some ponies have unqie abilites that could rival anyone even the Princesses. "Fascinating. Just simply Fascinating." I said. But just like always something goes wrong. And her name was Pinkie Pie.

She burst into the house with a surprise look on her face. "Twilight!" Said Pinkie. "What is it this time Pinkie? I'm in the middle of reading somthing very important." I replied.

"I've found a new combo today and it led to a new pony in town that I have never seen before. And if I haven't seen him before then that means he's all alone right now. And I decided to throw him a big welcome party!" Said Pinkie as she got too close to my face. "And let me guess. You want me to get the rest of the girls, spread the word about this new pony's party and try to bring him to SugarCube Coner for it?" I asked.

"Ooooo you're good. But yeah that's the plan." Said Pinkie. "Okay you get AppleJack And Fluttershy and I'll get Rarity and Rainbow Dash." I said. "Okie Dokie Lokie!" Said Pinkie as she hopped out of the house. I just shook my and got up to help Pinkie out.

I first went to Rarity's place since she's the closest. I opened the door and preceded inside. "Why hello there Twilight what can I do you for today?" Asked Rarity. "Well Pinkie saw a new pony in town and now she's gonna throw him a surspirse party at SugarCube Corner." I replied.

"Oh I see then. Well I'm not busy right now so I gues I can come along and help out with this party." Said Rarity. "Great. Now go spread the word and meet Me and Rainbow Dash there." I said. I then waved Rarity goodbye and went to go find Rainbow Dash. And if I was right she would be sleeping on her favorite tree.

I decided to walk over to the park first since she usally goes there for a nap. And after searching for a few mintues I found Rainbow Dash sleeping on a branch. I then trotted up to her and tried my best to get her up. "Hey Rainbow! Rainbow!" I yelled at her. "*grunting* What do you want Twilight? I was sleeping." Said Rainbow.

"Well Pinkie Pie is throwing a welcome party to a new pegasus that had arrived in town. And we need your help with this." I said. "*yawn* Fine I'll be there." Said Rainbow. "Great the party is at SugarCube Corner." I replied. "Yeah yeah yeah. I'll be there." Said Rainbow.

I then began to walk back into town and find this new pegasus. So far I've only asked a few ponies who knew what he looked like but no idea where he lives. This was becoming a real nuisance. But I then decided to go to the Mayor's office and ask her where he lives.

I then got to the Mayor's office and knocked on the door. "Come in." Said Mare Mayor. "Ah Twilight Sparkle what can I do to help you today?"Asked Mare Mayor. "Well I heard there was a new pegasus that just moved here. and I was wondering if I can get directions to his house?"  I asked.

"Sure thing Tiwlight Just give me a second. Ah Ha here it is. Cody Blaze. He lives in a house near the northeast of Ponyville." Said Mare Mayor. "Thank you Mayor." I said. I then waved her goodbye and headed off to this Cody Blaze's house.

[1st person]: Cody Blaze

After my errands were done I headed home to stock up on my supplies. I was really happy that I got so much. But at the same time depressed that I may not have enough money until I can get a job. But I shrugged it off and put away my groceries.

After a few minutes of stocking up I was completely stumped on what to do. I had no idea what to do next. Should I go outside again and find somthing? Or relax and wait for the next day to arrive? I just couldn't figure out what to do.

I then heard knocking at the front door. "Huh? Who could that be?" I said. I then walked down stairs and got to the door then opened it. Standing at the front of my door was a lavender unicorn but for some reason she looked familar.

"Hello are you Cody Blaze?" Asked the unicorn. "Uh yeah I'm him. What do you need?" I asked. "Well I'm Twilight Sparkle. and I just wanted to say welcome to Ponyville." Said Twilight. (Twilight Sparkle... Where do I remember her from?) I thought .

"Thanks. But that still deosn't explain why you're here?" I said. "Well I just wanna ask you if you wanted to come with me to SugarCube Corner?" Asked Twilight. "Really?" I replied. Twilight simply nodded. "Okay then. At least this will give me somthing to do." I said.

Twilight smiled "Ok let's go then". Me and Twilght set off for this 'SugarCube Corner' place. I've had no idea where it was at so I just followed her to the place. And as we walked I kept thinking on why Twilight looks so familar. I know I've seen her before but I just couldn't put my hoof on it.

"Hey Twilight can I ask you something?" I asked. "Huh? Sure. What is it?"Asked Twilight. "Well you look so familar. Have we meet before?" I asked. "Hmm I don't think so. Where you at the Gala or at the Royal Canterlot Wedding?" Asked Twilight.

"No I've never been to the Gala....Wait Royal Wedding?" I said. "Yes Royal Wedding. My Brother Shining Armor was getting married to Princess Cadance." Replied Twilight. (Wait Royal Wedding. Shining Armor. Princess Cadance?........Wait could she be?) I thought.

"Wait are you one of the Element Bearers and protégée of Princess Celestia?" I asked. She nodded. My eyes grew wider. "I can't believe I didn't recognize the Element Of Magic!" I said. Twilight blushed from my complement. "It's not that big of a deal." Said Twilight as she blushed a bright red.

