Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today, it was decided by Twilight that I need to do more to brush up on the history of Equestria and the famous ponies that have lived here. Why? Well, seems Rainbow and Pinkie have had a few history lessons of their own while out helping Daring Do. Oh, yeah, seems Daring was having some trouble and wanted to retire, so Rainbow and Pinkie went over, talked to her, had an adventure and so on and so forth and now she's back to adventuring. But, yeah, they came back from that whole trip with this story of some mare named Somnambula who was this really big deal back in the day, and that basically inspired Twilight to try and teach me some stuff.

Now, I'm no stranger to her going off like this. I mean, heck, you should have seen her after that one Nightmare Night when I told her I didn't know who Starswirl the Bearded was. She basically sat me down and read out his whole life story until I'd memorised it. And I can assure you she's probably gonna do the same here today. Not only about Somnambula, but every other hero and heroine Equestria's ever seen.

Ugh, I'm gonna get myself some tea to calm myself before this starts, because this is gonna be a long day.
