Dear Diary,

You know, I really like Pinkie. She's optimistic, energetic, has a wonderful outlook on life and...yeah, you already know I'm about to say something bad, don't you? Well, seems she'd started taking on this new hobby of playing a...something-or-other from Yakyakistan. And no, I can't remember it's name, and believe me, I've tried. Now, I'm all for taking on hobbies, but the thing is, well, she wasn't very good at it. She was pretty terrible to be honest. And when we told her, she seemed to be fine at first. But then things kinda got out of control when she decided to leave Ponyville entirely over it.

Our friends tracked her all the way to Yakyakistan, and they were able to convince her to come back. What's more, she decided to keep on playing. I know she's not very good, but hey, it makes her happy, and that's what matters. A happy Pinkie is better than a sad one any day of the week. And who knows, maybe she'll get better in time. Twilight told me they heard some of the genuine stuff up North, and if Pinkie stays at it long enough, she might actually get that good. We can only hope.

And if not, well, at least that new earplug store that opened up last week will get some pretty decent business, right?
