Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Okay, I admit, the title is a bit of an exaggeration. It's not actually Ponyville being cleaned up, just a bit outside the town. You see, we had the annual Sisterhooves Social today and, well, one of the contestants got a bit too eager to win. No idea who it was but they completely wrecked the racetrack and everything. Everypony's pitching in to get the place back together, and Twilight suggested that she and I volunteer for it. I was happy to help, given that cleaning up messes is about half of my daily routine anyway, and hey it's a nice day for it with the sun shining and all that, so yeah, not too bad a way to spend the day.

Kinda wish I'd been here to see what happened though. From what I heard it was somepony with an even bigger competitive streak than Rainbow Dash, and that's saying something! Speaking of Rainbow, she and Scootaloo are here too, helping out. I asked them about the mare who did all this but they just started looking like it wasn't something they were supposed to talk about. Actually, a lot of ponies around here are acting like that. Well, everypony apart from that one old judge. He just smiled to himself as he thought about her, so think I'm just gonna leave it at that.

So yeah, still got some work to do here, so I'll catch up later.
