Sunset was driving into the city, she tapped her radio “Squirrel City Police Department, this is Officer Shimmer speaking.” Sunset grimaced she knew this was bad , the city didn’t look very comforting, the sky was covered in dark clouds and the city colours had darkened.

Sunset unlike most knew the significance of such an event, it had meant the magic had faded from the land and that meant something terrible had happened. She arrived in the city’s business district, carriages were wrecked and corpses in various states of decay littered the streets.

She got out of her car and coughed as she was assaulted by the smell of death, Sunset eyes widened as she noticed the area was deadly silent. Then she heard a moan followed by another, she shouted as the corpses began to move “Shit shit shit!” she fired a few bullets into their chests but they continued to move. She quickly realised her mistake and shot the few who were almost standing up in the head. She then bolted towards the closest building pushing the door open and baring it shut.

She sat down on the floor, she looked around the room it’s walls were a simple red colour the floor was a deep ocean blue with a nice green carpet as well as a few brown sofas and a small television set. She watched as a red earth pony mare with light brown hair and a blue cross cutie mark burst into the room, she bolted the door after she entered. Sunset asked “So who are you and how the fuck did you end up in this mess?”

The mare scowled “Well for you information my name is Snow Cross and I’m to find my brother Boulder Puncher!”

Sunset smiled “Glad to see fire in you, I’m Officer Sunset Shimmer Princess Celestia’s personal student and I came here after me and her had an argument, must say zombies was not what I was expecting.”

Snow’s eyes bugged out “Oh no I shouted at Princess Celestia’s student, what if I get…”

Sunset smiled “Don’t worry I won’t let her hurt you, besides the lack of criticism caused me to be quite a bitch during my younger years and that was why I became an officer. Anyway do you have a plan for doing that?”

Snow rubbed her head with her hoof “Um no I don’t…”

Sunset sighed “Well at least I’m not along in this, we should head to the police station for now…” Sunset heard the sound of loud wingbeats, Sunset scowled “What the fuck is making that noise?” Not a moment later a massive creature smashed a hole in the building, Sunset and Snow were shocked at the creature looked like a massive mutated pegasus with claws coming out of all four limbs.

Sunset shook her head and hefted Snow onto her back, she then ran out of the building. Snow screamed as the creature flew after them, Sunset was firing shots at zombies in their path, Snow shivered “Any idea what that is?!”

Sunset scowled “No fucking clue now hold on to me or else you're going to fall off.” The mare tightened her grip as Sunset’s speed increased massively as she pushed herself harder, after they stopped they were outside the police station.

Snow looked up at the station “Well that’s convenient…”

Sunset shook her heard as she caught her breath “I saw this place a few times as I was trying to lose that thing, now let’s get inside.”

Snow frowned “How fast were you moving?”

Sunset sighed “I have always been incredibly fast and strong especially by unicorn standards, no-one knew why but anyway I think I hit mach five back there I really can only comfortably run at mach three.”

Snow’s jaw dropped “No way five times the speed of sound!” Sunset put her claws over Snow’s muzzle and pulled her inside. The station was covered in blood and corpses of multiple officers covered the floor, the stench of death was overwhelming.

Sunset grimaced “Great.” Sunset and Snow heard two different noises Sunset sighed “I know this is bad idea but…”

Snow grabbed a gun off a corpse “We have to split up for a bit, I can handle myself don’t worry.”

Sunset nodded as she grabbed two shotguns off dead officers and passed one to Snow “More firepower will help us against creatures like that thing we encountered.” Sunset trotted down the stairs to see a strange creature in a mouldy cell, she had a green unicorn horn on one side of her blue horse-like head, two red slitted pupils, a long purple serpentine body she had a yellow draconic left arm and a white eagle’s talon on the left as well as grey lion’s paw and an indigo reptilian leg, her tail was a neon blue horse’s tail.

Sunset asked “Who are you, keep it short I don’t want to waste time?”

The creature said “My name is Hidden Image and I’m a Draconequus.”

Sunset shrugged “Good enough for me now let’s get out of here before…” Sunset then heard the sound of scratching, she then heard a piercing screech from behind her, she jumped to the side as a massive creature equine like creature slammed into the wall, it had massive flat teeth and a long tongue it’s brain was exposed, each leg had claws at the end.

Hidden screamed “Be careful, that’s a Licker, they are very dangerous and guns aren’t good on them because of their speed.”

Sunset grinned “Good thing I have claws” the creature screeched as it leapt at her, Sunset jumped and tore it’s brain out with her claws. Sunset frowned as she smashed the cell open “Well let’s get going I have to find my friend before she gets attacked by these things.”

Meanwhile Snow was carefully carrying the shotgun in her hooves, awaiting an hostile attack from something. She blinked as heard crying, Snow called out “Anypony there?” She turned around only to see a blue filly with a blonde mane gallop up to her. Snow asked “Who are you?”

The filly whimpered “M-my name i-is W-Warm G-Glow.”

Snow frowned “Well let’s meet with my companion and get out of here, this place probably has more evil things in it than I want to deal with right now.”
