Sunset was standing there outside someone’s door, two days of her training had passed. She knocked on the door, she slumped “Amethyst I’m sorry for everything, can you forgive me?”

Amethyst frowned “I can try, come in.” Sunset followed her into the modest corridors of Amethyst’s apartment. Amethyst then called out “Spike, Sunset’s here!”

The little purple dragon ran down and wrapped Sunset in a hug “Sunset, where have you been?!”

Sunset smiled as she levitated Spike onto her back making sure to leave out the more gory details as she told the tale. Spike was stunned “You have been through so much, I wish I was there to help.”

Sunset took a deep breath “No Spike, what I saw was death on a massive scale. You shouldn’t do what I do.”

Amethyst nodded “I agree.” she then growled “I just realised you could have died out there alone and unloved, you seriously need to find yourself a nice stallion or mare.”

Sunset frowned “Yeah but who in all of Canterlot would date me, I have treated everypony like dirt. It is never going to happen, Amethyst I have accepted that now, besides I am far too busy to be in relationship right now regardless of who it is.”

Amethyst sighed “Look I know we aren’t very close but trust me, you seriously should try.”

Sunset growled “Yeah so some poor pony has to deal with the pain, that I am going to die to some monster out there!”

Spike slapped her “That’s not going to happen!”

Sunset turned to him with a sigh “Spike, there is only two ponies who understand what we faced out there. I will face those things again one day and maybe they will bring my life to an end one day or worse they make me another rotten corpse limping around waiting for death.”

She then turned to Amethyst “Thanks for caring for Spike.” She left with the stunned dragon sitting on her back.

Sunset returned to her room to see Celestia standing there with a smile “I see you have brought Spike back.”

Spike scowled at Celestia “Why are you letting her put herself in so much danger!”

Celestia sighed “Sunset is not a foal Spike and has so much potential, when she hatched you with a mere glow of her horn we were all stunned. The fact that you grew after her magical surge was even more surprising, in truth I have sealed part of her magic away.”

Sunset took a deep breath to calm herself down and then frowned “Why did you do that?”

Celestia grimaced “I was not sure your body could handle it, even with the suppression seal you are an Omega Level Unicorn. Your magical capacity far exceeds even mine.”

Sunset shouted “WHAT?!

Celestia sighed as she magical summoned a chalkboard from somewhere “I suppose it’s time for me to show you, how magic classes work.” She levitated a piece of chalk over to the board and began writing

There are seven classes that unicorns are scaled on in terms of power, the first is Epsilon these are really low level unicorns can only perform basic levitation on a single object and have one spell they can use relevant to their special talent.

The second is Delta, these unicorns are capable of performing levitation on multiple objects, perform basic light spells and have one spell unique to their special talent.

The third is Gamma, these unicorns are capable of performing levitation on a massive scale some can even levitate a pony with little effort, perform basic and intermediate light spells and their special talent usually is to do with a magical field of one type or another.

The fourth are Beta, these unicorns are the strongest of the average classes.

Sunset raised an eyebrow at the term average classes but didn’t ask feeling her mentor would explain it, Spike meanwhile was reading a Power Ponies comic in the corner.

These unicorns can levitate several large Earth Ponies with ease, they are capable at all but the most advanced Light Spells as well as their special talent involving more than one school of magic and usually become Magic Researchers or Magi.

Now we are getting into the advance classes, these are more powerful than some Alicorns are. The first of these are the Alpha unicorns, they are masters of levitation, are capable of light spells as well as masters in multiple field of magic and capable of mastering all of them, these unicorns exceed Epsilon level Alicorns like Cadence. A pony who was a notable member of this group was Clover the Clever, their cutie marks are a variant of they symbol of magic .

The second are Omega level unicorns, they can do everything that Alpha level unicorns can do and much more. Some at the high end are capable of moving Celestial Bodies linking to their special talents, they are capable of overpowering Delta level Alicorns like I am. A notable member of of this group would be Starswirl the Bearded.

The final class has only been added very recently, the class is known as the Ulitma class of unicorns, these unicorns are rare in the extreme the current theory is only an Alicorn can produce such a foal and such an event is extremely rare even then.

That message began to tick away in Sunset’s head

They are more powerful than any Alicorn ever recorded even the Omega class Alicorns, only one pony has ever been recorded in this category, Sunset Shimmer.

Sunset’s jaw dropped in shock and awe, Spike sighed after Sunset stayed still for about thirty minutes “I think you broke her, from what I remember there is only one way to fix this.”

He smacked her flank with his claw and she jumped “SPIKE!”

Spike bowed “Well I got to go, Princess.” He then bolted out of the room as Sunset followed in hot pursuit while Celestia giggled.
