Chapter 2

Previous Chapter

I could feel adrenaline rush through my dark form. I was staring at the stairs from where the little purple lizard had seen me, and heard the commotion of him trying to wake the lavender unicorn. A bout half a minute later, my paralyzed state was finally broken as I turned around and ran out the front door while making myself invisible once again. How many times have I been spotted now? I don't know...but at this point I didn't care. My stupid decisions is what caused this, my own fault....and what the book said about me....I guess they were right about me, on how I was nothing but an animal, waiting to be captured and studied like a damn guinea pig.

I continued to run as fast I could, towards the forest I once lived in, but then I thought of the numerous number of times these ponies had seen me, they were all inside that forest, I had to find somewhere else where I could safely collect my thoughts on what I should do next, but where could I go? Those woods were the only place I knew of where those damn ponies couldn't find me so easily. Well my best bet for now would be to go back there for now and collect my thoughts.

I continued to run back towards where the only safe place I knew, but something wasn't right, I could feel this...pressure building up inside my head. Maybe I thought I was just getting a migraine from the possible stress of the situation, but as the pain continued to endure, I could feel myself getting weaker and becoming more and more tired. It got to the point to where I had stopped running and was now on the ground, holding my head in pain. I started to black out, but as I was beginning to lose consciousness, I could hear the familiar echo of a soft voice saying the familiar words: Elements of harmony, and with that everything faded to black.

I awoke with some pain still inside my head, but not nearly as much as before I passed out. When I opened my eyes I noticed how I wasn't in the same spot I was previously in, but instead I was back at the library and trapped inside some kind of see through purple orb. Well I think I broke a record...my biggest screw up yet. Shortly after waking up, I heard two very familiar voices talking back and forth, It was the unicorn and the lizard. As their voices drew closer to the room I found myself in, I could faintly hear what they were saying.

"This is a really bad idea Twilight, what if that thing manages to escape?" The voice of the purple lizard questioned.

"Don't be silly spike, it's inside a sturdy containment spell, I doubt it could escape that easily." The voice of the unicorn responded.

"What are you gonna do with it? Were supposed to be checking on the preparations for the summer sun celebration tomorrow morning." The lizard said.

"I don't know spike, hopefully princess Celestia will know what to do, did you send that letter I told you to write to her?" The mare continued.

"Yeah." The lizard said.

As the door to the room opened, their conversation ceased. The unicorn was staring at me with a hint of curiosity and caution, while the purple lizard seemed to be hiding behind the mare with obvious fear. I stared back at them, waiting for one of them to speak. I'll admit, I wasn't sure what to make of this, I expected to wake up in some kind of cell in a dark and gloomy dungeon. Normally all the ponies I've seen would run away in terror, but this one...she stuck me as the curious type, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing for me.

The mare walked closer towards me, as if she were studying me. I'll admit I was unnerved at this, I didn't know what she was gonna do to me, sure these ponies looked all innocent and what not, but I learned really quickly from living in this world that looks can deceive. For all I know she would try to dissect me or something...though I believe she would have a difficult time doing that, seeing is how my form made little sense. She started to walk in circles around the orb I was trapped in, I followed her movement as best I could, considering I didn't have a lot of space to move in this damn orb she conjured up. She circled me a few times before walking back to the little lizard whispering something to him. I wanted to leave...I just wanted to get away, I wanted to find out what the dream I had meant. I looked down in defeat, as I mumbled something under my breath, but apparently the unicorn heard me.

Her ears perked up as she said in a surprised tone. "Sweet Celestia...did it just talk?!"

This made me flinch inwardly, either she has really good hearing or I'm a lot louder than I thought. Either way she knew I could speak now, I guess she's gonna start asking me questions...I guess I might as well comply...after all running and trying to escape makes me look like a wild savage animal anyway, no sense in making my situation worse.

"D-did you just talk?" She said walking closer to me.

"Yes..." I responded, my deep, dark tone causing her to flinch a little.

She didn't say anything after awhile, she just stood there, obviously amazed at the fact that I could talk. She then proceeded to ask me more questions with excitement, questions like what I was and where I'm from, to which I wasn't very helpful answering because I didn't have the answers either. The last question she asked me surprised me.

"What is your name?" She asked, eagerly awaiting my answer.

"Crimson." I answered, causing her ears to fold back. It was clear she was....unnerved.
