Sunset frowned as her communicator buzzed, Hunnigan said “I have gathered some information that may help you, as it turns out there is a religious cult known as Los Illuminados.”

Sunset frowned “That’s interesting I ran into the leader of the village, he said I share the same blood as they did. I have a feeling they did something to me while I was out.”

Hunnigan frowned “That doesn’t sound good, how should we proceed?”

Sunset frowned “I don’t know but I should find Cadence and make sure they haven’t done something to her as well.”

Hunnigan nodded “Very well, stay safe Sunset.” Sunset nodded as she closed her communicator. She then explored the house claiming an egg, herb, incendiary grenade as well as some funds. She then exited the building to see a stallion with a chainsaw as well as a stallion with an axe.

She ran froward, grabbing the first stallion smashing his head into the ground. She then put her shotgun to the stallion with the chainsaw blowing his brains out. She headed forward clearing out all the villagers in her path before re-entering the village proper, she head through taking the villagers who tried to stop her.

Sunset saw a door with a symbol similar to the key she received, she opened and headed through. She shot a lantern and then jumped down the hatch once the fire subsided collecting a spinel. She frowned as she was in a strange sewer like location, she then shot another lantern and collected two spinels as well as an elegant headdress. She bought a first aid spray from the merchant and continued out of the sewers onto a trail, she took out two villagers in the shack before turning to see the massive church courtyard.

She checked the church only for it to be locked, she claimed a green catseye from a locked grate and combined into the beerstein before moving on. She then headed away down a path eliminating villagers and raiding all the shacks for ammo and funds.

She then past a merchant who had nothing to sell her that she needed, she then headed through a set of double doors raiding a shack. She turned around catching another boulder and throwing it back at the fools who dropped it in the first place. She claimed a spinel one her way down.

Sunset frowned as she cast a scanning spell picking up multiple villagers and explosive traps in the area. She fired off a warning shot, and within a few moments he heard several explosions. She cleared out all the villagers only to see more coming down from the hill which she came from, she grimaced as she sprayed put a herb on her side, one of those bastards had gotten lucky.

Sunset collected all the items in the area then exited the area through a large door, she grimaced as watched as a few villagers threw the body of the other officer that arrived with her in the lake “Shit!”

Sunset collected everything she could including a red herb and a golden necklace with pearls. She then approached the speed boat at the docks, she frowned as she saw the large supply of harpoons in the boat, as she approached the centre of the lake she saw a huge worm creature under the boat she tossed out the anchor only for it to lodge in the beast. Sunset frowned as the boat got pulled along “Well this day just keeps getting better and better.”

She frowned as the creature surface it was huge and brown it’s mouth full of razor sharp teeth. Sunset growled as she began throwing harpoons at it as it rushed towards her boat “Die!” She then grimaced as the creature began rushing away, Sunset controlled the boat avoiding debris while assaulting the foul beast with harpoons, eventually the beast caved diving deep into the lake.

Sunset grimaced as a rope wrapped around her hoof, she cut it with her claws. She then got of the boat stumbling into a cabin and fell unconscious, she opened her eyes only to see tendrils moving inside her body as pain wracked her body. Sunset jolted up and looked around she shook her head “It was just a dream, I better get going.”

Meanwhile inside her body the Plagas was starting to spread having finally overcome Sunset’s immune system. It started to approached Sunset’s spine only for the thaumic titanium around her spine to latch onto the Plagas both adding and removing genetic material from the parasite as it writhed.

Sunset not noticing these internal changes picked up her communicator, Hunnigan exclaimed “Sunset it’s been six hours since we last communicated, is everything okay?”

Sunset frowned “I passed out after fighting a massive lake worm full of teeth, it was probably exhaustion but it also may have something to do with what I was told by the village leader.”

Hunnigan frowned “Sunset this could be really bad, maybe we should evacuate for now?”

Sunset shook her head “I’m rescuing Cadence, she needs my help and I’m not abandoning her. I will fix this one way or the other.”

Hunnigan sighed “Very well Sunset, jut be cautious.” Sunset nodded as she turned off her communicator.
