Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

You may remember, way back when I first started writing in you, that I mentioned that me and Twilight were about to head out to a party with our old friend Moondancer before we got sent to Ponyville. Well, we actually had another encounter with her today. You see, after being reminded about how distant she was from her friends back in Canterlot, Twilight and me flew all the way back there for her to make amends for it all. At first, things looked good, and Minuette, Lemon Hearts and Twinkleshine were all just really happy to see her again.

But then it came down to Moondancer, and it seemed her being ignored by Twilight back in the day was taken a bit harder. And I mean really harder. She'd shut herself off from everypony, refusing to be friends with Twilight for a long time. Twilight did all she could to make up for it, but Moondancer was just so upset by it all that she was even in tears by the end of it. Thankfully, she and Twilight managed to patch things up, and with luck, they'll stay in contact after this. I guess we never consider just how painful losing a friend can be until you have a moments like this.

Oh, and I finally, finally got to give Moondancer my present from all those years ago, so there's that loose end tied up!
