Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Tonight was...how do I even describe it?! We got met by Princess Luna who needed help in tracking this nightmare monster called the Tantabus, and to do it she needed to go into each of our dreams and catch it before it got powerful enough to escape into the real world. Thankfully, we managed to get it in the end, but not before a whole mess of trouble. It spread to everypony in Ponyville, and in the end we all banded together to fight it as a team. Everypony, and I mean everypony had a shot at helping out, and it was, I've gotta be honest here, pretty awesome to see.

But then there came the kicker. Seems the Tantabus was made by Luna, and what's worse, it was because she wanted to deliberately hurt herself because of her time as Nightmare Moon. Now, I know she probably feels awful about that, and I wouldn't blame her, but something like this? This is way too far for her. Hurting herself was never gonna be any good, and as Twilight herself said, we already forgave her a long time ago. At the end, Luna managed to work herself past her guilt, and I hope she's having a more restful night's sleep because of it.

Still, it's hard to imagine she was doing this to herself all this time. Note to self, get her a nice present. Maybe that'll help her after this.
