Dear Diary,

Today the most amazing thing in the entire history of Ponyville has just happened! Well, okay, not as amazing as Twilight becoming an alicorn. And yeah, not as amazing as a giant crystal palace appearing out of nowhere. But hey, this is definitely up there. The Cutie Mark Crusaders, after years of effort, have finally managed to get their cutie marks! I know, right?! I honestly thought that'd never happen! But it did! And you know what else? They all got them at the exact same time! So it's sort of like how Twilight and all of our friends got their marks after Rainbow's first rainboom years ago. So yeah, this is a pretty special day, and their families and all our friends are so happy for them too.

I know I've complained about those girls a few times in the past, to you mostly, but the truth is I really do think of them as friends. Sure, they've messed up from time to time, and yeah they've done things I haven't been entirely on-board with, but I can honestly say that I'm happy to have had them in my life, and today I am just as thrilled as everypony else that they've accomplished this. With their goal of helping others with their own mark problems, I'm looking forward to seeing what those fillies can do.
