Dear Diary,

Rarity...had a bad day today. And I mean a really bad day. After a mix-up with some of Zecora's potions, she, well, lost her mane. I won't go into too much detail, but let's just say she wasn't looking her best. Her friends and I tried to help her, but nothing could really replace it. But, after all of this difficulty, she realised that she's fabulous even without it. So she went out there, got herself a brand new look, and strutted around like she owned the place. And let's be honest, having her actually own the place would be a pretty awesome thing.

It's times like this when I'm reminded why I like her so much. Oh, sure, there are ponies who may look at her and say she's "too worried about looks" or some nonsense like that, but when you get right down to it, even if you took that away, Rarity's still great. She has her confidence, she has her way with others, and when she gets in the right frame of mind for it she can take whatever bad looks are thrown her way as nothing to worry about. Mane or not, Rarity is an incredible mare, and let it never be said that she isn't!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go and finish picking up all of this stray mane-hair around here. And no, you don't get to ask about that.
