I sighed heavily as all my memories and thoughts locked into place. I glanced downward to see I was wrapped up in a thick comforter, with Silky's warm, normal body nestled against my chest. My mind clear of her aphrodisiac venom and no longer afraid for my life, I took in just how beautiful she was. The soft cures of her back and hips, the sheen of her lavender hair, and the subtle scent of lilacs that wafted off her, were all appealing. By all rights I should be jumping her this moment, lost in the desire to ravage her.
Unfortunately, my groin was too sore to even bother trying. Still, using this moment of clarity, I really had to wonder if getting into a serious relationship with her was a good idea. On one hand, she convinced me I was about to be her next meal, made me feel like less of a man, and I'm pretty sure what she did fell under dubious consent.
On the other hand, I don't think any other woman will satisfy me after what I just went through. Not to mention the past two days reminded me of school and I kind of missed the chaos of those years. While it could be dangerous, it was never boring and I'd been feeling like I was in a bit of a rut with my life since graduating.
Looking down at the gorgeous woman sleeping and slightly drooling on my chest and listening to her adorably cute snores I made up my mind.
"Screw it," I muttered, wrapping my hands around her body to get at her breasts. Hot was hot, and I could learn to get used to her change in behavior. At least she went back to normal when her breeding season was over.
"Can't help but touch them, can you?" Silkys' eyes were close but from the small smile on her lips she was definitely awake.
"Groping a sleeping woman isn't very gentlemanly." I snorted at that. Like she had any ground to stand on and call me out.
"These are mine now." I squeezed my hands firmly to emphasize my point, making Silky gasp softly.
"I earned them for enduring two nights of back-to-back humiliation, not to mention being used like a breeding stud." Silky merely sighed softly, shifting her body till it conformed with mine. There was a brief moment of silence afterwards, and the tension changed completely.
"You know Button, it's not too late to walk away. No one would blame you if you simply left and acted like this whole event never happened." Silkys' voice sounded sad but also accepting. It annoyed my slightly that she would accept, let alone expect, me to leave her just like that. I grunted and tightened my arms around her, holding her closer. Silky stiffened and squeaked is surprise as I planted a soft kiss on her cheek.
"No," I flat out refused her offer.
"I'm staying, you're gonna have to put up with me till I die." Silky released a shuddering breath I just realized she'd been holding in. Warm drops of liquid quickly followed as her eyes glistened with tears of relief and happiness. Burying her face into my chest she returned my embrace just as tightly, her sniffles muffled slightly.
"Thank you, Button... And I'm sorry about everything. Now that I'm pregnant, my instincts aren't driving me as much. I've made you a father before you were ready. I mean, you're so young..." I quieted her worries by cupping her chin and lifting her head so our eyes could meet.
"Regardless of how they come into this world, I don't regret it." Leaning forward, I plant a soft kiss on her lips, trying to convey all my affection and willingness to forgive. It seemed to work, because Silky melted into my arms like warm butter after a few seconds. I pulled back and smiled.
"So how long until you give birth?" I asked. While I was a peace with the situation, didn't mean I didn't have concerns and questions. She sighs in contentment, laying her head back on my chest as she spoke.
"A little over a year, given that my species has a longer pregnancy period..." She guided one of my hands to her belly, making me smile.
"After that it'll be a couple of weeks before they hatch." I nodded in understanding.
"It's good then that we have so much time..." My train of thought crashed in a glory of fire and explosion as my brain processed what she had just said.
"Wait..." I pushed Silky up and griped her shoulders, so we could look eye to eye and I could convey my seriousness.
"Hatch?" Her response was to just burst out laughing.
(Some years later)
Driving down my home street I had to admit, life had been good these past few years. Short Stack had retired and I had moved up the corporate ladder to take her place as manager, and with it came an increase in pay. I now owed a car, invested into some profitable game shops around Canterlot city, and got a degree in business management too. No more pushing grocery carts for this guy.
A warm smile formed as a few choice memories from the past years came to the forefront of my mind. Introducing Silky to my mom had been like letting the cats out of the bag. In a good way. Mom and Silky had hit it off quickly and, much to my eternal embarrassment, found they had something they both enjoyed... Teasing me. I feel my face heat up as the memory of mom showing my baby pictures to Silky while on the couch. Silky takes great amusement in reminding me that I wore a propeller beanie for most of my childhood.