"Not a big deal? You're an idol to alot of ponies! You not only defeated Nightmare Moon but also Discord and Queen Chrysalis too! You're a legend and a hero!" I said. Twilight blushed even brighter. "Yes but I couldn't have done it without my friends." Said Twilight. I chuckled at her being so adorable.

We finally arriaved at SugarCube Corner. "Well what are you waiting for? Go on in." Said Twilight as she opened the door for me. i was confused on why she opened it for just me but I simply shrugged and walked inside.

It was pretty dark in here but then the lights came up with a huge surprise. "SURPRISE!!" Said Everypony in the room. I looked at the banner and it said 'Welcome to Ponyville.' "Surprise!" Said the pink earth pony.

"Hi I'm Pinkie Pie and I threw this party just for you." Said Pinkie. "For me?" I asked. "Yes silly for you. You see my pinkie sense told me a new pegasus arrived in town and I had to follow it and find you so that I know what you look like. And this way I could get you here for a party! So were you surprised? Were ya were ya?" Said Pinkie.

"Yeah very surprise. I've never had a party before." I said. Pinkie's jaw just dropped. "YOU'VE NEVER HAD A PARTY?" Said Pinkie. "Well not since my first adopted parents died. But that was like 18 years ago." I said. "What happened? Asked Twilight. "I don't know. One day we were having fun together then the next day the died in a fire." I said.

"Oh my that's horrible." Said Twilight as tears began to form. "Thanks. But that's all in the past right now. And I really don't want to talk about it. Too painful." I said. Pinkie then grabbed my arm and started to drag me over to the dance floor. "Now now now. It's not time to be sad now. It's time to PARTY!" Said Pinkie.

I chuckled abit and went with her to the dance floor. The music was really cool. I then danced for a least an hour then got off to rest. Twilight then walked up to me. "So having fun there Cody?" Asked Twilight. "Yeah I am. Pinkie is on heck of a party animal." I said.

"*chuckle* Yeah she is. Hey can you come with me? I want to show you to my other friends." Asked Twilight. "Sure I would love to." I replied. I walked with Twilight to the other side of the party at saw four other ponies at the table. But there were two ponies I recognized. And they were Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.

"Cody these are my friends." Said Twilight as she pointed to her friends. "Hey there Cody. I'm AppleJack." Said AppleJack. "Pleasure to meet you Cody I am Rarity." Said Rairty. "Um... Hi I'm Fluttershy." Said Fluttershy in a shyful tone as she hid behind her mane from me. "How's it going dude? I'm Rainbow-" I cut off Rainbow.

"Yes I know who you are Rainbow Dash. I saw you at The Best Flier Competion I must say it's an honor meeting you all today." I said as I took a short bow to them to show my respect. They all blushed. "Well my my my. What a Gentlecolt you are Cody. Such manners." Said Rarity. "Thanks." I said as I gave a smile.

"You know you didn't have to do that Cody." Said Twilight. "Well for me it's just how I was raised." I replied. "Well yer parents must be very proud of ya Cody." Said AppleJack. "Yes tell us Cody what are your parents like?" Asked Rarity. Then after holding it back for so many years it hit me. The pain of not having any family.

I slumped my head down. "Something wrong dear?" Asked Rarity. "I.... I don't have any parents." I said softly. The girls all gasped excpet Twilight. "What do you mean you don't have any parents?" Asked Rainbow. I took a deep breath.  "Well I was abaondon right after birth. I don't know who my parents were or what they looked liked. I'm not even sure if they're still alive. Hell I don't even know if I have any family members left." I said.

I looked back up to see all the girls begining to cry. "I'm so sorry I didn't know." Said Rarity. "It's okay. That's all in the past know." I replied with a smile. "But if that's true then why can ya act like that?" Asked AppleJack. "Well I was adopted. Twice." I said.

"Twice"? Said Fluttershy. I nodded "I was first adopted by two unicrons. They were amazing to me. they gave me everything I wanted." I said. "What happened?" Asked Pinkie as she finally joined us. "Well after living with them for three years. They died in a fire." I said. They all (except Twilight) gasped again.

"And after traveling on my own for a few months I was adpoted again by some Buffalos." I said. "You were adopted by Buffalos?" Asked Pinkie. "Yeah they were also a great family." I said. "Were?" Said Twilight. I nodded and took a deep breath again. "Yeah. They were slaughtered." I said. They all gasped again.

"By Who? I don't know. But I swear as Celestia as my witness those monster who did this to them shall pay." I said. "*sigh* But again that's all in the past now. i just hope i can find some type of harmony for me." I said as a tear fell from my cheek. Then all of a sudden Twilight and the girls all grouped hugged me.

"Wha-What?" I said. Fluttershy looked at me with such sadness. "Y-y-you don't have to be sad a-any mor-r-r-e."Said Fluttershy. "That's right. We're your friends now and if you have any problems them we'll be here for you." Said Twilight. I smiled at them. They really cared for me. And now I have new friends and a new family. "Thank you. Thank you all." I said to them as I embraced there hug and friendship.............

"Where's who?"

"You know your cat Alice. Where is that cute cat?"

"Huh? She's right over there."

"Yay can I pet her?"
