Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

I recently got myself a new job, and it's Starlight's role as the school's guidance counsellor. Well, me and anypony who has time to pitch in. You see, she decided to head on out to help Trixie with one of her tours, and it's all the way down in Saddle Arabia! I've never been there myself, and I look forward to hearing what kinds of stuff the two got up to on that trip. But anyway, back to my new job. And boy oh boy, I had no idea Starlight had this many ponies to talk to on a regular basis. There's every grievance under the sun being brought to me right now. How does she cope?

But, at the very least, she made sure to give me some notes and guidelines on what to do in times like this, and her advice has been very helpful to me so far. I especially like when Fluttershy or Applejack come in to help. They're always so much better with the students than I am. With luck, we can go Starlight's entire absence without a single mental breakdown. And if we do get one, well, at least we can rest assured that it's only going to be mine from all this work.

Now, sorry to cut things short, but I've just got another client. Apparently they've got a dream about falling a lot. Gotta go.
