Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today, me and Twilight got ourselves a little surprise. Flurry came over to be babysat! Cadance and Shining needed some time off, so they left Flurry with us for the day, and I cannot even do justice to how happy and excited Twilight was over that prospect. Seriously, I haven't seen her this eager for something since the day she decided to re-organize the castle's libraries. Flurry was pretty happy about it too, especially after her "Aunty Twily" gave her some new little toy friends to play with. It was just a nice and adorable moment, which I guess is expected when there's a foal involved.

Things sorta got difficult when Twilight's schedule got involved and she became distracted with a whole bunch of other stuff. Between that and having to look after Flurry when she started getting into trouble, Twilight was feeling the pressure of it all. Thankfully, she was able to get the whole thing sorted out, as well as learning to appreciate the fact that she shouldn't have accepted the task of looking after Flurry if she didn't have her complete focus on her. The day was nice though in spite of all that, and it was really good to see Flurry again.

I do wonder how Shining and Cadance got on with their trip to the art gallery though. Maybe I'll check it out myself when I've got time?