Another memory being our wedding day. While I had been planning to marry Silky anyway, it was my mother finding out she was going to be having grandkids that made it happen sooner than I had planned. As I stopped at a stop sign a cold shiver ran down my spine. I vividly remember my mother ripping the door of our home off its hinges and chasing me around the house and property with a cast iron frying pan, yelling at me to take responsibility. Again, Silky took much enjoyment from watching our mother and son game of tag-the-dad-dead as she rolled on the ground crying tears of mirth.
Letting mom in on Silkys' secret had been the most stressful event we had ever been through so far. My mom being who she is though, took it in stride and didn't raise any fuss about Silky being half spider. She seemed excited about it actually and wouldn't stop pestering Silky with ideas and cute designs for the babies. That was one of the few things I was able to tease Silky back with, much to her adorable pouting.
I smile as I pull into the driveway of our modest, two-story home. Parking the car and walking up to the front door, I couldn't help but feel like the luckiest man in the world. As I entered my home, a weight dropped on my head, making me stagger slightly before catching my self. Wrapping my hands around it, I brought my assailant to eye level.
Silky had given birth to four beautiful girls. Constant Thread, Mercy Given, Graceful Hand, and Magnolia Skies, our daughters eggs hatching in that order. Despite being born out of eggs, the girls seemed normal until they hit three, where they shifted into their half spider forms and stayed that way. Silky explained it would take a while before they learned to shift back and forth between human and half spider. So naturally, they were all over the house... Including the ceiling.
"Magnolia Skies, what have I told you about ambushing Daddy?" I tried to sternly reprimand my squirming, eight legged assassins of a daughter but my youngest just giggled and wrapped her tiny arms around my head.
"To not too, Since I's is getting to be's a big girl now!" Her carefree, happy smile lit up the entryway like the sun and melted my heart.
"My daughter's such a smart girl." I cooed and started to tickle her belly, making her squeal and drawing the attention of the rest my girls.
"DADDY!" Twin cries reached my ears and I barely had time to brace myself as two eight legged blurs slammed into my legs and one into my gut, driving the wind out of my lungs and almost knocking me to the floor. Magnolia Skies, the youngest and my ceiling assassin, was a near mirror image of her mother, same hair and eyes but with my face, and she could wrap anyone around her little fingers with her big, smiling eyes. The two limpets holding my legs captive were the identical twins, Mercy Given and Graceful Hand. They'd both hatched from the same egg, which Silky said was very rare. They took their looks more after me. Both had beautiful chocolate brown eyes and dark blue hair with a stripe of light blue on their left side.
They often drove their mother crazy by switching back and forth between each other, talking in sync and even finishing each others sentences. I was the only one able to tell one from the other, much to Silkys' annoyance. They'd inherited their mothers mischievousness and were always up to something if you didn't keep at least one eye on them at all times.
My eldest daughter, Constant Thread, was the one who clung to my stomach. Constant surprised us as she looked more like my mother than me or Silky with her bright, sky blue eyes and soft, light brown hair. She was the smart and quiet one, always looking out for her younger sisters who always seemed to get into trouble. And by looking out I mean she was the one to distract their mother and I while the others tried to make a quick get away. Constant was the planner and leader of the group, when she didn't have her nose buried in her early learning books.
"Okay your four, scooch over so mommy can welcome daddy home too." My eyes lifted and met the amused ones of my wife of two years, as she sauntered over and planted a soft kiss on my lips. When I decided to stick around I didn't realize how big a deal it would be for Silky. Apparently, Most men didn't usually accept that the person they'd had sex with was basically half-spider at times, so most Jorogumo were single mothers. I was one hell of a catch simply by staying, and Silky, when not ready to breed, leaned toward the touchy-feely lover, which I had no complaints over. After returning her kiss I gently set Magnolia down and pried each daughter off to give all four a warm hug.
"You all behaved yourselves for mommy today, right?" I asked them, four heads, all in a line, nodded up and down so vigorously I thought they'd fly off. Glancing at Silky she gave a small smile in agreement. I nodded , putting my best wise father face on.
"That's good," I pause for effect. My little girls knew something was up, as their wide eyes stared at me with single-minded attention.
"Because only good girls can get candy from Grammy when she comes over this evening." I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing at the excited squeals my daughter made from hearing that, as they started bouncing up and down in joy. The girls loved their Grammy, and she loved to spoil them rotten. She was also the only one who could get all four of them to behave consistently, which made Silky and me so jealous and gave my mother no shortage of pride.
Squish! my daughters froze where they stood. I looked down at the floor, spotting what just made that sound when I stepped ahead.
"Alright," I crossed my arms with a sigh and stared with narrowed eyes at my now nervous looking daughters and their highly amused mother.
"Who left the webbing on the floor?" A parents job is never done it seems.
The End?
