A day with the girls

"Heartbeat! Wake up!"

That's what I heard before somepony was knocking on my door. Loudly. I just ducked under my pillow and turned my back on the door. It was a huge mistake. The next thing I heard was the door opening with a threatening click and after that, I was out of bed.

"Errm, who's there?" I asked sleepily, still with my eyes closed.

She didn't answer just went to my window and pulled the curtains, so Celestia's sun could shine inside my bedroom. I still didn't dare to open up my eyes, because I was afraid that I would go blind because of the sun.

"Good morning Heartbeat! Well... Good afternoon I guess. You slept in." Okay, that was Twilight. Wait... Why is she in my bedroom?

" 'Morning Twilight! What's up?" I asked as I rubbed my eyes. "And you said it's already afternoon?"

"Yes. But the important thing is, that the girls and I are having a get-together. Would you like to join us in the castle?" She asked cheerily.

"I'd love to, Twilight. Just give me a few minutes to get myself together." I said before going to the bathroom.

After brushing my teeth, combing my mane and tail and some other things like this, I was walking with Twilight, getting nearer and nearer to the castle. We didn't talk, just enjoyed our little walk. When we arrived, she opened the door with her magic, and we were in. At the end of the long, crystally corridor, was the throne room. I was there once before. The only thing I can tell you is that it's majestic.

As we entered the room, I saw a blue figurine, with a rainbow-colored tail speeding around in the air. All we could hear was chit-chatting, everypony was talking about something at the same time.

"Heeeey everypony!" I shouted.

Everything came to a halt. Even Rainbow Dash was so surprised that she stopped mid-air and nearly fell to the ground. Though she was the on to firstly recover from the sudden shock and came to greet me.

"Hey, Heartbeat! Long time, no see! What's up with you?" She asked with a huge grin.

"Yes, darling, how are you doing?" Rarity added in.

"Yer doin' fine, Sugarcube?" Now that was Applejack.

"Umm... H-Hello Heartbeat!" That's Fluttershy. At least I think. It's so hard to hear her.

"Heartbeat! It's nice to see you again!" And that was Starlight.

"Hey girls! It's nice to see all of you again. But wheres Pinkie Pie? Twilight said that all of you would be here." I asked, wondering where Pinkie could be.

"Oh don't worry darling, she should be here at any moment now with our drinks." Rarity explained.

Just as she finished her sentence, I felt a little tap on my shoulder and heard a big giggle.

"Who, when, what?" I yelped as I turned around to see Pinkie behind me.

"Hi, Heartbeat!" She said with a huge smile.

"Hi, Pinkie, nice to see you again!" I greeted.

"Okay so now that everypony's here, let's take a seat, and have our drinks." Twilight exclaimed.

"Great idea Twilight, I've brought everypony's favorite. Rarity here's your caramel frappucino. RD, your double espresso. Fluttershy, this hot chocolate is waiting for you, now with extra sprinkles. Applejack, your Ponish coffee with cider. Twilight you get your usual black. I have my vanilla iced macchiato with extra sugar, and of course rainbow-colored. A mocha for Starlight. And last but not least, here's your cappuccino, Heartbeat. And I baked some muffins, so we get to eat something too." She listed, as she pulled out each drink and then the muffins from Celestia knows where.

"Thank you, Pinkie." we said in unison.

"It's nothing. I know your favorites like the back of my hoof. It was a bit hard to make them with the twins around. They always drink the milk before I could use it." She laughed and we joined in.

"So how are you doing, girls? Did you have any cool adventures recently?" I asked eagerly.

"Well, I have been sent to Canterlot on a mission. I had to solve a friendship problem between the royal sisters!" Starlight began "I was nervous, but I also felt great. It was nice, spending a full day with the princesses. Especially with Princess Luna. In the time I was supposed to help them, I almost doomed all of Equestria, when I switched their cutie marks. But all worked out in the end." She giggled nervously at Twilight.

My mouth fell open...

"You did what? You switched their cutie marks? You're crazy!" She rolled her eyes at me. "You're a crazy genius! Haha, I bet their faces were hilarious." I said, starting to laugh.

"You got it Heartbeat, they were priceless!" Starlight answered.

