It had been six months since Sunset arrived in Ponyville, she blocked a rapid barrage of knife swings coming towards her. She then grabbed a blue hoof and threw the pegasus mare away “Impressive Rainbow, I expect in another six months there will be nothing left for me to teach you. You are smart but not in the bookworm type way, you learn quickly from action.”

Rainbow took a deep breath “Thank you, Sunset for all of this. I never thought I was so woefully unprepared for my dream and you helped me get so much closer to attaining my dream.”

Sunset laughed “You know I am surprised, you are not quite as boastful as you sued to be.”

Rainbow grinned “I am Equestria’s fastest pegasus and everypony knows it, I don’t need to go shouting it from the rooftops or anything. Anyway I think we need to call from today, I have some skies that need clearing.”

Sunset nodded “I better check on Spike, he was helping Rarity with the decorations at the Town Hall.” With that said both ponies left the gorge heading in different directions, Sunset entered Ponyville heading towards the Town Hall.

She entered the building to see Spike holding a basket full of decorations, she rolled her eyes as Rarity was levitating multiple objects around decorating the hall. She sighed “Rarity.”

Rarity spoke up “Sorry dear but I am in the zone. I’ll just be a moment, yes that shade of orange is just marvellous.” Rarity then turned around and blinked “Sunset, what happened to you mane?”

Spike shrugged “She was training with Rainbow Dash, that is why her mane is like that.”

Rarity frowned as she cast a weak summoning spell causing a brush to appear which then caught in her magic “I can’t give you a full do up but at least I can make you appear presentable.”

Sunset smiled as she took a seat allowing Rarity to brush her mane “Thanks Rarity.”

Rarity smiled “It’s what friends are for, now let me get this rebellious strand into place.”

Sunset blinked “We’re friends? We barely spend any time with one another. I come over maybe once a month to discuss practicality with you, and the odd trip to the Spa.”

Rarity giggled “Friends don’t have spend every second of the day with each other, what is important is that we enjoy each other’s company and can bond over something together.”

Sunset smiled “I understand, anyway I need to find Cloud. She wanted to spend the day with me today.”

Rarity sighed “I’m sorry about what I said about her, it’s just she goes against a lot of what I was taught as a foal. It is poor behaviour for a lady, that was what every book I read told me.”

Sunset grinned “Well neither of us fit that description, one soldier and another ex-soldier certainly are not Ladies.” Sunset then looked a Spike “Are you alright, do you need anything?”

Spike gave her a thumbs up “I’m doing well here, helping Rarity out. I’ll see you a party that Pinkie’s throwing.”

Sunset nodded with a smile as she ran out of the town hall, she frowned as she looked “Now where would I find Cloud?” She then saw Pinkie bouncing around, she ran over to Pinkie “Have you seen Cloud anywhere?”

Pinkie pointed with a hoof “She’s helping Rainbow with the clouds over there.”

Sunset smiled “Thanks Pinks, I better get over there.” Sunset ran towards the pair, she leapt in the air. Cloud shrieked as she was wept up in a pair of hooves, Sunset smiled as she gave her a kiss “Sorry Cloud.”

Cloud laughed “It was alright, I was just helping Rainbow with some clouds.”

Rainbow frowned “Can you not do that while I’m present?”

Sunset and Cloud grinned, Sunset turned her eyes to the mare “Looks like somepony’s jealous.”

Cloud hit the ground galloping “Maybe she wants to grace our bed with her presence? I believe we could use a third member for tonight.” They laughed as Rainbow’s face glowed red as she flew off at near Rainboom speeds. Cloud smiled “She is easy to fluster isn’t she?”

Sunset nodded with her own smile “Yes she is but also a fantastic student, I have a feeling she will be one of the greatest Wonderbolt Captains in History.”

Cloud frowned “So Nightmare Moon will be returning tonight?”

Sunset grimaced “Yes, I will have to face my Auntie in combat. I have no idea of how powerful she is either so I must be wary.”

Before either could say another word, they were suddenly in Sugarcube Corner as Pinkie smiled “Welcome to the Pre-Summer Sun Celebration Party!”

