Fluttershy was gathering flowers where finds a strange round bug like creature “Awww you’re cute, I’m going to show you to the others.” She didn’t notice the empty Apple Basket nearby as she put the creature.

She entered Ponyville she saw Sunset and Pinkie talking to one another, she smiled “Look at what I found.”

Sunset raised an eyebrow “What is it and why are there two more of them.”

Fluttershy smiled “I don’t what they are but they are cute, do you want one?”

Sunset shook her head “I’m not letting a creature that I don’t know about into my home, it just doesn’t seem safe.”

Fluttershy nodded “Fair enough” she turned to Pinkie with a smile “Do you want one, Pinkie?”

Pinkie shook her head with a frown “Ugh, no. Would ever want one of those Parasprites.”

Sunset raised an eyebrow “Do you know what they are Pinkie?”

Pinkie nodded “Yes I do and trust me their bad news. Now if you excuse me I need to find a trombone.”

Sunset frowned as the Cakes were setting up lots of food “Celestia doesn’t like it when ponies make an enormous fuss about her presence.”

Mr Cake blinked “But she is a Princess shouldn’t we pull out all the stops for her. IT wouldn’t re right for us not to.”

Sunset frowned “The food is fine but don’t try to serve her every need. She can handle some things herself, you wouldn’t believe how many ponies treat like she’s a helpless foal instead of an immortal goddess so please let her pour her own tea and slice her own food.”

Mrs Cake nodded with a smile “We can do that.”

Fluttershy smiled “Maybe Rarity would like one.” She put the three creatures in her saddlebags.

Sunset nodded “I need to make sure that Rainbow is not being bored to death by Rarity.”

The two headed towards the Carousel Boutique, they entered to see Rainbow standing perfectly still as Spike was sitting on Gilda’s back. Gilda was smiling as Rarity was measuring Rainbow.

Sunset frowned “How long has Rainbow been standing there like that for?’

Rarity frowned “A couple of hours, why?”

Sunset poked her and the pegasus fell over sideways in the same position, Sunset’s horn glowed and Rainbow blinked “Where am I?”

Sunset frowned “I had to cast a spell to relax your muscles. Pegasi are like springs and the more active they are the tighter they become when they tense up, it probably had little to no effect on Fluttershy but on a Pegasus like Rainbow here she won’t be able to move any more after standing still for two hours. It’s why Pegasi don’t guard doors in Canterlot, they patrol hallways.”

Fluttershy smiled nervously “I, um found these little cute creatures near the Everfree.”

Sunset raised an eyebrow as ten the creatures left Fluttershy’s saddlebags. She knew something was off about these creatures, normal creatures didn’t multiply this quickly.

She left the building to see Pinkie carrying a trombone, accordion, harmonica and banjo. Sunset frowned as she ran over to pink party pony “Okay, what are these parasprites and what do we do to get rid of them?”

Pinkie frowned “I need some maraca and some cymbals. Parasprites consume everything and if I get all these instruments I can get them to follow me out of town.”

Sunset watched in shock as the parasprites started to flood out of the Carousel boutique. Sunset grimaced shouting “Does anypony have some cymbals?!”

Pinkie smiled as she ran off in another direction, she bumped in a white unicorn wearing purple shades. She asked “Do you have a pair of cymbals?”

The white unicorn nodded pulling out the golden metal objects, Sunset took them with a smile “You may have just saved Ponyville!” Sunset ran off leaving the confused mare behind.

Sunset ran off to see Pinkie was holding a pair of maracas, Pinkie smiled as took the cymbals “It’s time for you to learn how to deal with unsightly bugs.”

Everypony in town save Sunset watched in shock as soon as Pinkie started to play those instruments in unison guiding the parasprites out of every building into the Everfree Forest.

Rainbow raised an eyebrow at Sunset “How come you helped Pinkie with her instrument collecting, I thought she was just being weird.”

Sunset frowned “I did too but I thought that she knew what these things were and there is no non-magical creature that behaves that way. These creatures were very strange, they increased to a factor of ten in a few minutes and then they continued to multiply.”

Rainbow smiled “I’m glad Pinkie stopped them when she did, if she didn’t we may not have a Ponyville left behind.”

Sunset nodded with a smile “Better attend the party Pinkie is going to throw after she stopped the Parasprites.” The two laughed as they headed towards Sugarcube Corner.
