Sunset with bandages covering her body scowled as she sat in an empty room with grey walls, a single metal and a metal table, she watched as a unicorn stallion entered, she grimaced “Chancellor Neighsay!”

Neighsay growled “Officer Shimmer, I believe your report mentioned Zombies. That is impossible no necromancer could control that many corpses!”

Sunset roared “There was no necromancer, they would reanimated by a virus, I have no idea who made the virus or why but somepony did!”

Neighsay shouted “No such virus exists in Equestria!”

Just as Sunset was about to yell a white alicorn teleported into the room, she frowned “I was listening in, I believe my student, I received any Anonymous tip this was caused by Sunshield, an organisation running in the Free Ponies’ Republic. Now I would like to speak with my student in my quarters.”

Celestia guides Sunset out of the interrogation rooms, Sunset frowned “Is Warm Glow going to be alright?”

Celestia nodded “I’ve made sure she’s safe and healthy, the virus wasn’t cured, just made non-harmful and it has given her a healing factor of some kind.”

Sunset smiled “Thanks Celestia.”

Celestia smiled back “You’re welcome my dearest student.” The pair continued through the massive Canterlot hallways which had several officers guarding every doorway, eventually they arrived in Princess Celestia’s room.

Raven frowned “Why is your student here?”

Celestia grimaced “She needs to know the truth” as she as on her bed she asked “Sunset could you please take a seat beside me?”

Sunset sat next to the Alicorn, she frowned “What is this about, Celestia?”

Celestia said “Do you ever wonder why your parents Star Shine and Winter Frost don’t share any features with you?”

Sunset shook her head “I was adopted, I figured that out fairly quickly.”

Celestia raised an eyebrow before continuing “Well this makes this a little easier.” Celestia pulled out a picture of a drawer next to her bed “Do you know who that filly in the blanket is?”

Sunset’s eye widened as she focused on the filly in the picture and looked up at Celestia “How?”

Celestia smiled fondly remembering the day she met her first lover “It was about twenty years ago…”

Twenty Years Ago

Celestia grimaced as she was painting a picture, it was something she did to help her deal with her heat cycle unfortunately for her today several nobleponies had seen her painting and watched (Why in Harmony’s name can’t I get some privacy!)

She noticed a pegasi stallion with a messy crimson red and yellow mane, his amber coat stood out amongst the darker colours of the palace. She sighed as she finished her painting, she frowned internally at the set of red and blue squiggles (I have never been very good at painting, time for the damn nobles to kiss my flank about this.)

She opened the door and all the ponies trotted in the room, just as they were giving her praise about how “magnificent” or “beautiful” her painting was. Just then she heard a voice “Well I think it looks like shit, I’ve seen me some foals who could draw better than that.”

She blinked in awe, the orange this stallion was had guts. One of the nobleponies in the room growled “Who are you to insult Princess Celestia?!”

The stallion grinned “I’m Sunshine ‘Danger’ Doo adventurer extraordinare and I believe you are all doing your princess a disservice by kissing her flank instead of being honest.”

Celestia took a deep breath “Mr Doo, I would like to speak with you in my quarters.” Her horn glowed and she teleported into her room, she sat on her bed. She grinned “Come join me on the bed, I need some help.”

The stallion grinned back “It’s heat week huh, I’m game.” Anypony who saw him leaving would notice his goofy grin, as for Princess Celestia, well she would be surprised when she started to put on pregnancy pudge a week later.

Present Day

Sunset frowned “So my father is some adventurer somewhere?”

Celestia raised an eyebrow “You’re taking this all rather well.”

Sunset facehooved “After dealing with Zombies, Mutant Zombies and Zombie Monsters I’d say I have dealt with enough shit that nothing could surprise me anymore, besides I’m too tired.”

Celestia coughed “Right, well not exactly he had settled down two years later and had two kids one of which followed in his hoofsteps.”

Sunset nodded “Okay, well I want to go to bed.”

Celestia frowned “Do you want to know why you were given up for adoption?”

Sunset shook her head “No, I was a bitch before as it was, imagine if I was the heir apparent to the throne…” Sunset shuddered “I can’t imagine what I would have done.” Sunset walked out of the room, she had to rest.