At this point, I was imagining the faces of the royal sisters. All shocked and confused at the thought that a unicorn just switched their marks. It was mind-blowing. I began to wipe my tears away, that formed because of my hard laughter.

"Umm... Starlight? What did you mean when you said that it was ESPECIALLY nice with Princess Luna, hmm?" Rainbow asked with a cocky grin on her face.

"I-I meant nothing. Just drop it." Starlight mumbled.

"What the hay, don't you feel a little hot in here girls? I can see that Starlight got a bit o' redness on her cheeks. Should I open the window, Sugarcube?" Applejack added.

Starlight, at this point clearly flustered, just hid her face behind her hooves.

"Oh, you two stop it right now! Do not be like that." Rarity started as she walked around the table to Starlight. "Starlight clearly admires Princess Luna. But that's not a laughing matter!"

"Chillax, Rarity. We didn't want to hurt her or anything..." Rainbow scowled.

"Hmpf... I hoped so. Because it is just like the latest romance novel I've read!" Rarity said dreamily.

"Oh, Luna help me... Here we go again." Applejack said teasingly.

"Just hush darling. It's a beautiful story between a common stallion and princess. They meet where two paths in the forest cross each other. They couldn't see the other walking there and they bumped into each other and fell in love at first sight..." I think there was more but the muffin in her mouth was stopping her from continuing the story.

"Bull's eye!" Rainbow shouted before she received another muffin on her muzzle.

The next ten minutes were chaotic. Twilight sat at the table, with her head in her hooves. I, on the other hoof, was laughing my flank off at the sight in front of me. Muffins were tossed in every direction. I could see neither RD nor Fluttershy they were covered from head to hoof. Rarity was throwing muffin from behind Applejack, who received most of the muffins aimed at the white unicorn. Starlight was in the middle of the scene with her shield up, trying to stop them.

After another ten minutes or so, the vicious war finally died down, thanks to the loss of all of the ammunition.

"You two can laugh as much as you want, but maybe someday you'll meet your Prince Charming, just like in this story." Rarity grumbled, with her head held high.

Just like how I met Goldy

"Who's Goldy?" Fluttershy muttered.

"W-What? Did I-I say that out loud?" I stammered.

Now every eye was on me.

"Uuuhh Uuuuhh I know who she is!" Pinkie squealed. "She is the mare on a date with Heartbeat yesterday!"

I was blushing furiously by the time Pinkie answered Fluttershy's question.

"Hang on. You had a date yesterday?! That's at least forty percent cooler than Rarity's romance story because it's real life!" Rainbow said.

"Well yeah, I guess" I mumbled.

"Well, don't leave us hangin', Sugar." Applejack insisted.

"Okay, okay. I've met her three days ago. We actually bumped into each other. Really, we knocked over one another. After she helped me up, I found out that she moved to Ponyville the other day, so I showed her around the town. At sunset, we parted and went home." What a nice beginning to a love story...

"What does she look like, darling?" Rarity asked.

"She's beautiful. Her fur is almost gold, her mane and tail are curly and light brown, with a little yellow streak in them. ANd her eyes are hazel. My favorite color. And I just love how the color of her fur matches her full name. Golden Heart." I sighed as I imagined her.

"Equestria to Heartbeat! Do you hear me?" Twilight asked jokingly as the others giggled.

"Ermm yes, so where was I? Oh yeah. So yesterday, I met her again at Sugarcube Corner. We went in for a coffee, and she was the one to declare it as a date. We spoke about literally everything. I was enjoying it so much... It was really nice to talk to her. And we agreed to have a date tomorrow too." I said excitedly.

"Whoa, looks like somepony's in the game at last!" Rainbow winked at me.

"I hope so too, Dashie!" I said.

"Well darling, please don't leave us out when something happens. If you want, you can stop by the boutique and tell me how your date went! It would be lovely!" Rarity said.

"We'll see, but that would be nice!" I said with a smile.

"Hey girls, I don't want to interrupt, but it's almost sundown, so you should head home before it's too dark!" Starlight warned us.

At this everypony got up and started for the door. When we reached it everypony said her goodbyes and started to head home.

I couldn't sleep that, night. I was wide awake long after midnight, and thinking about my next date with Goldy.

I can only hope that it will go as smooth as the first one.
