Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Today, I am all by myself here at the Friendship Palace. Starlight's out hanging with Trixie, Owlowiscious is busy chilling with the other pets, and Twilight, thanks to yours truly, has been convinced to go on a vacation with her family for the first time in forever! So, it's just me, and I've got a whole day of covering for Twilight and helping sort out her Princess paperwork. I'm pretty happy to be helping her if it means she gets some time off, because believe me, she's been looking exhausted lately. She needs this more than you can imagine, and I hope she has a wonderful time with Cadance, Flurry and all the others on that zeppelin of theirs.

But anyway, back to the paperwork. You wouldn't believe how much stuff gets brought Twilight's way with all this. I mean, I'm looking at this one paper in particular, and it's to do with overlooking tax legislation over in Manehattan. Since when did Twilight get involved with that part of Equestria? Are any of these things actually her responsibility? Because I'm starting to get a sneaking suspicion that she was only given it because a certain somepony didn't want to do it themselves. Well, I wouldn't bring it up with Twilight, because let's face it, she'd do the work even if it wasn't hers.

Anyway, no sense complaining. Might as well keep working on it. And hey, if Prince Blueblood's "high commission for Baltimare upper-class parties" needs my input, then I'm sure I can come up with a few suggestions for them. Hehehe.