Fluttershy was giving Rainbow Dash a massage, the athletic Pegasus had melted onto the occupied table. Rarity meanwhile was discussing idea for practical wear with Applejack. Sunset and Cloud decided to go the table and were happily easting some snacks. Hours past as the part went on, they then all headed to the town hall. Sunset frowned as she saw the Mare on the Moon vanish “It begins, Cloud keep the locals safe.”

Mayor Mare smiled “Tonight we are here to celebrate the rising of the sun on the longest day of the year, and today we are welcoming the ruler of our land, who brings the day and night every day. The wise, benevolent bringer of Harmony…” All the ponies watched in shock for a few moments before they gasped in shock as Princess Celestia flew into the wall with a thud, everypony was turned as the mighty Alicorn struggled to stand.

Then they turned to see a mare with a coat darker than the darkest night, her voice boomed “It’s been a while since I’ve seen your Sun loving faces.”

Sunset frowned “So Nightmare Moon, you have returned. I’ve afraid I’ll have to stop you.”

Nightmare Moon cackled “Really, a unicorn like you can stop me. Stop being so…” Sunset leapt forward punching her out of the building before jumping out of the hole, Nightmare Moon stood up “Impressive young unicorn but you are out of your league.”

She fired off a powerful beam of magic only for it to be caught in an opal glow. Sunset frowned as she looked at the beam “On anypony else that would have worked.”

Nightmare Moon dove at Sunset only to be caught with a claw and slammed into the ground. Sunset then kicked her sending her flying before blasting her with several ball of fire. Nightmare Moon growled “I will be back!”

Sunset frowned as the Alicorn turned to mist and vanished into a dark forest, Sunset immediately gave chase running at full speed. She was unaware of the three pegasi, two earth ponies and the single unicorn who followed her into the forest at a much slower pace.

Sunset leapt down a cliff, then continues to run passing a Manticore cave followed by a bunch of trees. She then leapt over a river, then rushed forward to a small bridge that had collapsed from wear and tear, her horn glowed as she teleported to the other side. She entered a huge ruined castle, she frowned as she entered a room with several strange glowing objects. Sunset levitated them down, she held two of the orbs in her hooves “What are these?”

Nightmare Moon materialised “Those are the Elements of Harmony!”

Sunset turned to her “Hello Auntie, I was wondering where you were?”

Nightmare Moon’s voice boomed “You’re my sisters foal!”

Sunset rolled her eyes “Yes, you make it sound like my mother is most prudish pony in the world.” Nightmare Moon nodded, Sunset blinked “Okay, that does make sense” she then shook her head “Anyway I am going to fight you now” Nightmare Moon couldn’t even say a word before she was slammed into a wall.

Nightmare Moon growled “How are you so strong?!”

Sunset shrugged “I have a a few advantages, first I have a living metal skeleton that can be enchanted. I also have a Plagas Parasite modified by said skeleton increasing all my physical ablities even further.”

Sunset rolled her eyes “Anyway you need to take a nap.” A single full powered punch to the head and the Alicorn was unconscious. Sunset hummed as she observed her unconscious Aunt.

She raised an an hours later eyebrow as she heard hoofsteps, she frowned as Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Cloud entered the room “You all followed me, what if you got hurt?!”

They all blinked as the element stones shattered and each elements flew towards them plus two materialised from the air. One formed a necklace around Cloud and the other formed a crown on Sunset’s head, Nightmare Moon groaned only to see the elements on the seven mares. Sunset shrugged “Well I guess we’re using these.” The power of the elements washed over the Alicorn.

Rarity exclaimed as she looked at her tail “My tail is back!”

As her friends bickered Sunset frowned, she wanted to have some words with her mother. Sunset grimaced as she saw her mother who had just landed “I’m proud of you, Sunset…”

Sunset snapped angrily as pointed at Luna “Mum, why the fuck didn’t you tell me that I had an Aunt?!”

Celestia blushed “Well if you knew you may have not been able to face her, not to mention you may not have had the power to befriend you fellow element bearers.”

Applejack blinked “Wait Celestia is your mum?”

Rarity gasped “You’re a Princess!”

Sunset turned to Rarity “No, I’m not. My relationship to Celestia is a closely guarded secret, it would cause her a lot of problems if anypony found out.” Celestia went to speak to her sister after one thousand years while Sunset reassured her friends about everything as well as informing them Cloud knew about it already.
