Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

You know, I've never been camping myself, and I thought I'd give it a try. Now, you're probably confused about where this has come from all of a sudden, so let me explain. You see, Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow decided to take the Crusaders out on a camping trip, sort of like they did a few years ago, and it got me thinking that it might be fun to try it myself. And hey, Twilight was nice enough to help teach me how to set up a tent and everything. So, here I am, Spike the camper, braving the wilds of Equestria with only my wits and a small amount of supplies to help me get through the experience.

Okay, granted, the "wilds" in this scenario is just the back garden behind the Friendship Palace, but sill I'm out here, all by myself, with only the bare minimum necessities, like my flashlight, a box full of food, my comic collection, a nice soft pillow, my stuffed Rarity toy, a few books given by Twilight and a few cans of soda. But only as much as is needed out here. I can only imagine what hardships the other campers are having out there right now, but hey, I'm sure they're doing just fine. I mean, I'm a first-time camper and I'm dong pretty awesome myself, right?

So yeah, it's getting dark now, so I think I'll tuck in. Later, Diary.
